I have far too many doctors. Really. But that fact gives me a different perspective on what…read morequalifies as a "good relationship" with one's physician. Dr. Western is kind, observant and responsive. He is definitely NOT of the "pill-pusher" variety. He asks a lot of questions and actually seems to LISTEN to them. Instead of facing his computer for the duration of the appointment as so many doctors do today, he maintains eye-contact, takes notes which, I assume, will be transcribed LATER. He takes the time to hear my complaint(s). What has impressed me all along (for several years) is that he might recommend another doctor for a specific problem rather than opting to prescribe still another medication. And, again unlike many of the doctors I have gone to over the past couple of years, he will pick up his stethoscope, check out my ears, etc., etc........the common, ordinary things that doctors USED to do. I like his manner very much and hope that others see what I see.

I've had my appointments start late because he is spending time with other patients, but I don't mind because I know I will get the same investment of time. The support staff is hit or miss. When I first started going, the front desk was kinda rude and would not charge me properly after my insurance play changed from a copay of $30 to coinsurance of $21. I didn't notice until I got my explanation of benefits. But this was years ago. One of the nurses there has worked there the entire time I've been going. Unfortunately, I don't know her name, but she is legit and you can tell she takes her job seriously. Overall, if they're accepting new patients, I would go with Dr Romano.
