Full set of silver wear; including set of cooking knifes. Dish set and wine glasses all in their proper places throughout the kitchen cabinets. Again, didn't expect any of that and it came very handy. Great sofa set with love set. 2 Toshiba LCDs - one in bedroom and the other in the living room. I asked her was she referring to my son, who was currently looking at candy near the register my son took one out and asked me if it was candy. I told him yes; my son turned to a customer who was behind us and showed the candy to him then my returned the candy to the plastic container and put it on the counter. The cashier stated that my son was passing out candy and I said no he was showing it to the customer behind us. Cashier's response was "our security is not familiar with him and might misunderstand him. Which made no sense to me. Staff needs to be inserviced on the Rights of the Disabled mentally/physically. The cashier's explanation, in regard to security was totally unacceptable left me very uncomfortable. It would have been a sad day for security. Room is clean, spacious, little fridge and microwave in case you buy the Red Hot Bomb burrito from the mini mart. In room Keurig but they offer free coffee and cocoa in the store. If you've traveled for many days, there's a laundry mat connected. There's a little picnic area next to the stretch of rooms. Heater works, carpet is new and rooms are clean. Beds are comfy. Noise from road seems to be a bit loud but I brought ear phones and a sleep hypnosis app :-)

John met us at our car and led us to his office where we processed paperwork the old-school way, then he led us to our room which was clean and nicely updated. I like his style and what he's done with this 1950's motel. No frills but all the essential accommodations, and a great jumping off point for wine tasting and exploring the area. Oh, and we recommend popping over to the Ditch Cafe in the morning for a coffee and breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again.

We let our son color on a dollar bill & we all signed it & the manager, without even saying anything to him, brought us a stable gun that he quietly sat on the edge of our table so we could put the dollar up on their walls of bills when ready. The food was great - the fries where probably the best fries my husband & myself have had in a long time & our son ACTUALLY ATE HIS FOOD!!! Great job to the two guys working. My favourite menu item I tried was the Steak Sandwich. It was cooked to my liking and came with onion rings on top! Although the hotel room was right above the pub, it closed at 9 or 11 pm depending on the night so the noise was not an issue for us at all. The hotel also offers a shared kitchen/lounge where we would make breakfast or warm up any leftovers. A nice option if you don't want to eat out every meal. Great wineries and golf courses very accessible from here so we will no doubt return some day.

If you're interested in RVs, it's a cool way to get to know one. The RVs for rent here are all fixed in place just for accommodation purposes--not for driving around. They all have stocked kitchens and bathrooms, and at least one has an enclosed deck. Ours rented for $79 a night and it was really comfortable and fun. The management was friendly and helpful. Even though the motel and campsite was completely full, the place was quiet at night--the loudest thing around were the birds at sunrise. There's a grassy, shaded courtyard with grills, laundry, WiFi, and a small pool. If we were to come back to the area, we would definitely return here for the ambience and value!
