We came a long way to a week-long event and we stayed in Harrisonburg both on the way and on the way back (halfway). I had found the store through Yelp and was eager to visit. We missed the business hours the first trip and got there at 4:50 on the way back. The clerk was so kind to stay open nearly an hour longer so the five of us could shop and see the art and studios. (All of us are artists). She was more than gracious! I'm in a power wheelchair which got caught on the rug at the check out and she was completely unfazed and kind about me thrashing about, causing her to move many things. The prices were a bit steep on many things but that didn't stop me from buying a lot of goodies I've searched for a long time. I left very happy, and so did my companions! We will all gladly go again next year if not before!

Kids' story hours and author events are being added to the menu of this new neighborhood bookstore. The booksellers offer their help and assistance when it comes to book-selecting, but they don't pressure you into buying something you're not interested in. They can order any in-print title for you and have it at the store within days. I love this spot. It's one of those bookstores where you step in and really feel you can breathe. (Full disclosure: the owners are my friends, and if I hadn't liked their store I would have skipped out on this review all together!)

I was so beyond impressed and excited when they told me that was purposeful, and, what's more, that they make it a point to sell things made by POC and queer folks. On top of that, they have an amazing array of crystals, including some very unique carvings that were absolutely lovely (like a little toadstool house!), and pretty much everything else you could want from a metaphysical shop, including some handmade incense that I'm burning right now that is delightful. Also, I'm always treated so kindly by everyone there, who've all been an absolute delight to talk to and so helpful. If you like metaphysical shops or even just pretty rocks and nice smells and pretty decor items, you must give this place a visit!
