We walked into Zales and were greeted right away. The saleswoman that greeted us was so excited to help us and to educate us on diamonds. She was so calm and patient with us, we finally felt like we had a grasp on what we wanted and how to shop. We left Zales that night with our new knowledge and continued to shop around over the next week; we explored about another 20 stores all over the state, several online and made some calls to out of state jewelers. We returned to Zales because we felt comfortable with the quality and the attention that we were receiving - we knew that we were being taken care of and that the salespeople had our best interests in mind. From her attire to the way that she greeted us it seems that she was more interested in remaining on the on the phone then to provide a service. Immediately seeing her body language we asked to please have someone else assist us. Where she denied. She began her passive aggressive accusational questions. Finding any excuse not to help us or push us along. From us being at fault, to not having the right ring size, dismissing the corporate email, to not being in an a confidential list, not being able to scan the code, and even devaluating the piece although the price and serial number is on the box and she said it didn't scan( I still can't understand that one). Yesterday afternoon, just after crossing the threshold I was greeted by an employee, that's ok. Two steps later, greeted again by the employee standing next to her, asked if I needed any help. I said I was just browsing. Take another turn, same thing but this time offering product suggestions. Got to the point that I was very uncomfortable and left. Maybe an idea is to let a customer shop and look at their own pace instead of fighting for the quick sale. Again, has nothing to do with the product, but omg, don't charge at me like a pack of starving hyenas.
