Eugene was patient and thoughtful as we discussed various options to maintain and protect the waterproof membrane and strengthen the structural integrity of our expansive decks on a hillside. He was mindful of our budget and, as a general contractor, identified and repaired another area in our crawlspace. He came up with creative solutions, and he has a great sense of design and style. We ended up replacing our upper deck with Trex composite boards. On the lower deck, his crew replaced most of the redwood boards and repainted the deck, even the wooden joists of the upper deck, for both wood preservation and aesthetic purposes. His crew paid attention to details. He also did the stone facing on our portico. Eugene went above and beyond. He's honest, experienced, and pleasant to work with. Their quote was reasonable and included siding and paint. Ivan answered all my questions regarding roof tiles and what would happen if the damage extended beyond the siding. They scheduled the work to start the very next day and Alex and David were on time and friendly. David introduced himself and Alex, and they answered multiple questions I had while they worked. The work itself was top quality. They were careful when removing the old siding to not disturb other parts of the house. They installed the new siding and sealed every joint and nail head before painting. The paint matches perfectly. And they did it all in two days! We had an extensive exterior remodel done to our 70+ year old house. Exterior siding, exterior paint, new exterior lighting, new front door, replaced the side garage door, added a sliding glass door to our master bedroom, and a good amount of electrical work to round everything out. We worked with Ruslan and Gabe as the project managers while Nazer, Eric, and Jacob were the crew that did most of the exterior work. Edward and Vaska did the painting. Nazer and his crew were prompt every working day and they WORKED from morning to closing time. It was July/August and HOT but the guys worked with no complaints. Every step of the way, Ruslan, Gabe, and Nazer kept us in the loop and addressed every question or gripe we had. Every day, Nazer and his guys helped set up our dog fencing to keep our dogs out of their work area and would help break it down in the afternoon. They CLEANED the job site EVERY working day. Nails, screws, scraps, dust, etc was all cleaned up. Six months later......heat, cold, rain, wind.....everything is holding up great. The fit and finish of everything is excellent. I hired this company to remove and replace a front porch deck at my home in South Lake Tahoe…read more The good points: They were responsive when I called and provided an estimate that was reasonably priced. Started the job as per our agreement. Showed up everyday as planned. Used good materials. The payment schedule was reasonable and provided me with a more secure feeling because the payments did not get ahead of the completed work. They did not give me a bad time when I told them that the steps and pavers were incorrectly installed. The not so good: Very difficult to communicate with the workers because English is their second language. Rather than having a concrete truck deliver concrete with the correct water to cement mix they mixed all the foundation concrete in a five gallon bucket with initially way too much water. One footing alone required more than thirty 50 lb bags of concrete. I had to force them to mix it correctly, because a wet mix is much weaker than a correct dry mix. They had to redo the steps because they installed them incorrectly as well as the pavers. Only doing so after I discovered the problem. They should have realized the problem without my input. I am a retired contractor and felt that I had to do way too much supervision or else the end result was not going to be good. The project ended up OK but not without a whole lot of my time, input, supervision and a lot of stress. These guys are just starting out and I understand that a new company will have to work out the bugs. If I had to do it again I would have gladly paid more money for a more competent and established company.
