Again, didn't expect any of that and it came very handy. Great sofa set with love set. 2 Toshiba LCDs - one in bedroom and the other in the living room. I asked her was she referring to my son, who was currently looking at candy near the register my son took one out and asked me if it was candy. I told him yes; my son turned to a customer who was behind us and showed the candy to him then my returned the candy to the plastic container and put it on the counter. The cashier stated that my son was passing out candy and I said no he was showing it to the customer behind us. Cashier's response was "our security is not familiar with him and might misunderstand him. Which made no sense to me. Staff needs to be inserviced on the Rights of the Disabled mentally/physically. The cashier's explanation, in regard to security was totally unacceptable left me very uncomfortable. It would have been a sad day for security. If you've traveled for many days, there's a laundry mat connected. There's a little picnic area next to the stretch of rooms. Heater works, carpet is new and rooms are clean. Beds are comfy. The staff was wonderful, friendly and very helpful! This is an old hotel with a few blemishes, that's why I say it's a 2 star but everything considered it had the heart of a 5 star hotel. Also, it was 100 degrees yesterday so I took a dip in the pool which felt great! I recommend this motel especially if you are on a budget.

Dock is sinking, boats need life jackets, no paddle boats, trash, and dead fish in campfire rings. Tent sites were horrible, burned dirt, charcoal everywhere not one level place suitable for a large tent. Couldn't even figure out which campsite was mine. Ended up camping by the cabin my daughter rented. Some serious safety issues a ungrounded floating outlet and a hot plate that barely worked without knobs for burner control which were too hot to touch. Steps without a proper handrail and porch railings spaced far enough apart to let a child fall thru! Won't be back. Its nothing like how it used to be...

When asked to bring a take home box without looking at what was on my plate she brought me the smallest box she had. I said to her I need a bigger box, and in her disdain she said I will bring you a bigger one. Her level of disinterest in serving our table, her looking down her nose at us was just beyond. Although the hotel room was right above the pub, it closed at 9 or 11 pm depending on the night so the noise was not an issue for us at all. The hotel also offers a shared kitchen/lounge where we would make breakfast or warm up any leftovers. A nice option if you don't want to eat out every meal. Great wineries and golf courses very accessible from here so we will no doubt return some day.

If you're interested in RVs, it's a cool way to get to know one. The RVs for rent here are all fixed in place just for accommodation purposes--not for driving around. They all have stocked kitchens and bathrooms, and at least one has an enclosed deck. Ours rented for $79 a night and it was really comfortable and fun. The management was friendly and helpful. Even though the motel and campsite was completely full, the place was quiet at night--the loudest thing around were the birds at sunrise. There's a grassy, shaded courtyard with grills, laundry, WiFi, and a small pool. If we were to come back to the area, we would definitely return here for the ambience and value!

The manager only wanted to deny anything and say "we must have lost it". The other issue we had was the power went out for several hours, so no air conditioning in 38C weather! ouch.
