My worst experience ..!! one of their drivers took from me $36 to take me from 1753 Albion Rd to Kipling Subway Station, is it that long to cost me that much? Absolutly not but he chose another way to take more money instead of using GPS which was next to him. He also passed two highways. The worst is that when I said Hello to him, he just ignored me and kept silent. This is too rude. I complained to him but he said nothing just took his money. For my sick son that was with me I didn't fight more with him and just gave him the money. This is my first time to use this company and my last for sure. read more

Ordered a co op cab from downtown Brampton to the Airport - choked on the $41.00 fee but I had a 5am start and did not want to wake my hosts. Choked even harder when I got my Credit Card Bill for $140.00!!!! Of course it was too late to dispute the charge. This is the second time I have been ripped off by a cab company in this way. Terrible. I downloaded the app, since I was trying to support cabs instead of Uber's. I've used the app 3 times now. The first time the cab arrived at my door in about 2 minutes and he was annoyed with me for making him wait for a few minutes while I finished getting ready, as I wasn't expecting him to arrive so fast. The 2nd cab- the cab arrived 20 minutes after I ordered it- I even had to call the cab company after waiting 15 minutes and they assured me it was on its way. Also this cab driver had no idea how to get to my destination, and I had to lead him there. And we were late. Third time- I was going to a doctors appointment with my 3 kids so I requested a minivan. After waiting for 10 minutes, the app still said it was "looking for a driver". So I cancelled that and ordered a sedan. The sedan said it would arrive in 6 minutes, but 6 minutes later it still said it would arrive in 6 minutes. I called the company and they said the driver wasn't responsive. They tried to find another cab for me, but none were available so I was basically out of luck. In total, I had spent 30 minutes on waiting for a cab, and I had to end up canceling our doctors appointment since it would be impossible to get there in time. Good job Co-op. I have no choice but to use Uber going forward. read more

I would give this 0 stars if it was a possibility. First I called to hire a car to deliver an envelope and I was quoted a flat rate of $10 - the driver calls me and says Charles Street East is closed for construction and I say oh sorry I didn't know but the back entrance is one street over on Hayden I can meet you there instead. He then arrives like 10 minutes later (literally around the corner) and he tells me he is charging me $15 because he had to go around the block - I say I don't think that is his call and he tells me to call Co-Op so as I'm waiting on the phone to talk to someone he takes off - I h speak to someone and he transfers me to a manager which goes to voicemail - I was pissed and stupidly didn't leave a call back number just the scenario - I call again the main number and the guy tells me it will be $15 dollars and the original person I spoke to was wrong but by his point the person I am trying to send an envelope to is in a meeting so can't pick it up. I cancel and I called back when he was out of the meeting, this time the lady on the phone tells me it will be $20. Obviously there is some disconnect here if everyone is giving me different prices. We took a taxi from our hotel to a wedding venue on September 9th. My daughter left her $600 pair of sunglasses in the rear seat of the van. We tried to stop him as he pulled away. We called the cab company to file a lost report. The next day, when leaving the Roger's Centre from the Blue Jays game we spotted the driver and the van. I approached him and asked if he had found the sunglasses - he said he hadn't been our driver as he always recognized his clients (4 adults with a baby - like really) and he hadn't driven us anywhere. He said look in the taxi if you like but they aren't there. I did look. We all recognized him but he was adamant he hadn't seen us or the glasses. His demeanor spoke volumes - Too bad that he didn't do the right thing. When I phoned again to see if they were turned in the company said no - not surprising. read more

Its probably because there are so many co-op that the average experience is so low. Yet when I take any other cab - I get a polite driver, timely service. Every time I take coop its either: they are late, the driver speaks no english and starts engaging in an unnecessary conversations, dangerous driving, they tip themselves by giving dollar short change. read more

Worst cab company, drivers are rude, drive recklessly, cut people off and generally justify why Uber is around. Use Uber or one of the good cab companies before you get in one of co-ops pieces of junk. read more

I have used Co-op Cabs many times and have always been impressed by the drivers' courtesy and helpfulness. Yesterday I suffered a flat tire on my bike ride to work. While I had everything on me (including a "new" tube with a hole!) to replace the flat, my rubber cement was in my other bag. Great! I called up Co-op and the driver was there promptly (less than 10 minutes during rush hour). The driver helped me load my bike into the trunk, even after I warned him that the bike was dirty and that I could do it. The driver was not familiar with my office, which is in North York, so I suggested a route. I appreciated his honesty. Upon arriving at my office, the driver then helped unload my bike from his cab. I would say that Co-op drivers regularly go beyond what is required; I recommend Co-op over other cab companies. read more

This isn't the first time I have had an issue with this cab company but I have resolved to make it my last and will now be using an alternate company. Called a cab today from the supermarket and got a very surly dispatcher on the other end of the line. After giving him my location, name etc. he told me the cab would be there in about ten minutes. Waited at least 15 minutes, no cab. Called back and asked if my cab was on it's way and was told they had no record of me calling! Despite the fact that I have called many times from this supermarket location, No Frills at Lawrence Avenue East and Morningside, I was told he could not send a cab unless I gave an exact street address. I have never had to do this before as the No Frills supermarket is huge and can't be missed from the intersection. I said I didn't have the exact address and he told me to look it up on my grocery receipt (seriously !!!) my grocery receipt did not have a street address on it only a store code. He put me on hold and just left me on hold. Needless to say after being on hold for a further five to 10 minutes I called another cab company and will never do business with co-op cabs again. This is too bad for them as I am not a driver and take cabs everywhere and spend a lot of money on cabs. This dispatcher was taking great pleasure in playing games with me, which I did not appreciate. I have called cabs from that supermarket many, many times and was never asked for a street number. I am a senior and partially disabled and I waited out in the heat for almost an hour before finally getting this resolved by calling another taxi. Hi, I ordered a cab from A Black Cab company today after speaking with a lady on the phone. I had asked if I could do a flat rate and have a driver pick up my pair of jeans from Harry Rosen at Heartland in Mississauga and deliver them to my home address in Brampton. The company told me they could do a flat rate of $30. I called back again 5 minutes later to confirm this $30 flat rate when the cab driver asked for my address (which I thought was strange since dispatch should have given him my address) and was told it would be no problem. When the driver arrived at my house he told me I owed him $46 (not $30). I told him I had negotiated a flat rate with A Black Cab and he said no that's not possible. When I called back to dispatch a different individual (Punjabi accent man) had answered the phone and was giving me a hard time as well. I eventually ended up paying the driver $35 (Instead of the $30 flat rate that was promised to me). I still had to pay an extra $5 out of pocket and deal with this incompetent dispatch and driver who don't follow their word and the word of the company. I will never use A Black Cab company again and furthermore I will let my friends and everyone else know of my experience. read more

I had a cab booked in advance for an important vet appointment that I could not miss, and could be charged for missing, and which was very significant for the health of my pet. They never showed up! I just sat there with my pet in distress. When I called dispatch, they sent me to voice mail. As I was not sure whether one was coming or not, I used another company. read more

I wanted to email the taxi company directly but couldn't figure out how. I don't drive and i work late night shifts sometimes finishing as late as 1 am, at that time of night the last thing i want to do or feel safe to do is walk home even though i live just a 20 minute walk, so every night i get a taxi and every time i politely ask the taxi driver if they could take me. they mumble under their breath, say dammit!, or i always get the shit jobs! roll their eyes or just refuse to answer me back because its just a short trip but that is there job! i work in hospitality if i got angry at a customer for just buying a drink instead of a meal id be out a job! maybe they wont be getting much money from taking me such a short distance but its there job! and customer service is everything! .. i hate that i feel so awkward to ask a taxi driver to take me home when its late at night i hope they read this and talk to their staff about their attitude. read more

NEVER use this cab company, especially a cab driver named SAM. We took it home one night from a birthday party. First off- they charge $10 extra for a van, whereas beck only charges around $5 extra. Secondly, our one friend was not feeling so well, so the cab driver pulled over so he could throw up on the side of the road. The cab driver then gave him a plastic bag and told him it's a $50 charge for cleaning if he throws up in the vehicle (the only thing corteous about this cab driver). Then when we dropped off our sick friend on the way to our own home, the cab driver immediately got out of the cab and pointed to salt and snow marks on the edge of his vehicle saying that It was our friend that puked on it and that we would have to pay the $50. He was very rude about the whole thing and kept the meter running while arguing with us. We decided to pay to shut him up and asked him his name and license number, and then he started shouting at us saying that we should go ahead and call the police on him. I told him I just wanted to report him. We decided to take another cab company the rest of the way home. Very rude service. Never again. read more

On September 7th (2015), I had a special event that started at 6pm. I called a Co-op taxi at 5:05 and was told "10 minutes". Even though the destination was only 15/20 minutes away, I'd called early because I DIDN'T want to be late. (I would have simply hailed one on the street, but I was escorting my elderly mother who couldn't make the walk down there.) Anyway, no cab by 5:15 ... 5:20 ... 5:25 ... so I called again. "Your taxi is 5 minutes away" said the dispatcher. So, we waited ... and waited ... and at 5:35 I called again. "Your taxi is three minutes away". At 5:40, I called Beck taxi to hedge my bets and it came WITHIN 5 MINUTES. Not only that, but the driver (Gabriel, car 1394) was extremely polite and professional, and he got us there in less than 15 minutes. As we were rolling up to our destination, guess who called?? The coop taxi driver (!) almost 50 minutes after I'd placed the call demanding to know where we were! I will NEVER, EVER use co-op again. From now on, it's Beck, and ONLY BECK! read more

So usually this is my go to for a cab the drivers are awesome most the time minus when they try to detour me and I still tip them every single time. I'm a regular I take this cab every day , more than once a day I'm just annoyed with this bitch who always answers the phones and has so much attitude she works in costumer service she should be presentable and not hang up on her customers saying "buh bye" before I can even give her a alternate phone number since I'm calling from magic j. Not to mention the second time I called the guy who answered was nice and gave me tims to give my alternate number but my cab when it says it arrived goes drives past my house I had to walk to another house it parked at right when I'm behind it . It drives away ... This is the second time it didn't even wait a minute I never have complained even when some Pervy drivers had grabbed my number off the screen and texted me after or asked for hugs and such so for now on you just lost a regular Your good service went down with some of these employees you have . read more
