As the only 24 hour a day Tesco in the area (and being a local resident), I am already well well aware that this particular store have the well deserved worst reviews of any branch of Tesco in the UK, and am willing to forgive the fact that the staff are the rudest people I have ever encountered in a retail environment, but as I prefer to shop at around 10:30 pm, around the time of the day's final reductions, but just in time to join the queue of back-packing foreign youth trying to purchase liquor in the last few moments before the shutter come down, I have grown accustomed to their version of customer service.
Bad manners, poor service and downright rudeness are all to be expected if you visit the Russell Square branch after 10pm, but tonight they really took the biscuit, and managed to to dissapoint even me (and I have very low expectations...)
Receipts are indeed a nuissance, and usually I can't be arsed with them, but as I topped up my mobile credit card, I thought that there was nothing to prove a penny had been added to my account without one, so as I was packing my own bag (by which time the gent was scanning the next persons stuff), I asked for one, only to be told that he was dealing with somebody else now, and if I had wanted a receipt, it was now too late to ask for one !!!
What a fu**ing Liberty.....I wasn't in the mood to argue, so just posted this instead, and hope for the best regarding the credit that I can only hope was added to my mobile.
Well done Tesco's.... *Every little Help's*, and your Russell Square team certainly manage to ensure that the millions you spend annually on self-publicity is effectively flushed down the toilet. read more
