Bathrooms located on upper and lower level were clean. Food and drinks were available including beer and wine. Food options were limited to candy and snack items. The sound carried well for our concert and the seats were okay. Not the most comfortable but I understand it is an older theatre. I only wish we had more room for dancing during the show, as it was a tight squeeze. The theatre has many striking features that give it a grand feeling. You can look around and see history in the design. Overall, a good experience seeing David Byrne in concert here.

The acting and music was great but I could not get past a male playing a lead female role. It just ruined it for me. I felt like I was at a woke college campus playhouse where the players were alphabet soup people parading around. Not sure if I can go see another play again if they are going to be doing this to all the plays. The only way I could honestly rate this is if there were categories to rate separately so I was restricted to giving it a 1-star rating. Again, the acting and music was great, and it was entertaining but I walked out of there wondering what the hell did I just witness? I just don't understand how less than 1% of the population has to ruin everything for the rest of the 99%.

The venue itself was perfect for this event, although it would have been nice to have something to eat besides popcorn or candy to go with 4 cocktails! I was encouraged by the number of people who attended. Both shows on Thursday night were just about sold out. When we left at 8:15pm (the show ran 45 minutes long due to aforementioned issues getting drinks served, the line waiting to go in to the second show was around the corner.

It was right at the limit, but obviously not huge. He almost sent me back to the car with it. Another woman next to me was turned away with her larger purse. So be mindful to keep it small!

An employee was near and I asked them to do something and they said "not my job" I'll have to go out to the lobby and find so and so. Crazy, I hate the not my job attitudes and will never give a good review when I experience this. Also, very poorly understaffed at the concessions, it shouldn't take 20 minutes to purchase water during a 15 minute intermission. If you can avoid this place, I recommend strongly considering it. Hopefully the service here can improve, and some upgrades wouldn't hurt either.

The story line was easy to follow and the actors were spectacular. Parking is available off street or across the street at the Phoebe's lot for a fee. There is a concession stand and bar inside that offers candy, snacks, coffee, and alcoholic drinks (even a special creation for whatever play is showing). There are also memberships offered if you think you'll go to multiple shows. A great experience! I hope to return soon!

As a regular theatre-goer here in Rochester, I was SUPER excited to finally check out Syracuse Stage. They do co-productions with our LORT theatre Geva, and I have heard great things. The venue itself is classy, well maintained, with reasonable prices on everything from snacks to wine to tickets. Every staff member I interacted with was SO friendly. Special shoutout to the AMAZING box office staff! I had a conflict come up for my original show date and they exchanged me into a new date - no questions asked. At many theatre's, you have to pay an exchange fee or exchanges are only allowed for subscribers. That kind of accommodation will keep me coming back the next time they are doing a can't miss show (helllllo Amadeus next season!) Thank you to them for being so helpful and easy to work with! Even though the show I saw was not my cup of tea, I look forward to coming back and deeply appreciate them bringing high level talent to the upstate/central NY area. We are SO lucky to have a rich theatre scene, and Syracuse Stage is worth the special trip up from Rochester if there's something you're keen on seeing!

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my visit, I was unaware that the facility is not ADA compliant. The facility did not provide wheelchair accessibile seating, no ramps inside to ensure the safety of disabled people. If it we're not for a few men and ushers that stepped in to help me handle my family member who was wheelchair bound, then my attempt to handle the wheelchair down toward the seating close to the stage would have resulted in a very horrific accident. Please consider your disabled fans, they too deserve the right to enjoy shows in a safe and friendly ADA complaint facility. No person should feel unsafe or feel that they are putting someone out of their way to receive assistance in seating arrangements just to enjoy a show. Thank you, Elaine

Recently, La Familia de la Salsa moved the event to the Ukrainian National Home Ballroom. The dance floor is fantastic, the djs and instructors are super talented and highly-skilled dancers. It is my favorite activity in CUSE. If you like Salsa, this will become a lifestyle!
