Open until 11 seven nights a week, this place isn't as interesting as the corner shop next door, but it has a reliable selection of standard ingredients that get the job done for a quick meal or late nihht snack. All the staples. read more

Simple items to look for and bounce out. Gave it 5 stars. Nice and clean and next to the Tube. There are 2 other stores nearby if you need meats and a deli or frozen options. This place is great for snacks and liquids. No where as busy as the other 2 stores there. Check the photos out.

Short and sweet review incoming…read more Saintbury's of a local supermarket chain and will likely get you what you need whether food, supplies, toiletry, etc, they will have it. I had visited several locations while in London and they are all laid out roughly the same, making it easy to find what you need. They are slightly cheaper than posh smaller markets, but it is a standard chain grocery store, so quality is a little less for meat, fruit, veggies, etc. There are quite a few around London and its outskirts, so never had an issue while visiting, which is great. All and all, I overall was quite happy with my visits.
Geo Watkins Mushroom Ketchup...Aloha (I bought the only two bottles).
Entrance, just opposite Holborn station
As an American, going to a new grocery store in the UK was so fun!…read more I loved seeing all of the different snacks, treats, and groceries. These juices below are so delicious! I bought like 6 just for my trip to have something to drink. My second favorite thing was the Battenberg cakes. I'm a huge fan of the Great British Baking Show, and to be able to see these all around, I was so happy!

The store is facing…read moreTrafalgar Square and is tiny and looks like somebody just pull stuff out of the cupboard to sell there. There are random boxes strewn about the store and the security guard watches everybody like they're stealing something. I was visiting from USA so I just wanted to find some "British" treats to take home... Chocolates, chips, stuff like that... They had a decent variety of those types of things but otherwise this would be a store if you were in a pinch and needed a quick snack and that's about it. There's an M & S store right around the corner at the entrance to the train station that's much cleaner and nicer and has more options plus the same thing.

I am aware as I live nearby and have seen this happen over many months. They lie and say machine isn't working (even when it does as I've used the machine). They tell parcel owners to go elsewhere to drop off packages as they refuse to accept. They likely pocket a monthly fee for pretending to accept EVRI packages, so this is fraudulent behavior.
Thank you Crispins for saving halloween! This is one of the few stores in all of London that sells…read morecandy corn. From the outside Crispins looks like your typical 24 hour corner shop. But there is more to this shop than it's handy location (near Chinatown on Shaftesbury Avenue). Check-out their window displays...this is pop-tart central! For a tiny shop, Crispins has a ridiculously large selection of treats imported from the US (pop-tarts, brownie mixes, pancake mixes, runts, mini reese's peanut butter cups and yes Brach's candy corn). Candy corn is not so easy to come by in London, so the fact that they have some and at a semi-reasonable price ( £1.99/bag), this shop is clearly 4 stars in my book.

Super unkept...I'll even say beyond dirty...awww heyall; this is the NASTIEST "convenience store" I've ever entered. It's located across from the Russell Square tube station. Items were all over the place, yet out of place. Chips on the floor, soda bottle on top of cheese, hair care products in the cooler, caked up residue all over the floor, checkout lanes where a mess...customer service was even grotesque. To be honest by the time I made it this far to purchase a bottled water I didn't expect much more. Yes, they carry grocery, personal hygiene, alcohol, dairy, fruits, snacks, Krispy Kreme donuts and other items you may need during travels. I'll pass....forever, ever, ever! ~Christy
A Godsend to so many drunkard Londoners trying to get home from Trafalgar Square and Charing Cross…read moreit is almost untrue. Open 24hours they are a convenience store slightly on the pricier side because they can get away with it. If you time it right, you can catch a fair amount of food reduced after lunch, for example a hot beef baguette down to a pound, making this the unbeatable of cheap eats for a work lunch collection. Compared to America, everything in the store was very well-priced and I was elated to find an entire gluten free aisle to shop from. I literally was a kid in a (GF) candy store haha. The image is from a slight afternoon haul where I was craving some snacks. The GF bread had many nutritious seeds and came in handy throughout my stay. I have been missing the GF jam tarts and Bakewells every day and cannot wait to indulge once I return to the UK. It was so hard to believe that the baked goods were not only GF but were also milk free! Although Sainsbury's is a convenience store, it still deserves the praise on here for any future shoppers from near or far.
