Due to it's location in Calais this place is popular amongst people who want to get alcohol at a cheaper price than in the UK. Many of the staff speak English well enough to help you if you don't speak much French, and are most polite about it, (I once had someone try to insult me there in English, so I responded by insulting him in French, then he showed me what I was looking for, so it could be a sport there, heh).

Using my sat nav just to try find a grocery shop and I passed budgens and as I was trying to find a safe place to turn around I happen to find Tesco which to my delight had a big car park which was sign posted very well! So I got a great spot next to the entrance and at first grabbed a basket as I knew this was a small store but just going down one aisle I then decided I needed a trolley as there was more items you can get through this store! I ended up doing my whole weekend shopping which was great for me as I didn't have to venture anywhere else and the queues for the till was very short and staff were very friendly!

Parked and left within 2 hours as per photo's from Horizon and I had validated ticket by inputing code and machine confirmed validation. I have been sent fine. What a scam. Can't contact Tesco or branch direct only online shopping, ticket fine issued the 6th Oct Sept and didnt receive until today the 13th Oct, parked 26th Sept, which doesnt give me long to pay their false demand / scam. I feel scammed. What if I had gone on holiday? How is it fair you just get a week to pay something which has been unfairly issued before its increased. This cant be legal, surely? It seems like they have found a way to extort money from people with a loophole and tactics to make you feel under time pressure to pay for fear of it increasing. Surely if it shows I parked under 2 hours and prove I made transaction in store over £5.00 within time parked then what am I being fined for?

It isnt the biggest Tesco store in the world, but it does offer services such as a cafe, and photo processing, and ATM, so it is a really useful resource. This store is perfect for buying the odd forgotten item, and equally a whole weeks worth of shopping if you do not want to buy non-food items available in an 'Extra' store- for that you would be better off visiting Tesco Whitstable down the road.

On Thursday the 28th December I purchased a reduced pack of prawns and salmon with a sun dried tomato mousse, served in little oyster shells. From that momentary lack of judgment I have been in bed for 2 1/2 days, partly spent staring down the shinny brilliant white inner sanctum to the dogs of war playing field!!! They have the second room to the back for permanent bargain stuff or those left off from preveous deals and you can go through a fine selection of some very cheap items. staff are really friendly too.
