Mattress room 607
Heaven S.

Beware of the beds. Look at the actual mattress before even sitting down your things. Pics attached are from 2 different rooms. We started out in room 309. I did my standard strip of the bed and saw both bottom corners of the bed were disgusting. We went down to the desk and showed them these pics. They immediately booked us into another room, 607. My wife wouldn't even enter the room before I did my strip of the bed. Top left corner was so gross. We immediately went downstairs to the desk. After showing the second room's picture, I sat and waited in the waiting area. A new lady (not the manager) came out and said they were going to refund our stay. They offered nothing other than telling us they were going to refund us. We were 1200 miles from home with nowhere to stay. Luckily, we booked through a third party and they were able to get us in a nicer hotel room with no disgusting mattress in our room. My guess would be bed bugs, but I'm no exterminator... I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel has already exceeded my expectations. Airport hotels are a necessity for travelers but not they are not always the best. This place is clean, convenient, and the front desk staff was very friendly. When we checked in, my husband asked for a room on "the quiet side." The desk clerk replied that they are all quiet. The website says they have sound proof glass, and you can tell that is true. They do offer an airport shuttle, although we have a rental car to return so we will not need to use it. Breakfast is included & it is served between 6 and 10 am, which is longer than many other places. Breakfast had a good number of options: muffins, bagels, English muffins, hard boiled eggs, link sausage, yogurt, fruit, waffle maker, cereals, breakfast bars, yogurt, string cheese. There was an attendant who was refreshing depleted items. The room is large, has decent lighting, a king bed, mini fridge, small microwave, and coffee maker. There is a restaurant right next door and other options nearby.

I usually stay at Marriott properties but due to a flight change, I stayed at this hotel. It was last minute and the rate was full price. The room was pretty clean and comfortable. They offered breakfast in the morning. I had their hard boiled eggs & sausage which they prepared. When I went back to the room, something didn't set well & made me sick to my stomach. I laid down to try & feel better. There was a knock at the door 2x prior to checkout time. I forgot to latch the door and the attendant started to walk in, even though I announced that I was feeling sick! I called down to the desk and spoke with the supervisor Cecilia & advised her that I was not feeling well because of what I ate from their breakfast. She only reiterated the checkout time. I told her I was trying to rest and housekeeping kept knocking at the door. I still had 45 min. to checkout and laid down again. I was still sick to my stomach. Housekeeping knocked again right at checkout time! I called down and requested a late checkout so I could try to feel better. The same supervisor again only reiterated the checkout time. Again I said I wasn't well and I just needed some time. She said she could give me a 1/2 hour. I asked if I could have a little longer because I still need to get my things together as well and she said no, they were booked up today. As I tried to get ready while still sick, I got a call again! She said housekeeping was waiting outside. I asked if I could speak with the manager. She said she's a supervisor. I asked for the General manager. Then General manager, Tonya, answered. I explained my situation and all she could say was that no one else complained & she ate the breakfast & was fine. I said that's great but after I ate it, I became ill! I asked what they do when this happens? She said something about a thermometer & checking the temperature?? I assume that was for checking the cooked food temperature? What has that got to do with me being ill from the food?? I asked if I need to report it officially & is there a document to fill out? She said no. So nothing is reported and to just take the temperature?? She just suggested to go to the doctor but nothing formal is done. I asked if there isn't some formal protocol of reporting like there is for an accident? She said no. Then told me she could give me 15 to 20 minutes more to vacate the room. Wow! So she basically called me a liar, disregarded me & my being sick from their food, excused themselves from responsibility, and rudely told me to just vacate! I told her the reason I asked to stay in the room a little longer was for my stomach to subside so that I wouldn't be sitting in the lobby and throwing up. She didn't care & refused to extend the time! I sat in the lobby/breakfast room area still running to the restroom. When I was due to leave, I asked the afternoon staff again. Julia, the afternoon supervisor said she called the G.M. Again no report to be done. But now the G.M. said I should go to emergency & obtain a report and bring it back. This was never said when I spoke with her directly!! I have worked in hospitality for many years, in various companies. Even for Westin downtown Seattle & could not be more shocked at how this was handled! All companies have systems in place when things like this happen on property. Something's really wrong here!! Very poor management & customer service!! I definitely DO NOT recommend this hotel! On my way to the doctor!

However, they worked swiftly and efficiently. Shuttle to SeaTac ran every half hour 24hr a day. Rooms are quiet and clean. After check-in I received a text asking is all ok. I asked a question about parking and received a quick, but thorough response and a kind "let me know if you need anything else". This hotel is one I definitely will continue to use in the future

When we did pull in, the entrance for cars was small and packed. Three cars and a shuttle bus... no more room except to pop up on the sidewalk. The shuttle driver was trying to get the cars moved so he could turn in at the lobby. Really poor development design. The lobby was well lit with plenty of signage. The staff were very smooth and polite. I asked about parking and was told that there is underground parking for a fee?!? Go down a tight left hand turn and there is a card scanner. Use the room key to open the shuttered gate. The fee gets charged to your room. I made reservations online and never spoke to a human. There was no mention at all on the website regarding parking. I chose this location because the satellite imagery on the computer showed an open parking area. Apparently that was the Doubletree hotel next door. So on top of the expensive room I also have to pay an additional $25 just to park here for the one night. I feel deceived by this omission about parking. The staff apologized and agreed with my frustration. At least the parking basement is locked, caged and secured. Nobody is breaking into THAT basement. The room is very nice with the exception of this sliding barn door on rollers for a bathroom door. Wow, only just better than a shower curtain for a door. The rest of the room is open, airy and clean. The beds are firm and the furniture is comfortable. The carpeting is in good condition. There is plenty of room to unpack and hang clothes. The room has an iron and board, but only has three small 'sock drawers'. The shower, however, is very spacious and the bathroom has a hairdryer. The room is also equipped with a fairly large mini fridge as well as a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. PRO TIP: We're here because we board a cruise ship tomorrow. After this experience and one similar last month.... I have learned that from now on, just get the initial few hundred miles of driving done, then find a small place OUTSIDE of the city where prices are more reasonable and you don't have to pay fees for everything. Next time I will stay outside of Seattle then only need an hour or so on the freeways to finish the destination the next day.

The executive lounge was a bit small, but it offered a good selection of beverages. Breakfast was somewhat limited, though it included scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, breads, and fresh fruit. The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms look great, and the location is super convenient if you're flying in or out of SEA. We also ate in the lounge area and really enjoyed the food. The crab cake, bao buns, and shrimp and salmon Cobb salad were all delicious and made for a great last meal in Seattle. Unfortunately, the biggest issue for us was the noise and extremely thin walls. We were in room 710, and we could clearly hear coughing and entire conversations from the room next door. There was also a random pinging noise every so often. It got to the point where we found ourselves whispering because we knew our neighbors could probably hear us just as clearly. That made it difficult to really relax and enjoy the room. We considered asking to move, but since it was later in the day and we were only staying one night before our flight home, we decided to stay put.

September 24, 2026…read more Ok ... so this is not a review about the DoubleTree Hotel (Airport) here in Seattle itself. The hotel is large (sprawling, really) and reasonably well maintained. It's also good for the price and is very, very quiet... which is a total win, if a good night's sleep is your thing. No... this is a review of their buffet breakfast, and it will probably not surprise you. I was *underwhelmed* and really disappointed. As you can see from the attached pictures, the food is not high quality. Their scrambled eggs? BUILDING MATERIALS. Their danish? OLD, DRY, COMMERCIAL, NOT WORTH EATING. The potatoes? Limp, Luke warm, flavorless. The best thing on the buffet was the fresh fruit and the yogurt cups, even though the yogurt isn't Chobani or another high-quality maker like Faget. For the $30.00 that they charge, you can do A LOT better elsewhere!!
