I've been a season pass holder for most of the past decade, so I've seen my fair share of productions at Syracuse Stage. The first thing to note, is that there literally isn't bad seat in the entire house. Sit where you will and you'll catch everything going on up on stage and often in the aisles too. As a season pass holder I can easily switch my seats to another performance if a scheduling conflict comes up unexpectedly. I also receive 2 passes to share with friends, which is a great way to share the experience with others. The quality of the shows selected each season is also simply amazing. There are always a couple of traditional favorites, and something new to broaden your horizons. I've never been disappointed by any show I've attended. In fact, I have had to leave early a couple of times after just being overwhelmed by the subject matter that sometimes hits a little too close to home. Before the show starts and during intermission there is a full bar available. They even take orders for intermission and will have everything ready at a designated table when the performance breaks. If you don't quite finish you can get a lid for your drink and bring it into the performance with you too. Lastly, the Stage does an incredible amount of community engagement. There are educational programs for local schools, a partnership with SU Drama, and sensory-friendly performances so that it's easy to bring a loved one with special needs. Syracuse Stage is an absolute asset to the community and provides an outstanding value to those who attend performances there.

Noises Off. Have seen it before. It's a great play and a great cast. Good set and a really fun evening. Definitely a must see show.

Syracuse Stage always has something fun to see and puts on a great production. There's no bad seat in the house.

Many great experiences at Syracuse Stage. Syracuse is lucky to have it. Every seat is good. Parking is cheap. Good food nearby.

Went to see the Hans Zimmer orchestra performance. Got there an hour early, when doors opened. Had…read moreno problem getting on street parking right across the street at that time. Got snacks and beverages with no problem. The staff was helpful and welcoming. One snafu was purses. They have to be small. I used a tiny purse for feminine products and the older gentleman at the door was holding his small paper over it, trying to judge if it was small enough. It was right at the limit, but obviously not huge. He almost sent me back to the car with it. Another woman next to me was turned away with her larger purse. So be mindful to keep it small!

Went to see the Nutcracker Saturday night. Not knocking the show, it was great! Never a fan of this…read moreplace. Uncomfortable. Always a hassle. Always feel like there is a lack of staff at events. Literally a guy on his phone having a conversation during the show. An employee was near and I asked them to do something and they said "not my job" I'll have to go out to the lobby and find so and so. Crazy, I hate the not my job attitudes and will never give a good review when I experience this. Also, very poorly understaffed at the concessions, it shouldn't take 20 minutes to purchase water during a 15 minute intermission. If you can avoid this place, I recommend strongly considering it. Hopefully the service here can improve, and some upgrades wouldn't hurt either.
