When we arrived in Penticton we made our way to The Black Antler for dinner (that is another…read morereview) and I tried the Church & State Cab Sauv, it was delicious. We decided to make our way there for a tasting. Simply incredible. Amanda led us through the reds and told us the story behind the winery and the Winemaker. There is a feel French feel and commitment to making great wines here and the pride really shows. I'm a big fan of Meritage and they do a wonderful blend of Merlot and Cab Franc. It was delicious and full bodied with a wonderful smooth and lingering finish. The Petit Verdot and Merlot are outstanding as well. Overall a great winery and one not to be missed in the Oliver region.

This is probably now my least favourite winery in Oliver. It used to be one of my favourite and had…read moresome very good wines for a reasonable price. This last visit was almost embarrassing. The person doing the tasting was very neutral and did not give much enthusiasm or information. " here is what we have what would you like" literally.......there was no atmosphere, no personality, no hospitality. Very dry. We purchased 2 bottles, one white, one red......bill came to $123.00 we left. Not until we checked our receipt did we question what had be charged. We called and explained, the woman who had done the tasting said if we didn't want the wine to return it, but that we had not been over charged. So we did. $80 for an OK bottle of 2016 Petit Verdot. Anyways don't even bother, lots of other great wineries, just keep driving!

Unfortunately, I must leave a low rating because wheelchair accessibility was very poor…read more The guide was exceptional and so apologetic. But, this was a teaching moment for her as this was her first time locking in and securing a wheelchair properly on the shuttle. For some of the trips between wineries, I had to hang-on to my seatbelt that was attached to the floor in order to avoid tipping over in my chair. The first trip, I had to have my partner ( who has a very bad back) bend over and hang on-to the rigid frame chair to prevent me from falling forward or backwards. The bus ride was very, very, hot due to the air conditioning vent being at the back of the bus avoiding the designated wheelchair spot altogether. Overheating with a spinal cord injury can require emergency medical assistance because people cannot regulate their temperature. All of these issues should must be rectified as soon as possible especially as you are advertising as a wheelchair accessible shuttle service. Drivers should, at the very least, have practical experience, and extensive training for assisting people with disabilities in a wheelchair...and for this reason only, my review is a 2 out of 5 stars. This is unfortunate because everything else about the tour was exceptional, and all of the wineries had accessible ramps and washrooms. The Okanagan Wine region definitely does not disappoint! I just wish I could have relaxed on the excursion and felt comfortable and safe. Regretfully, Derek Moxam

Knowledgable, funny and the woman knows her wine! Went to 4 different winery's plus lunch. A total of almost 6 hours start to finish. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone who, like us, loves wine tasting and doesn't want the hassle of driving.

Today, we played this course and keep on pace front 9 under 2 hrs, and whole course under 3:50mins. Yet, Marshal kept coming around claiming we are slow because group front of you is one and half hole ahead. When we got on the first tee on time, no one was front of us. If no was front of us, how are we behind? So we explained the logical reasons, yet told us stop arguing just hit the ball. This guy had no clue even when we actually stated the our tee off before claiming we are behind. Shouldn't logical reason should be considered before coming to any conclusive outcome before claiming of wrong doing? What the hell? Never play here again and I'm sure all of our friends will not either.

From a course perspective the course is fine and enjoyable to play. From a customer service…read moreperspective I would say its less than acceptable. From my experience in most industries you allays take care of your customers, at Nk'Mip, its almost like they are doing you a favor by letting you play on their course. This is an unacceptable attitude that leads to satisfaction issues. At the end of the day being professional and courteous is the base of all client engagements and that's not the experience at Nk'Mip especially with a certain person at pro shop who present himself as the manager. I have been golfing here for 5 years with a group that has golfed here for much longer and because of our experience last week June 7th, my vote would to not golf here any longer there are many other beautiful courses in the Okanagan valley that value their customers,. If you value customer service, professionalism, and respect let your feet send a message and walk away from this establishment, it's not worth it, when there are so many other options in the Okanagan. Sorry I could not give any lower a rating than 1 star!

And there's no confirmation email/text/number provided even though I had to give my credit card over the phone to hold the reservation. When we pulled into the parking lot I had a moment of regret thinking I'd made the wrong choice. But everything after that was perfect. John met us at our car and led us to his office where we processed paperwork the old-school way, then he led us to our room which was clean and nicely updated. I like his style and what he's done with this 1950's motel. No frills but all the essential accommodations, and a great jumping off point for wine tasting and exploring the area. Oh, and we recommend popping over to the Ditch Cafe in the morning for a coffee and breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again.

(Also he did not tell me before hand to not sleep in both beds so I was totally blind sided by his hostility.)
