I have very bad experiences at this store.
It is understandable that you want to sell product. However, stalking the customer is really not necessary. I've had to ask, on multiple occasions, to please just let me look versus following me and pointing out every product.
At other times, when ready to make a purchase, I let someone know that I'm ready to check out and am told someone will be with me shortly. After waiting for 5 plus minutes, I leave. The staff was talking with each other. It would seem that you want to sell, but once someone is ready to buy, you can't quite finish the deal.
Let's back up a bit further. I purchased my first Coach purse last year. The sales gal was very effective and told me that ANY issues with the purse, just bring it back and they take care of ANYTHING. Wow. That is a good deal. I was very excited.
One of my rare purchases at their store has an issue. Ink got on the purse. My favorite no less. I took it to the store because I was told they take care of ANYTHING. Did you know that ANYTHING doesn't really mean ANYTHING? Weird, right? Come one, a sales person wouldn't really lie, right? Well, they don't help if there is ink on the purse.
After being constantly interrupted by a new sale gal (she said she was new), she finally got someone else to help. When I tried to explain the situation to the guy that came over, she kept interrupting again. I got tired of this and asked her to leave. The guy huffed and puffed and told me I can't talk to their employees like that and that she is a store manager and can stay if she likes. Really? She already told me she was new and didn't know the store policies.
Then he says he has to go talk to the manager. At this point, I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing. Isn't she standing right in front of us?
After being gone a very short time, he comes back and says I'm not going to like what he has to say. They WOULD help me out except the purse is OLD. I've only had it a few months, so I asked what he meant. He explained the purse LINE is old so they can't help me. I asked why I was told that ANY issue would be resolved and you know what he told me? He crossed his arms and very snootily told me that I should take better care of my purses and not bother them. Say what? At that point I became loud in the store and told him not to talk to customers like that and that I would not be returning to a store that lies to the customers. Heck, I don't even think he talked to a manger. Wasn't she still in front of us?
Just beware of this store. They will tell you anything to sell the product and then walk all over you when you actually ask for their help.
I did contact Coach via their customer service number that evening and was told someone would contact me within 2-3 business days. 10 days later...no call. I emailed them and they were kind enough to tell me that they don't cover ink on the purse but declined to comment regarding their employees' behavior.
No more Coach for me. There are better places to spend my hard earned money than businesses who don't care about their customers. read more
