I used the store on Saturday and again on Tuesday ( today ) around mid day . Two parking machines were out of order, there were no working trolleys outside the shop near the cash machines ( whole area really dirty and strewn with rubbish ) and despite the shop being crowded only two tills were open with an operator . On both occasions I spent a lot of money so queued rather than use self checkout . May go elsewhere in the future .

It does not stock an awful lot because of its size and popularity and if you go late at night, as I quite often do, quite often they have run out of things. But, Sainsbury's has a good quality of food in general and although you pay a bit more than some of the other big chains, you can usually trust that what you're getting is good stuff. I particularly the Taste the Difference and So Organic ranges. You pay for this store's popularity though because it is often crowded and quite often there are long queues at the till. They deserve as much recognition as the NHS staff, helping the public even though people have become rude to them at times and the work has become extremely intense and unsafe. The staff regularly talk to each other when they are meant to be serving you at the tills and seem disinterested. It has a handy kiosk near the entrance if you want to pop in to get a newspaper or lottery ticket but that really is the only good feature about this place. Fruit and veg is cheaper than anywhere else in the area but sometimes looks a little worse for wear. We also managed to purchase a bottled salad dressing that was a month out of date too! Luckily we noticed and took it back before we had eaten any. Our money was refunded. There is parking behind the store, but beware the chavs who use this as a social area!

Not a fan of the co-op down the road this is the best place to get produce, eggs, meat and just about most things you can think of to fill your fridge and cupboard. The upstairs even has large freezers with ice cream and baked goods, and more meat. The people are very friendly and everything is quite affordable. I am so happy to be able to support my local farmer. They'll soon be starting a delivery service as well!

The meat prices are extremely good especially for being so fresh and local, and the frozen meats are a super bargain! We bought some just-picked seasonal strawberries yesterday and they were amazingly delicious. We still need to get some things at a bigger store like some familiar national/international brands or particular varieties of groceries, but Radmore Farm Shop is definitely our new place to walk for fruit, veg, and meat. It's perfect for those "What are we going to have for dinner" afternoons because I can grab meat, onions, mushrooms, and whatever veg suits and cook something up fast. I went there recently and they have reduced all their xmas gifts so its possibly wise to start a small part of your shopping now. They have a small kitchenware department and stationary, garden and kids. They have a cafe situated inside the store but the food is not too good and you can often wait a long time to be served or your food to be delivered.

They stock some of the less popular magazines etc and their baking section is excellent. The check out process also seems to be a lot more efficient now too. It is very handy to be able to pop in if you are in town.

Open 24 hours a day Mon - Sat and open on Sunday. If you love Tescos this is well laid out, bright and carries all stock ranges. There is now an ordering point for Tesco Direct and a new cafe run by Costa Coffee. Parking is a bit of a mare as it is always busy. Allow a bit of a walk. On site petrol station.
