Then they text me about the back door not being able to shut and leaving ONE bag of ice in the freezer. Now be for real, fixing a door and leaving a bag of ice is not worth $500. We came to the agreement of them giving me my $250 back for the refund and then come to say 2 days later she decides to send me pictures of the restroom from "my so call event day" after we had already agreed on getting my deposit back. Now she tried to tell me if I deserved to get my deposit back when clearly in there contract it does not say I had to clean and scrub their bathrooms. I told them to give send me the pictures with the dates and she did not. Now I am not the only person who has gone through this and read everyone's review before mine. Save yourself a headache from them and your MONEY! Don't make the mistake we did and not listen to our friends when they told us that they were already known for never refunding anyone's deposits.! Unfortunately, the food quality was extremely disappointing and well below even basic banquet standards. We were greeted with room-temperature water (no ice) and bowls of wilted lettuce that had clearly been sitting out for too long. The main course included a plain, boiled chicken breast--completely unseasoned and stark white in appearance. The green beans tasted like they came straight from a can and were also unseasoned--no butter, garlic, or anything to improve their flavor. The only redeeming item was the lasagna, which was actually quite good and the only part of the meal I finished. I work in the restaurant industry, and I'm not someone who complains easily. But this meal was unacceptable. For an event honoring student-athletes and their families, more care and attention to quality should have been given. I wasn't expecting gourmet dining, but serving 700 guests such poorly prepared food sends a message: if they don't put in the effort for a high-profile banquet like this, I would seriously reconsider trusting them with a once-in-a-lifetime event like a wedding.

Event Source fulfills some kind of strange, sick need within my soul…read more I'm one of those people who daydreams about setting tables. Weird but true! In Event Source, I can play with the table settings to my heart's content. Whenever I have cause to be in here, I literally look at the options and try to dream up events where I can employ my fantasies. Those are some pretty strong feelings about tablecloths, eh?! Tablecloths, napkins, flatware, china, serving pieces, chairs, tables, the list goes on and on. You'd be really surprised what you can rent for your event! And boy, do I. For our wedding, I liked the linens that came with the venue, but we punched up the tables by adding a different napkin and a table runner. For the more "VIP" tables we changed out the tablecloth and napkin, and added chargers. Doing the whole room would've been a little too spendy, but with Event Source, we could very effectively make our wedding look above-ordinary. I also used Event Source when I hosted Thanksgiving for 22 people at my house. I ordered all the china (I have some nice china, but man, who has 22 place settings?), which was super fun because of course I went with something I wouldn't have BOUGHT in that kind of quantity. Gold filigree for everyone! (Also, bread plates, gold handled flatware, gold rimmed water goblet and wine glass.) Napkins and tablecloths, too. A plate is, like, less than $2 to rent. Totally worth it. The best part -- didn't have to wash dishes! Yep, ES asks that you return them "dirty" (we rinsed at least). Same goes for linens. Just put 'em in the provided laundry bags. Do you know how long it would've taken me to launder and iron all those table linens?! It may have never gotten done. You can rent things in sets of 10 (some other items may have different quantities... Ask!). Think beyond the wedding. ES is a lifesaver (and a dreamscape) for other events as well! Customer service is top notch. Next time you're headed to ES, can I come?
