Co still has a few kinks to work out but all in all, we enjoyed our meal and service. We started with the pork gyoza... They took almost 40 minutes to come out and when they finally made it to the table were ice cold. Our waiter redeemed the situation to the best of his ability, apologizing for the delay, explaining the kitchen was backed up, etc. Our mains came out quickly after the appetizer, thank goodness. We shared the pressed spicy tuna sushi and green papaya salad. The sushi was slightly overpriced IMO but good -- not the best I've ever had but flavorful and fresh. The salad was the surprising winner of the night! The crunchy texture and vibrant flavors all really combined well for a solid dish and reasonably priced at $11. I'll be back over and over again for this one! Knowing we were on a time crunch (trying to make a movie at the theatre across the shopping center), our waiter brought our check with our entree which was appreciated. He even made some pleasant small talk about what we were seeing and other films showing. I wish I could remember his name because he really made the night for us. read more

Ok so Candyce B sold me on this place! At first I thought it was all about healthy eating and still being hungry afterwards BUT this wasn't that kind of place! I felt like a kid entering Discovery Place... the inside is wonderfully designed. From the abstract art center piece to the modern colors... you forget for a moment that this place is nestled within a shopping center. For all new visitors, order the Shanghai Chicken Wontons... you will be pleased! I have already planned to order the dumplings on my return visit because the wontons were prepared so well! As far as the main course goes... it was filling and SPICY! I get discouraged sometimes when I order spicy food at other places and end up having to ask for hot sauce, but the spicy food here was all this country girl could ask for. I ordered the Curry Laksa and it made this chica cough and grab a sip of water. Now, let's be clear, I didn't cough because it was too spicy... lol it was solely because I was expecting there not to be enough curry spice and had already made up in my mind that I would reaching for the hot sauce to turn it up a notch. I'm technically still eating and completing this review so know that I will be returning! Thanks CO for bringing a new spin to the Park Road area! read more

Staff was very nice. I went during lunch and sat at the bar. I had a Dark & Peach and a Pork Belly Banh Mi. I enjoyed my lunch and the solitude (sometimes bartenders and servers feel bad for lone-diners and try to chat me up - but I like the solitude. The Banh Mi was good. The drink was delicious and I'll def come back to try the sushi. read more

I thought the food was ok. Crab rangoon is one of my favorite appetizers but their style I didn't care for. I have had way better sushi at other restaurants. It wasn't bad but wasn't anything special. Their pork belly buns were really good so that's the only one I'd recommend. Probably won't be returning. read more

Stopped in Friday night, still during the pandemic figured we wouldn't get a seat and low and behold SCORE after a brief 10 minute wait. Looking for good sushi north of the border. And the verdict is......good sushi. Not the best sushi but it fit the bill and it was a step up from the cut rate joints offering BOGO. Sweetie and I had 3 rolls between the 2 of us. The Bang Bang Shrimp roll was good, nice crispy banging shrimp. Thai Salmon roll, with salmon flakes instead of real salmon was disappointing and my roll with the torched shrimp was tasty. Rolls were a little small for the money and the service was overworked and it showed. I appreciate them being open and the servers coming to work so not much more to say. read more

I've been here twice, and both times have left me unenthused. I really did give it a shot. CO is really pretty, but has no substance. The food is boring and mediocre at best. The prices reflect the upscale facade. The first time I came I got pho, and the second time I got ramen. Both times the meal left me wanting more in terms of flavor. It's not like it's bland, it's just not worth remembering. It lacked the depth of flavor you can expect at other ramen places around Charlotte. It was comparable to a slightly higher end instant ramen. The one thing I can give it is that the service was great both times. Great service doesn't make up for the uninspired eats though. If you're looking for a good Asian place, my advice would be to pass this one up. read more

I decided spontaneously to try this place on my birthday, a February Monday night. Typically, I have seen the place packed and people waiting forever for a table, but surprisingly we were very quickly seated for not having had a reservation. I was craving a Poke Bowl, and CO has many diverse options, allowing me to get a Poke Bowl but also having options like sandwiches and noodles and rice bowls as well. But the biggest thing was... the service! Uncomparable. My friend and I were catching up, and totally oblivious to the "long wait" that our waitress told us we were having. The restaurant manager ended up covering our entire meal, AND giving us a free birthday dessert because WE apparently had treated his employee "so well"... (talk about a generous restaurant manager whom really cares about his team!) The waitress later shared that she had had a pretty rough night... almost all the customers were acting entitled, being rude to her, calling her a "b*tch" because their food wasn't coming out fast enough. I was shocked to hear that this was the norm in the Park Roads area... and that how my friend and I acted--with patience and understanding and smiles--was actually very rare. Ultimately, I have never forgotten their generosity that night, and they have inspired me to remember to be kind at all times, you never know what the circumstances really are. And, that God always has an interesting way to show you he loves you. (Earthly Father wasn't able to treat me to a meal... but my Heavenly Father did!) read more

CO - strawberry nutella spring rolls... everything I love! It was DELICIOUS - Vietnamese Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Food is consistent and the vibe is casual. You can hang out or take someone to dinner.

The food was absolutely amazing! I had 3 sushi rolls and the Vietnamese Limeade. The only issue I had was the insanely long wait for each order. The first 2 rolls took almost 20 minutes to come out. All the while I watched people order and eat before I recieved my order. The manger did come by to apologize which was helpful and nice. After I ate the 1st 2 I ordered a 3rd one which also took 15-20 minutes to arrive. Again they came and apologized but at that point I had been there for almost an hour. Again the food was well above par but the wait times were just too much to make this a go-to spot read more

This is such a cool little spot. I went for happy hour one day after work with some of my co workers and our case management clients. I like how they have different drink and food specials each day of the week. The specials usually run from about 5-7pm I believe. We ordered some chicken wings, which were good! We also have sushi and some kind of spring rolls . The drinks were also good. I'll definitely go back when I have time. read more

I'm giving this a 4 because I've only been once, but I'm really looking forward to going back. I'm definitely a fan. The inside is SO gorgeous with the bar in the middle and the artwork on the walls, it's so appealing when you first walk in. We had a short wait, but the hostess was friendly and once they cleared the table we were sat relatively quickly. I ordered the Thai Green Curry after discussing a couple options with my waitress, she was super helpful. At first I was put off by the price...and then I saw the MASSIVE portion. This was two meals, you could definitely split with someone. It was so yummy. The broth was thick and spicy without being overbearing. The rice was perfectly cooked. I had tofu in mine and it was also cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Others at my table ordered sushi, pad thai and rice bowls that all looked fantastic--we all left completely satisfied. read more

Co is our favorite go to for girls night. Sushi is always delicious and the servers are fantastic.

Sushi was delicious! The service was fast and very pleasant. We sat outside on the patio and with great weather it is the perfect spot.

I really loved this place! We came in on a Friday around 7pm and did not have to wait. We were seated at a high table, and greeted by our waitress Heather. She was very attentive and provided great service! She made sure my hubs water was always full & asked if we were okay! The ambiance is awesome, they lower the lighting at a certain time for a more romantic feel. Food was super filling and the rolls were delicious. The spicy udon hit the spot & I even had enough for leftovers, he also loved the rice bowl! Everyone wore masks and distance seemed to be enforced for COVID. We live on the opposite side of town & I would definitely take this 30 minute ride again! read more

I haven't been here in at least 3-4 years. They've redecorated and I have to admit, I don't like it much. It used to be a posh-looking restaurant. Now it looks like an urban bar, with bare concrete floors and brick wall. Just so happens that their heat went out the night before and it was only 47 degrees outside so this place was really cold, but we didn't find out why until we had already ordered. Initially, we thought it was because our table was near the door. Our waiter was really nice. However, our order seemed to take a really long time and not sure why. My husband got the yellow curry shrimp off the appetizer menu for lunch. It came with 6 shrimp and a soupy curry sauce to dip the toasted bread in. Personally, I thought the curry sauce had a bit too much salt. I got the green curry chicken ($16). It was very good. I would have given this place 4 stars if it had heat and a normal wait time for our order. Lol read more

Tried CO for the first time in Charlotte for Sunday early dinner. Ordered Salmon Carpaccio, Pork Goyza and Vietnamese Curry Noodles. Everything was delicious and was served fresh out of the kitchen. Nothing to complain about with the food. Our server was friendly and prompt. Interior was unique looking and had a good vibe going. Cool music. Wished the exterior dining area was open. For some reason it was closed the day we went. I did take a star off for the ladies room. It could have passed for a gas station restroom. read more

We have ordered take out from CO recently and I would say it is a solid 4-stars, but they are getting 5 from me because of their VERY friendly gluten-free practices. I have ordered a few noodle dishes here that denote fully GF as well as sushi and have been impressed each time. Hubby ordered ramen once (which was to-go) and he didn't do that the second time - it comes deconstructed and just isn't the same at all. But he really enjoyed his other beef and noodle dish. They do a great job and also offer curbside pickup! read more

Solid place. Two words: curry laksa. I love all the Asian options they have! From curry, to sushi, to poke bowls, to Vietnamese, to Banh Mi, to Thai food, etc. They have something for everyone! Tuesdays and Thursdays they have half price sushi! Also, half price sake! Their sake infusions are made in house and they are delicious. Blackberry, pineapple, cucumber, and lychee/lemongrass. Their cocktails are actually quite good as well. A bit more expensive than I think they should be though. They also have happy hour food each day. They are small bites, which can be a nice compliment to other dishes. The curry laksa is their signature menu item. I can't get away from ordering it because it is so delicious! The portion is also huge, so I always get two meals out of it. Everyone at the table tried mine and wished they had gotten it, too. Service is a bit slow, but they are kind. Like I said, solid option. Maybe not the best Asian food I've ever had, but I will be back again and again for half price sushi and the curry laksa. read more

I am so sorry to write this as I have enjoyed many great meals at CO. But last night brought you down to a 3 star instead of 5. It was not the food or the service, but the fact that the restaurant was not clean. When we walked to our table our feet stuck to the floor, as if a sugary drink had been spilled and not mopped up. I thought that this was just in our area, but when walking to the restroom the stickiness was throughout the restaurant. The paper menus we were given were also dirty. Service was fine, and the food was OK, but the impresssion of a dirty restaurant is offputting. read more

Atmosphere here is really nice. This would be a great first date spot. The music isn't loud and ambiance is very relaxed but upscale. Their menu selection is huge and it was difficult to narrow down what we wanted to order because everything sounded good. My boyfriend went with his classic order: pad Thai and I ordered the pressed spicy tuna sushi and the firecracker sushi. While everything was delicious I would say the food we ordered was average. But I will be back to try out their drink menu and other entrees that caught my eye! read more

2 stars because I know they have good food but I haven't been back since we were turned away for one of us not having a mask and they wouldn't give us one (and this was definitely past the mandate). My husband left his at home & I normally have an extra one in my bag but forgot it at work so we asked if we could have one of theirs & they literally said "no." Lol I'm sure they even had some extras too behind the counter but they said we couldn't eat there since one of us didn't have one and it was a little bit ridiculous. read more

Pad Thai is nice. Just manage your expectations for the weekends. A pad Thai takeout could take up to 45 mins if you walk in to order to go. I love this place! First of all, I'm a huge fan of Asian cuisine, so the different Asian fusions they have on their menu are so intriguing. On this visit, my friends and I met up to join Co in their 3rd year anniversary! We were able to quickly get a table for 8 and also in time to still make happy hour. They have a great selection of bar bites and on Tuesday's they have 1/2 off sake carafes. I opted for the lemongrass lychee and it was amazing! I also ordered the pork and crab spring roll (not pictured) and the spicy crab rangoons (AMAZING!) As it was their anniversary celebration they were offering the curry laksa (with chicken) broth bowl for $3; which is a fraction of the regular price. The broth is so flavorful and the toppings (cucumbers, Thai basil, bean sprouts, bok choy and rice noodles) make for a huge portion. I would highly recommend this place and we are planning to meet back up for happy hour soon! read more

CO means feast in Vietnamese! One of the best compliments I can give them is the Thai food tastes like Thai food and the Japanese food tastes like Japanese food. Trendily dressed young people and spicy Asian food. Nowhere near as loud as Ru San's thank God! Lots of attention to detail on the food. I love the sushi rolls and gyoza. Banh mi sandwich is spicy but not too spicy if you hold the pepper! And the mixed drinks are unique. Will be back again to try more dishes! read more

I have a favorite sushi restaurant in town but was trying to be flexible for friends that had to drive further. It won't happen again. I ate here years ago when they first opened and wasn't blown away then. Last night I spent a LOT of money of food that had very little flavor. The Cambodian roll was tiny, flavorless and ridiculously prices. The Udon bowl flavor was fine. I was told it was "very spicy" and it wasn't and the tofu was tough and chewy. The beer was cold and delicious (hard to go wrong from a tap) and our waitress was delightful. She is the only reason I'm giving any stars. I won't be back, which is sad because it has such promise. read more

Yummy in my tummy!! Random lunch date with my boo! I usually have a hard time picking a restaurant, luckily my guy was able to save the day by introducing me to CO. We visited the location off Park Rd. It's really cute and clean inside. The staff is really nice and seated us quickly. Our server answered all my questions and recommended her favorite menu items. Let's just say I wanted everything on the menu, it was so hard to decide. I finally decided on Curry Laska and added shrimp (chicken is already included). My guy got Spicy Beef Pho. We shared an order of Malaysian chili wings and a $10 peach mimosa carafe. Everything was delicious. I honestly returned in three days to enjoy the meal all over again. I decided to stop by here because I seen an Instagram post about the Curry laksa. (I order the food Togo) The food was ready when I arrived which is a plus ! I also ordered the spicy crab Rangoon's & the mango summer rolls. Overall the Curry Laksa was sooo good I'll definitely be back for that!!! The Rangoon's was ok they reminded me of buffalo chicken dip if that makes sense. The summer rolls I didn't care for, they were over packed so they had bursted open when I opened the box & the flavor or the peanut sauce wasn't that good; overall I've had better.
