Using my sat nav just to try find a grocery shop and I passed budgens and as I was trying to find a safe place to turn around I happen to find Tesco which to my delight had a big car park which was sign posted very well! So I got a great spot next to the entrance and at first grabbed a basket as I knew this was a small store but just going down one aisle I then decided I needed a trolley as there was more items you can get through this store! I ended up doing my whole weekend shopping which was great for me as I didn't have to venture anywhere else and the queues for the till was very short and staff were very friendly!

The only drawback is that this branch of Sainsbury's gets very busy. There really is nothing like listening to kids screaming, waiting for the old biddy who's in your way to choose the cheapest tuna, then for some lout to ram a trolley into your achilles heel. What was meant to be a 10-20 minute visit, lasted almost an hour. The store is huge, the layout is well spaced out and labelled. Even though the aisles are long, the categories are clearly marked and you can choose which aisles to walk along and which to skip. The range of products is amazing. Plenty of options for "exotic" foods - Indian masalas, ramens, Korean spice pastes etc. I finally found Fanta lemon that I've been searching for since I got introduced to it 2 months ago in Toledo (I actually thought it may not be available in the U.K.) Love this store, it's much larger & roomier than any other Sainsbury I've been to in London.

And is it cheap! You'll find lots of interesting foodstuffs for around half the price you'll find them at the nearest high street grocery store. Deepak is also a spice haven: their spice section extends along two lengthy aisles. They're also really good for cheap fresh fruit and vegetables, though if there is one thing they fall a little short on it's their selection of fresh meat. Tesco clothes are amazing. The choice is huge and they are great value. There is usually always a sale on as well. The Value range is cheap and reasonable value, I have yet to find something in that range that didnt taste every bit as good as the dearer range. They have an opticians, pharmacy, photolab, kiosk and all their departments. Its easy to navigate and the staff are always helpful.

Be prepared for overpriced food, highly-variable (and unpredictable) hours, and the company of people wearing suits. 2. This place. It's not the best Tesco Express I've seen. They have a rather small selection of ready-to-go meals, and I think they only get one delivery of pastries per day. But they're open early, they're open late, and their prices are good, in spite of being the only food option for the numerous hotels and upscale residential developments that have gone up nearby. Go Tesco!
