Whether you are a serious athlete or someone who is looking to get in shape socially with great people, Coach Lesley can hook you up! I am new to the Coach Lesley "crew" and am having so much fun getting a great education in endurance training. I found out about her coaching, one on one and group activities through some good friends and signed up with her to prepare me for the Chelanman half-ironman distance triathlon I will be competing in this July. This will be my first triathlon and I am getting all the information and assistance necessary to have a strong performance. Coach Lesley's guidance, support and great group runs, rides and swims are helping me to acheive a much higher level of fitness than I would otherwise be able to. I am seeing massive improvement in my speed and endurance and am having a blast. Coach Lesley is awesome and can help ALL COMERS to get into better shape! read more

I highly recommend Lesley regardless of your level, ability, or goals. She's very knowledgeable about fitness and training and always stays updated with the latest advances in coaching. She cares about her clients at the personal level and personalizes their training to their personal needs. Her group workouts are a plus - not only you get assistance during the run, ride or swim, but you also get to share with a great group of people. read more

I found Lesley to be the most uninspiring coach I have training with. Her workouts were very routine, and boring. I could have gotten the same type of information from the internet. I didn't feel that she tailored my training to my needs or to my ability. She would rarely check in, even before/after a race and when she did it was a brief email with a sentence of "how are you doing, need anything?". I expect much more than this from a coach, I expect a coach to be monitoring my progress through my training results (available thru Training Peaks) and noting any trends, failures or successes. Also, making suggestions based on what they are seeing. I got none of this. She seemed more interested in touting her running achievements than she did in helping me get to my training goals. read more

Coach Lesely is amazing. I started training with her when I wanted to lose weight and feel healthier and complete the Danskin Triathlon. She helped me (a confirmed couch potato) not only finish the Danskin but also feel that anything was possible and I completed a 1/2 iron man the next year. She is very good at working with my schedule and budget. With her years of experience with her own training (she has competed in the ironman Canada and ironman Kona at least twice if not more as well as Sprint and Olympic distance tri's as well) and training others plus the numerous certifications and continuing education she continues to receive she is on the cutting edge of triathlon training techniques. I would highly recommend Lesely to any skill level from beginner to competitive. read more

Coach Lesley helped me go from jogging/ walking 3 miles to finishing the Kona Half Marathon in nine months of training. During these months of training she was a constant source of support, knowledge and encouragement. She has an extensive background in nutrition, and helped me figure out the best ways to fuel my body. One of the best aspects of working with Coach Lesley is the group training available. I participated in her strength training sessions, as well as her track workouts. I was very hesitant to do either because I was unsure of how I would fit in, being on the lower end of fitness. What I found was a wide variety of people all with goals of their own. No judgement. And what I gained was a new group of health conscious friends. read more

I met Lesley at Always Running at Green Lake in August 08. I started training with her in January 09 after I saw what a great coach she was with her clients. She is very attentive, which is what I need most from a coach, understands where you are and your life's demands. But at the same time, she doesn't let you make any excuses for slacking. She is a very cheerful and fun person too, which certainly helps. I'm relatively mild in the world of uber-triathletes, and she works for me, but I have also met some of her highly competitive clients - including Iron Man competitors. Lesley is also a very smart person (Magna or Suma Cum Laude in school for exercise physiology I think), so is able to integrate everything she knows into her coaching. If you haven't already guessed, I highly recommend her! read more

Coach Lesley is fantastic! She is an incredibly talented coach and trainer, and takes the time to really get to know her clients on a personal level. Each month she designs a completely personalized workout plan that works with my schedule, challenges me physically, and produces results. She has regular group runs, circuit training sessions, and cycling classes to keep things fun and interesting. The group runs are an interesting mix of trail runs and local runs through the different neighborhoods in Seattle. Coach Lesley has a cheerful and upbeat personality, but doesn't let her sense of fun distract her from helping her clients achieve their goals. I've been training with her for about 6 months, and she has helped me improve the consistency of my workouts, and I'm confident that with her help I'll be able to go after a marathon PR this summer. read more

A whole new world has been opened up to me thanks to Coach Lesley. Prior to meeting Lesley I was doing some running with my biggest accomplishment of finishing a couple of 1/2 marathons. I liked it but I was pretty sore and uncomfortable during and afterwards. I had also done a couple of sprint triathlons and doggy paddled my way through the swim. I thought it would be fun to do more of them and maybe even a slightly longer distance triathlon but I just could not swim. ... and then I met Coach Lesley. I had a bee in my bonnet that I wanted to do a 1/2 Ironman even though I could not swim very well. I was expecting Lesley to tell me that my goal of completing one was not realistic but instead she had every bit of confidence that I could do it and not just that but that I could do it that next summer. Lesley taught me so much about sports nutrition, the science behind each workout, timing, injury prevention and so much more. I have met so many other inspiring people during the group workouts Lesley offers too. I had originally always said I was only half crazy and I wouldn't do anything longer than 1/2 marathons or 1/2 Ironman distance triathlons but after hanging out with Coach Lesley and the CoachLesley.com Team, I jumped into the realm of marathons and full Ironman distances. Thanks to Lesley I have now completed 2 full Ironman races with the 3rd coming up next March. Lesley's coaching and confidence in me has led me to doing things I never would've considered myself capable of doing. Without Lesley's guidance I would've perpetually injured myself, over trained and never would've figured out that there is a way to do these activities and still feel great when you finish!!! Thank you soooooo much Lesley and the CoachLesley.com Team!!!! From beginners to elites, no matter what your athletic goals are, if you need guidance, education, accountability and a fun group to help motivate you then Coach Lesley has the experience to get you where you want to go:) read more

I am one of those people who doesn't like e close personal attention for almost anything. Especially when doing a workout, I am conscientious about someone watching my every move. However, I'm also very interested in improving my fitness and gaining strength and endurance. Coach Lesley has done all this for me and more. She is simply amazing. Although many of her clients are runners and triathletes, I am a "gym" person. She has taken the time to personally adapt to whatever needs I have each month and customizes my workouts precisely to improve in the way I want to. She is knowledgeable, intelligent, kind, caring and available. I could not imagine a better trainer. I recommend her highly to anyone seeking to improve their health. She is simply the best. read more

Thanks to Lesley I've achieved what I thought it was impossible for me: from completing short Triathlons to an Ironman (my first one was last year, and I am preparing for my second one this year). She has an extensive knowledge in training principles and how to help everyday athletes reach their goals, but more importantly, she is a great motivator and makes the entire experience feel less intimidating. read more

I have been training with Coach Lesley for over 8 months now. I came to her as a runner but having no bike experience and zero swim (could stay afloat in the water but could not SWIM). Two weekends ago I did my first sprint tri and placed in the top ten in my age category. Coach Lesley has helped me through a lot of firsts: first time to swim in open water and confront my irrational fears; first time to bike more than 10 miles (did 65 miles on Saturday). One of Coach Lesley's great strengths is pairing up similar athletes on workouts. She does a great job of combining everyone into the same "team, yet tailoring programs to meet everyone's disparate needs. Finally, her real authority comes from her deep knowledge of all the disciplines; she has saved me from injury numerous times due to adjustments on the bike and on the run she has instructed me to make. All of her athletes are extremely loyal to her. She inspires. In a month, due to her help, I will be on the start line of my first half Ironman. Thanks to Coach Lesley, I know I will be ready to compete. read more
