They have all the typical items curry, jerk, oxtail etc. I decided to go with the oxtail with white rice. It was amazing. There was a decent amount of meat & plenty of sauce to complement it & have with the rice. I also had a piece of their rum cake. Unfortunately I ate it before I could capture it but it was very moist & you could definitely taste the rum in it. My next trip to Germany will definitely include a stop here.

It came with bread, an array of cheeses, peppers, artichoke hearts, grilled zucchini, grilled eggplant, salami, and tomato mozzarella all surrounded with a delicious drizzle of balsamic glaze. My husband ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara and I had the Tagliolini al Pesto Genovese. Both dishes were exceptional! The carbonara was very creamy, warm, and had the perfect amount of ham. The pesto was delicious. I usually encounter pestos that are too oily, borderline greasy but this was PERFECT. It had the most fresh basil flavor and you could taste that they use quality cheese. We finished off our meal with a shot of amaretto and slice of tiramisu...also delicious! Food was so good we might return tomorrow night! Best Italian we have eaten in this area thus far!

There aren't too many restaurants in the area to begin with, since Eschenbach is pretty small. As an American staying at a nearby hotel, they saved me many times because they are open late & everyday...and their food is cheap & portion plentiful! (At least for me) I do like their seasoning of meat & condiments, better than one place I went in Grafenwöhr & another in Bayreuth (though I knew the one in Bayreuth wasn't the best one when I went). Like someone else said, it can get a bit saucey, so be careful if you have to eat in your car.

I much rather have a limited selection of good food, than a large selection of mediocre dishes. I enjoyed some sort of beef roast and my friends each had a Schaeufele (pork shoulder roast with some pork rind still attached and crispy). The accompanying salads and potato dumplings were equally delicious. A nice beer selection as you would expect in this part of the country. Service was very friendly and extremely fast. The interior is nothing special though. So don't take anybody here for a romantic date.
