Fairly reasonable prices for a convenience store, and certainly cheaper than driving into the nearest town. Friendly and knowledgable staff - they should be able to find what ever you want in their aladdins cave!

There is a large choice of things OK not as much as in the big stores but still a lot here. The best bit about this store is that as well as a normal till it has the self service checkout too, and each time I have been there has been a big queue for the till and no one at the self serve. They all seem to nervous to use it, so I can just jump right in there and get it done fast, while people are still deciding to use it or not. Although if you buy booze or cigarettes you have to wait for the sales assistant to become free to accept it on your till, meaning sometimes you are waiting longer this way.

I say handy because there's also a Budgens, but when…read moreI was looking for moisturising cream in there they didn't have any but Tesco did : ) There are two of those self-service checkouts, although the first time I came here I was a tiny bit drunk and didn't see them, and waited for ages for the one cashier dude to serve a much-drunker-than-me person, and then got all embarrassed when they pointed out I needn't have waited. Similar layout to other Tesco Expresses, and much tider than my local one in Leeds, and they sell donuts. Loves it.
