We went here to celebrate my daughter's 6th birthday. Waited in line forever only to be told that the restaurant was closed (surprise! No listed on the website!). We were offered the option of eating at the other (much more expensive) restaurant. This required another wait in line. When we realized that this was a wholly inappropriate option for a 6 year old (no kids menu). we asked if we could just buy general admission tickets. We were sent to the back of the line. Again. $135 later we were up in the tiny viewing area. Surprise. Half the viewing area is devoted to the restaurant that was closed for a private event. The glass floor is about the size of your living room. Staff are rude and half awake (here's looking at you door guy! And the monotonous woman in the elevator who couldn't get out of the way to let a little kid have a look). The building is dated. All in all, I left hungry and feeling fleeced. Note - the view is just as good from the top floors of any downtown office building read more

The city's landmark, it is, drumroll please, CN Tower. What does CN stand for, you may ask? It's the Canadian National Tower, but I guess everyone calls it the CN Tower. It was once known as the tallest free standing tower, until Dubai decided to build the tallest, fastest, biggest things to hold more Guiness World Records. I came up the CN Tower twice, one time, I took the elevator up like a normal human being, and the second time I ran/walked up the CN Tower, also like a normal human being - only not so normal cause not a lot of people do it. Also, CN Tower only opens their staircase two days in a year. So walking up the CN Tower, not a lot of people do it, it's mainly for charity and each time you decide to run/walk, it's $50 per person. You might be stunned at the height of this thing, but the average human takes 20 minutes to get up. (Hey, that's five times less than the amount of time I spend procrastinating). Kidding, I probably procrastinate more than that. Well anyways, once you enter the stairs, there's only two exits, one at the bottom and one at the very top. Before you go in, you go through security checks to make sure you don't have dangerous items in your bags or your pockets. The price to go up got a lot more expensive over the years, so I really recommend buying the City Pass if you're planning to visit Toronto. Once you get up, you do get a really nice view of the city though and a nice glass floor. However, it doesn't seem really scary cause there's so many scratch marks and dirt on the glass floors, it's almost as if it's not glass anymore. The outside deck gives you a nice windy breeze, but it's basically all caged in, so unless you're trying to raster a map of Toronto from above, it's not THAT superb of a view. read more

At the ripe age of 17 I moved to Toronto to start my academic journey at the University of Toronto... and drink a lot of beer in a big city. Since I was instantly a local (duh), I refused to do anything touristy which, obviously, includes the CN Tower. This week, my husband's friend is visiting from sunny California, and on a whim we decided to go up. It's over $30 per person for the normal experience, and if you go on a weekday there really aren't any wait times. Once you're sucked up the speedy glass elevator a la Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, you're surrounded by incredible views of Toronto and Lake Ontario... and of tourists taking photos of said views. I'm glad I finally did it, because at a certain point never doing touristy things is kind of sad when you love your town, but it's mega moolah for some views. read more

Great lunch with unbeatable views of the city (obviously) Service was great. Great way to experience the CN tower. read more

In Toronto, you have to see and do the touristy things so here we are. Came early so the lines weren't bad at all. Lots of lines to follow but it moved fairly quick for us. Cool was the bomb/weapon detection system they use. Instead of metal detectors, you walk in between two sets of short glass doors, an automated voice preps you to stand still and you misted with pressured air....weird yet cool. Its quick, harmless and you get to do a quick marilyn monroe pose as your ( my) skirt blew up! haha Elevator rode up is done with a staff member which i appreciated. The views were cool and you're given a few quick facts. You get upstairs and its panoramic views inside, a small portion is open outside but with the small gates, it ruins any photos. Back inside there is a small portion of glass floor that you can pics on...for dare devils and $200 you can harness up and hang off the edge. Yea, no thanks. Nice to see, this you do once and thats it. read more

I'm scared of heights. I get antsy and sweaty just thinking about going up somewhere high. The glass floor at the CN tower really got me freaked out. However, it was definitely worth the experience. People were jumping, lying down, posing at the glass floor. It is extremely stable and can definitely hold its weight. There will definitely be a lot of tourists at this location so expect long lines. If there is a Blue Jays game going on you can see it from the top. Pretty cool experience in my opinion and definitely worth it if you are in Toronto. I didn't get over my fear of heights after this but it's definitely an interesting experience. read more

I do not like heights. And yet, I make it a point to visit the tallest building in every major city I visit. Hmm. Something is wrong with this picture! It was completed in 1976, becoming the world's tallest free-standing structure and world's tallest tower at the time. It held both records for 34 years. Yes, the lines are long (rolls eyes). This is the tallest man made structure in CANADA, of course the lines are going to be long! Buck up and get in touch with the butterflies starting to flutter in your tummy! So, you say the glass floor was disappointing, Ursula G? Well, what if I threw you this curve ball? SPOILER ALERT: That little patch of glass floor that the carpet was pulled back so you can see it? The one you thought was too small? Yeah, our guide told us that is actually what you are standing on the WHOLE time you are above the city. They carpeted the rest of the floor so everyone wouldn't freak out. 256 square feet of solid glass doesn't seem small to me.. HA! It's a must see! read more

One of the top things to do on my list before I'm dead..and mission accomplished! Declared as the modern seven wonders of the world by American Society of Civil Engineers (also been to Chichen Itza's El Castillo in Mexico). Standing at 1,815 ft tall, it's the world's tallest free-standing tower. I've been to the Sears Tower in Chicago five years ago. In comparison, the CN Tower overpowers the Sears Tower in structure and height. The elevator takes you up to the top of tower which overlooks the beautiful sceneries and skylines of Toronto. The observation deck can get really windy so carry a light hoodie or cardigan. If you wander to the glass floor area, tourists and visitors can lay on the floor for candid pics. You can literally see an open view of the tower below through the glass reflection (*Not recommended if you are scared of heights*). My husband and I took the opportunity to take some amazing shots. We also got tickets for The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D Theatre Experience which takes viewers on a 3-D experience on the ocean life and reef that shapes the waves and island of Tahiti which was pretty awesome! The Tower also has a restaurant, "Himalamazon" ride, and other featured events and attractions. This is definitely a trip worth making to view and experience the sights of an amazing architecture. read more

Plenty has been said about the CN Tower and its magnificent height, it is truly a must see in Toronto. Whenever I bring new visitors to the city, CN tower is on the short list. OK, business traveler tip of the day... DON'T BUY THE ENTRANCE TICKET TO THE OBSERVATION DECK.... Make a reservation at the 360 Restaurant that sits near the top of the CN Tower and get into the observation deck for FREE! Each diner must purchase an entree but the entrance fee and the cheapest entree cost about the same... My business traveler brethren will understand this point immediately, you can expense dinner! It's a $0 personal expense to see a great attraction in a great setting... The food is decent, I always get a steak of some sort and I am always satisfied. The real attraction here is that the dining room rotates so you can take in spectacular views of the city while you are dining! It takes about an hour for the entire rotation so have a leisurely lunch or dinner and take in all the sights. When you have completed your meal, the entrance to the main observation deck is complimentary... Make reservations here: http://www.cntower.ca/360_restaurant/overview/ read more

While visiting Toronto, this experience was sort of icing on the cake for us. At 19 were crazy enough to drive to drive the 9 hour ride through the entire state of NY...pretty much to sit down at a bar and have a drink! Seriously, before we even got there, I didn't even know anything about the CN tower. I can recall seeing the structure miles away and quickly had to search to see what that was. We were also crazy enough to go during the middle of winter, so we had NO wait lines at all compared to what others have stated. I'm sure lines are much longer during the Spring and Summer. Nothing at all like the 4 hours to see the Empire State Building. Within 5 minutes of walking in, we were on the elevator (which is partially glass so you watch yourself go up) and it is very fast. Your ears will pop going up, much like an airline experience does, so be prepared. The glass floor isn't the entire floor, but I didn't think it would be. Too many people would panic and my partner wouldn't even go close to it. Overall, the CN tower was a neat experience that I will never forget, and those sort of moments are worth more than the pieces of paper it cost me. read more

Key landmark defining the Toronto skyline. I first came here in 1984 with my dad and brought my daughter here to create some memories. You get awesome crazy spectacular views of Toronto in near 360 degrees. There is an outdoor deck that is well screened in and also a small area where there is a glass bottomed floor. Park yourself and watch the planes landing at Toronto Island airport. Or enjoy some overpriced food but amazing view in the restaurant that revolves. They even have the edgewalk of you have a little Evil Knievel in your blood. Still one of the premiere tourist destinations in the NYC of Canada the Tdot TO. A great time had by all! read more

Let's skip the fact that you do more waiting in lines to get on the elevator multiple times and spend more time doing that than actually viewing the scenery. I would recommend checking this out if you're planning on hanging from the top of the tower. Otherwise it's just a tourist trap. We waited 55 minutes to get on the elevator to go up. During the elevator ride the employees give you random facts but other than that. You're just looking at the city and have no context on why this building exists. It's like they built it so tourists could pay them money to view the city. I also went on a weekend day and there was a line to get into the highest part of the building and then another long line to get back down to the ground. With any tourist attraction you have to deal with people bumping into you and kids running and screaming but this was even worse because you also have to endure that while being squeezed into the elevator. Again, not something I would recommend. Save the $38 and buy a post card. And if you're set on going, go after a blue jays game for the discount. read more

CN Tower - Views - Landmarks & Historical Buildings Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

I only visit the CN Tower for two reasons: - I have friends from out of town who would be impressed by being on top of a high building. - I'm doing a charity stair climb. The view is quite impressive, as is the elevator ride up and down, but I feel a very distinct "been there, done that" vibe whenever I'm there. For one thing, it's really expensive, and how long can you actually spend looking down on the city? I basically look for my house, then I'm done. Every time I pay to go up, I never feel as though I'm getting my money's worth. Quick tip: for truly stellar views, go up at about sunset, or at night. The city looks kind of gross during the day... very grey and shabby. At night, it's a beautiful light show. read more

Definitely not worth $30 per person for general admission if you live in Toronto or in the GTA area. Me and my boyfriend got free admission because his friend works there and gave us two free passes so we decided to check the CN Tower out for the first time since we were both kids. Yes, the scenery is beautiful but it's not much of a difference from looking at Toronto from another tall building. The glass floor was SUCH a disappointment, it is such a small surface! I was expecting a whole floor or at least half a floor or maybe even half of half a floor but nope! it was even smaller than that. It only took us about 15-20 minutes to tour the whole building, we thought it would have taken longer so we were a bit bummed about that as well. Bottom line is, I would spend the $30 to look at Toronto's scenery if I was from out of town but if you're local, spend your money else where, like the aquarium which is right beside the CN Tower, or the zoo, honestly think any other city attraction would be much more entertaining than this one. read more

The CN Tower is the rightful pride of Canada, standing 298 meters above the ground and overlooking the world class city of Toronto. It is right downtown, so if you have a couple of free hours it is worth the trip. Be prepared for a waiting line, and a quick security check. The area has lots of cafes, restaurants, boutiques and galleries, so there is plenty of entertainment you can package around the verticality of the Tower. Go during the day to see the city spreading out in all directions, and Lake Ontario lapping to the south. Toronto is not a tall city by any means, but it has great charm, character and cultural events. Definitely worth it. read more

While on business in Toronto, I made it a point to get to the top of the CN Tower. Yes, it is touristy, but hey, I was one so I felt ok about it... Luckily, I went during the work week and it wasn't busy at all. I barely waited in any line and before I knew it I was atop the tower. Like many tall buildings in big cities, the views were cool. The hilight for me was stepping onto the plexiglas floor and looking straight down. I will say the Sears Tower in Chicago has it beat though. There, you step into a plexiglas box that actually hangs off the building. Now, that was truly amazing. All in all, I certainly enjoyed myself. read more

Me: 24 mins 37 seconds. The average person: 30 minutes. OMG! Are my lungs actually bleeding?!!?!?! Today I did the Enbridge United Way CN Tower Climb -Corporate Climb, to benefit the city and those less fortunate. This is my first time climbing the CN Tower for United Way and all I was expecting was to be completely sore after and a massive line-up prior to the commencement of the event. Both of my expectations became a reality, and there were some 'surprises'.... 1. The CN Tower was probably the safest place anyone could be today. For the run, they had a "hands-free" policy, meaning you practically can't carry anything into the tower: no cellphones, mp3s, water, etc. Participants were allowed fanny packs, but they were inspected. En route into the Tower's stairwell, we passed through numerous security check points, I was scanned by a manual metal detector about 3 times at 3 different check points. I also had to go through the hands free security system that frisks you with air. (It's supposed to be non-intrusive). 2. It wasn't so crowded in the stairwell. I thought there would be a huge rush to get to the top of the stairs, like a stampede, but no, there were actually enough room for everyone to go at their own pace. 3. The stairwell was cold! Which made climbing the tower more comfortable. I would have died if it was hot and stuffy. 4. There were EMS personnel at different points in the stairwell, just in case some people don't make it or pass out along the way. 5. My lungs were killing me after reaching the top. (I kept looking at the EMS personnel at the top and wanting to go see him about the pain.) It was painful to drink, painful to breathe, painful to cough and I felt blood at the back of my throat. When I asked people who had done it last year about their experiences, NO ONE told me about the bleeding lungs. When I told my co-worker my lungs hurt, she said "oh that's normal, you're supposed to feel like you have bronchitis." Wow... I wished I had known earlier. Oh well, at least I know now how bronchitis feels. Despite some surprises, I really recommend everyone to climb the CN Tower at least once, especially for charity. After all, it's Toronto's landmark and it used to be the world's tallest free-standing structure. read more

My Tourist Friend in town, I decided that CN Tower was one of our destination as would anyone of you local to Toronto. Paid, Photo'd, Scanned, then arrive to the Elevators. There was North or East Elevators this time around which shows of the City view itself rather than the Lake view. Once at the Look Out + Glass Floor(Observation Experience $22.99) we went around to see the view which is something you don't see everyday, not even if you work at one of the tallest buildings in the Financial District. There weren't any explanations as to which direction and which attractions people were looking at which means some guest can be kept clueless and curious. The Glass Floor is neat and still keeps people afraid of heights at bay. My Friend just started jumping on it as usual so others just jumped backwards to what they thought was a safe distance from the Glass Floor overlooking the bottom of the Tower. I told my Friend I would help take a photo with them and the World's Highest Mailbox. I also took a photo of what we assumed was the Door of the World's Highest Washroom. :P read more

The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere and had been the tallest in the world until 2010. With an observation deck at over 1,100 feet it provides you with unparalleled views of the city below. The observation deck is very similar to many other observation decks around North America. Take an elevator to a high point and have 360 degree views of the city below (and around) you. There are some souvenirs for sale but that's pretty much all you get: views and not much else. The observation deck does offer something pretty unique and that's the glass floor. No explanation needed here, it is what it says. Unfortunately, the glass floor isn't the entire deck or even a majority of the deck, its just a few panels off to the side. The view is cool and gives you some interesting perspective, but its not overly impressive in my opinion. But you know what, if this is your first time to Toronto, the tower is a pretty incredible way to check out the city. You get a fantastic overview of the city and get to look out on the lake, watch the sunset, or just watch the city lights twinkle. Is this a must see? Probably not, but do yourself a favor and check it out at least once. Its worth the price of admission. read more

Meh, I mean don't get me wrong, the view is really pretty, but it's pretty expensive to get up there: $35 will get you the elevator ride to the lowest view point. If you want to get a bit higher you pay an extra 12 dollars. I don't know about you, but I've been up different towers all over the world before, and I dont remember any being as expensive. read more

If you're not from the area, and you want an aerial skyline view, you pretty much have to go here. The downside is that they know that, and will charge you upwards of $32/person just for the basic observation deck viewing. Once at the observation deck, expect to see lots of Asian tourists standing in front of the windows taking pictures of. . . themselves. Yes, themselves. This is the case at all of the area attractions. However, the view is worth the wait (and even the annoying narcissism of those around you). If you know the exact day you're going (which we didn't), you can buy your ticket online in advance and save 15%, which in my opinion is still too much, but it is what it is. read more

I heard a lot of hype about this place. A lot of people told me "if you're here you have to see the CN Tower because everyone who comes to Toronto goes there". Ok I guess I'll go and check this place out. After all the hype.. I have to say that I was rather disappointed. So it cost 40 dollars to go to the top floor which in my opinion was kind of expensive for what we were getting. So as I was going up the elevator I have to admit that I was getting pumped. When I got to the top I was amazed by the views through the glass. I saw the airport I flew in, the hotel I was staying in and every other place I've been visiting from such a high vantage point. What I really wanted to see was the glass floor. This was why I was so disappointed. There was only a TINY portion of the floor that had glass. I was stunned! And EVERYONE was crowding around it. Not only that but the glass was dirty on the floor and on the top where you would view the city so it was kind of hard to get a good picture. When I went back down the elevator I told the employee who was running the elevator that it was such a let down. She asked me why and I told her about the lack of glass floors and she told me that there used to be a lot more but it's covered by carpet now because people were scared. Are you kidding me?!? Next time tell a customer you chose to get rid of 75% of the glass floor before I pay 40 dollars to go up there to see it. Was such a let down. read more

Overrated. This is definitely an excellent way to see the entire city but it's also a really expensive way to do so. If you plan on spending a good hour or two there, then it's definitely worth doing. If you don't like heights though, I don't recommend going here or if you're claustrophobic. I heard the package with the restaurant is the best deal. I think once you've been to one observation deck, you've been to them all. $26 a person for the observation deck and the sky dome is a bit steep. It does look really cool at night though I will give them kudos for that. read more

The CN tower offers stunning views of the Toronto skyline and waterfront. Although the price of admission is steep, I would say it is a worthwhile experience. I enjoyed standing on the glass floor; it was a scary fun experience. I would check if the outdoor access is open before buying tickets though as sometimes the staff will shut off access to the outside of the top of the tower due to high winds or bad weather. read more

It's been a while since I got to visit the CN Tower but one thing about my visit still stands out in my mind. My friend and I were standing at the base of the tower and were trying to figure out the best photo to take, then one of us decided to lie on the ground with the camera while the other stood between the camera and the top of the tower. We ended up with a great picture and before we knew it a ton of tourists were copying the idea, not sure if it was that original but it's something that I'll always remember. The CN Tower is definitely one of the coolest landmarks I've seen and it definitely adds a lot of value to the Toronto skyline. Definitely worth examining it close-up. read more

When out of towners are visiting, i feel a visit to the CN Tower is a real pleaser. I'd been up a few times, of course. I love heights, and the cityscape is ever changing so the view is always different. I went last week on a beautifully clear day. Seriously, not one single cloud in the sky. It was so wonderful! I recommend going up in the spring also, before the smog of the stinkin' hot summer sets in. We went up to the observation deck first, then down to the glass floor (it's always fun to jump on it and freak out the nervous folks. LOL) Our 'Observation Plus' Experience was $28.99 +tx and included the Look Out, Glass Floor then choice of SkyPod or the 3D movie thing. I'd never been the extra 33 floors up, so i really wanted to go higher! It's just a tiny little enclosed observation area up there, but it was great. Only 2 other people were in the SkyPod with us so we were never fighting for front row window space. I love it. Avoid the long lines and annoying school kids of the summer months. Go now! read more

CN Tower - SkyPod! - Landmarks & Historical Buildings Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

This was by far the highlight of my trip to Toronto, and no trip here is complete without a stop here. Go mid-week to avoid the crowds. The views are stunning! It's one of the worlds tallest structures, of course you have to check this out! For those with Vertigo, stay away from the glass floor. It's actually a patch of reinforced glass that you can stand on and see below you. I thought I was invincible that day and so I walked the small patch of glass. At first I just quickly ran across it like I was walking on fire or something, then I took a deep breath and walked back out on it to experience a fleeting sense of weightlessness, then I was simply in awe. read more

The CN tower is a must for any Torontoian. The view of the city from the tower is breathtaking, just try to go on a clear and not cloudy day! Personally, the glass floor is my favourite. While I am afraid of heights, I know the glass is very thick so I just don't think about it. Also If you are going to go, try arriving in the afternoon. It is less busy (most days) and the the city changing from day to night is quite the view! The CN tower is also great to bring out of town guests. The 360 restaurant has decent food, however, it can get pricy fast. Overall, the CN tower is always a great time and a crowd pleaser. Just don't forget your camera and bring some extra change to view the binoculars on the top deck! read more

If you are visiting from another country you must come to the CN Tower. It is so beautiful to look at from the outside, but being inside is a different level. I paid the general admission and it was amazing. There was no need to pay extra to go to the other level in my eyes. I was told the ledge walk is worth it, but for the price I just couldn't do it lol. The observation level has huge floor length windows all around where you can see the city of Toronto as well as the lake. I went during the day time so I can only imagine how beautiful it is at night. If you don't plan to go to the 360 restaurant there is a small café on the observation level that sells drinks and food like chicken tenders. If not outside of the CN Tower is a few mini hot dog stands that is even more cheaper. I am glad I got to experience the CN Tower . read more

I'll echo just about everyone else's reviews on here; this is a must do when you're in Toronto (be it the first time or if you've just never been up and are a city native). We got access with our dinner at the 360 and I would recommend coming for the view, not for the dinner. The observation deck was really neat and the glass floor is something else! We had a clear day and although windy and a bit cold at the deck, we were able to get a clear view of the city and we actually watched some celebs (who knows who it was) arrive at the MMVAs :P One weird thing, most of the doors here are shut off, so there's only about three exit points onto the observation deck which was a bit problematic as we were with someone who had mobility concerns. They should open up more of the doors to let people through! Besides that, the elevator ride was pretty neat, enjoyed that a lot and the entire thing is something you really should do when you're in Toronto. read more

Went to eat here for dinner last night. Our server was rude and quoted different prices for items (since some items have no prices on the menu). I ordered the ribeye medium, which was $95, and it was by far the worst steak I have had at any presumably upscale restaurant in my life. It was ridiculously dry, had minimal seating, and at some parts was actually well done. The waiter informed me that it was the ways steaks were cooked here, which is appalling. It was only with the Canadian version of A1 sauce that I was able to eat it. I would give less stars but the view was amazing. If you go bypass the restaurant, or at least the steak. read more

Had a pretty good time here, despite the fact we couldn't see much because of the weather. Still got some pretty cool views from here. Would love to come back and see how amazing it is during clear skies. Kinda pricy, but if you go with the CityPass for $65, 4 other attractions. If you visit at least 3 the savings are more than worth it. You have 9 days to visit the attractions from when you purchase it. read more

CN Tower - View from the top during a snow storm. - Landmarks & Historical Buildings Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

I've been to quite a few observation point. This one is not bad (i'd give it 3.5 stars); the price is fine (3 stars), but the experience is absolutely terrible. The wait for the elevator is a good two hours; if you shell out the extra bucks for the sky pod (even high up), you get to wait for another hour (fun!). You also wait twice more to get down from the Sky Pod (about an hour each time). All in all, you'll spend about five hours just hanging out in a line trying to get in and out of this place. If you are local and can afford to come during off-hours, do it. Tourists can pay for the $90 fast pass or just go to the restaurant instead. Much shorter line and only cost a little more compared to the cost to the observation deck. read more

Hoped to treat important out of city clients to a nice meal booked a month in advance. After CONFIRMING our reservation the day of, and speaking to a manager, we were informed to arrive 40 mins early for our reservation. Once there we were refused entrance until exactly our set reservation time. We we tried to contact them again with no success, all calls not being taken and immediately put on hold. Will NEVER bring clientele or recommend this tourist site to anyone again. The CN tower 360 restaurant has permanently lost a huge amount of business. Unfortunately can't give negative stars on here. read more

Um, yea. The CN Tower is A-OK. I'm not a big fan of these types of attractions. I don't think I liked the Space Needle in Seattle, the Sears Tower in Chicago, the Empire State Building in NYC, or the Oriental Pearl in Shanghai. The only time I ever felt like I got my time and money's worth at a observation deck was at Taipei 101. This experience is pretty standard. You pay a lot of money to wait in a line to take a crowded elevator up to the observation deck. There, you look outside though you have minimal guidance/description on what you are looking at. Then you go down one level where there is a tiny part with a glass floor. It's not scary at all because it's completely covered by dozens of other tourists anyway. Finally, you wait in an even longer line to take the elevator back to the ground floor so that you can say that you've visited the CN Tower. read more

I hate heights but just like when you are in Paris you must do the Eiffel Tower well in Toronto you must do the CN Tower. It took some time to finally get through the line and to the top. Once there I tried to stand on the glass floor but my common sense prevented me from doing so. I looked around and the views were great and within 10 minutes of getting to the top I was ready to head back down. OK...I did it now I can check that off my list of things to do. read more

Driving into Toronto, the sky was a brilliant, clear blue. Absolutely a perfect day to go up the CN Tower, right? Well...my friends and I decided to explore around our hotel (i.e. find the bars and clubs) instead and go the next day. We woke up to a gray, foggy, drizzly morning. Hmm. We decided to traipse over to the CN Tower anyways and give it a shot. Ha! The pleasant girls at the ticket booth told us it was 0% visibility at the top. Awesome. So we went to the gift shop instead and bought souvenirs! I'm a sucker for those little maple syrup jugs. We did take some neat pictures of the tower anyway, with half of it disappearing into pure white fog. It was also nice to walk around the base of it, there were cute displays of foliage. Hopefully next time the weather will cooperate and I can scare the crap out of myself by standing on the glass! read more

THE CN TOWER WAS A BIG WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!! First, the tower has multiple tiers of viewing so its not just one cost for the entire trip. This made buying for the trip confusing. In addition, there was a line for everything. There was A LINE to buy the tickets, A LINE to get through security so they can blow air at you, A LINE to get to the elevators to go up, A LINE to go to the restroom, and A LINE to the elevators to go down!!!!!!!! I constantly felt like a cow being lead to slaughter while I waited in line The entire trip took about three hours with 2 hours and 45 minutes spent standing in lines!!!! All this would be worth it if I could get a quality picture. Yet, there were none to be found.
