Prices have gone up at least five different times over the past year without my knowledge or permission. Each time I call, I am told that I am guaranteed a one year subscription at the new price, but that obviously hasn't happened. Furthermore, they have already charged my credit card for the previous month at the high rate and cannot reverse this charge. I have found it impossible to call the local newspaper directly to discuss this. Instead, I am connected to the Philippines and am blatantly lied to. These people say they will reverse the increase but refuse to give me a written confirmation; instead, they tell me I should believe them.

They claim Metro Media, with whom I contracted a renewal, have no affiliation with Reader's Digest and never renewed the subscription. They are scan artists--do not renew subscriptions with them!

I'm in Virginia. I have somehow gotten onto Metro Media's (aka DL Horton's) call scam list and…read morereceive numerous calls each week from numbers associated with them. I checked scammer lists, and the numbers are on it. These calls come from Bradenton, FL, and from TX. Once, a caller from DL Horton tried to "renew" magazine subscriptions I didn't have. I would avoid this company like the plague! These numbers are mostly associated with the area code 941, extension 896. Usually there's no one on the line when I say hello. Some of these scam calls say "DL Horton" and some say "Metro Media" and all appear to be in the same sequence of phone numbers. What they gain from this, I have no idea, but others complain of the same thing from these numbers. SCAMMERS! Steer clear.

The ladies who work there are very happy to help! It is a stop worth your time! We have purchased some lovely pieces from them! They also can arrange delivery with an independent delivery service. I agree with those who say it is not the cheapest place around, but for the quality, the prices were 1/4 to 1/2 of retail, it seemed. It saved us a lot of time shopping elsewhere since it had so many pieces of furniture, arranged attractively!
