What an interesting supermarket. It's huge, two stories tall, and has about 40 cashiers. Yup, no…read morejoke, 40 cashiers. You don't see that in the US, and they even have self service! It's a pretty typical grocery store, but it's very large, so guess what? Selection is going to be huge. Also, some things were really cheap. 1 pound for a whole pie? No joke! There is so much here that's it pretty amazing to think about. If you're in the area and you want some food that won't break the bank, then this the spot for you!

REGARDING THE CRAWLEY STORE…read more.. Ok. I don't always believe in giving bad reviews unless really necessary.... but I'm EXTREMELY disappointed with this store. The customer services 9/10 is SHOCKING. To the point where I'm so angry thinking about it... I might actually write a letter to the big bosses. The cashiers do not engage with you 9/10... They hardly say hello, they race through scanning as if I'm taking up their time, they mumble the total... I had to LOOK at the screen because all I heard was 57. It was £10.57p. Just basically rudeness, unhelpful, and just no manners. They do not even say thank you! Or when they do, it's a mumble. I get more interaction and fun with the self service and that's saying something! I simply can't be dealing with that. It's a multimillion pound company, invest in better customer service and if you don't like your job that don't make it so obvious! I don't want to make best mates with the tesco staff everything I go in, but come on. Smile!!!! Acknowledge!!!!! The layout it extremely bad as well, you've got a aisle of fruit then veg, then fruit again, the veg. I don't know whether I'm coming or going. It's a joke. Rant ending....Never go unless your desperate... Or there's a zombie outbreak and this store is a safe place to hid.

Yes, it is cheap but there are so many things you just can't buy here. You end up going somewhere…read moreelse to finish your shopping. The offers are generally geared towards large families but they do have some good wine reductions if you search the small tickets on the shelves. They stock a bit of everything including electrical, household goods & clothes. Staff are friendly but are hard to find & not very knowledgeable. Checkouts are fast & good. You pay £1 for parking which is refundable at the tills.

Asda in Crawley !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! have real issues when it…read morecomes to click and collect as well as home delivery. Have a read at the points below and see how many you can relate to 1. it seems clear that their pickers have real difficulty reading and counting. When they are substitiuting items, it is never like for like. Keep an eye on this as you will lose any offers going, or they will give you less than what you originally asked for. I think the employment criteria needs to be improved, as it seems clear currently Asda only look to see if candidate have a pulse 2. Home Delivery, if they are late and do not meet the time slot you have been given, you never get notified that the driver will be late. 3. Home delivery drivers have stated that Asda has a rule to try and get 1 in 50 orders correct. Nice to see they have set the bar really low, as a customer you need not worry, majority of the time the orders will be wrong. 4. if you ever have the displeasure of speaking to the home shopping manager instore "Karan", she will give you the usual management brush off or just talk to you as though the customer is the idiot, then will go on with "they will ensure your order will be 100% checked before it goes out the door". This is something NOT to be believed, as my nine year old still managed to find errors in the order. 5. With the Click and Collect, this has been a real joke, when you pick up your delivery, note how many substitutions are made. When you ask why it is so bad, you will get the usual waffle from the staff,,,, " the picking is done at 0500 in the morning, so not everything is in", well if that is the case then should they not be changing this to improve the service. Either that or get the picker to open thier eyes, learn to read and count! 6. Everytime you speak to the persons that deliver your click and collect, they are always flustered, then you receive the comment thank god this is my last shift, as they are leaving Asda as they cant stand working there. 7. If you ever speak to some of the staff that are helpful, they even tell you the management is awful, they do not support their staff, as a result most of the staff will do the bare minimum when it comes to customer service. For those of you reading this and in Management roles in your jobs, you know it is a case of lead by example,,,,, clearly Asda Crawley managment do not. 8. A recent delivery from Asda was an hour past the delivery slot given, plus a load of incorrect substitutions, No appology for all the inconcenience, but when he was challenged, he just stated if you dont like the service the dont use Asda, you are better off shopping elsewhere. I guess if every one did that, Asda would be out of business, nice to see the staff really care where they work! 9. TOP TIP, if you are doing a click and collect and you end up with a lot of subs then get the person that has bought it to your car to go round the store and find what you want. if they dont, then leave your car in the click and collect space, and tell the person you will go into the store with them and find what you want, this way you are blocking the click and collect space, as well as hopefully getting what you really wanted, plus you dont pay for parking. I will state this will cause a delay for other customers, but if enough people do it, Asda might get the message and do something to improve their awful customer service. Stay tuned as I will aim to keep this thread going as further rubbish service is provided by Asda Crawley.

Have been shopping at this store on and off for 'years' (like lots of years). Decided this time (as…read moreI was doing a big Christmas shop) to stop and enjoy some breakfast before hand... Shopping while hungy is ALWAS a bad idea. The store itself literally has everything - it's huge, so if you can't find it here, then it probably doesn't exist. All went well... and the staff were exceptionally helpful. Some time later I had a full tummy and the car was loaded with everything we could possibly need / want (and probably more besides). There are sure to be lots of full tummy's in our house until mid January. Was an expensive shop and all in all I was there for about 3.5 hrs. Fast forward 5 days and the shop added a whacking great £85 parking charge to the bill. As there is no way to contact Eurocarparks directly (clearly the new owner) I contacted the Sainbury's store to see what could be done, since I was using several stores on the day and spent a lot of money with them. I've also been a loyal Sainsbuy's shopper all my life, with only the occassional venture into Waitrose or M&S. Their reaction was at best 'I understand your situation' - the reality was - they don't give a monkeys and said there was nothing they could do - all they gave me was a number for Eurocarparks - which turned out to be the 'automated' payment number. I will likely NEVER visit this store again, and would rather go elsewhere and pay & display in a public carpark. The whole concept of 'out of town' retail parks is now LOST in my opinion. Don;t get me wrong, the stores facilities and range of products is amazing - but the fundamental facility should be parking, especially when it's out of town. There is no option visible to extend a parking stay - so I see little point in ever revisiting, because if the queue to get through the checkouts is longer, what chance does anyone stand ?? I've had to pay the charge to 'make it go away', but the reality is I was robbed and Sainsbury's were complicit in that theft. More to the point they were not prepared to do anything about it either. Poor - very poor.
