There are limited choices Sunday and Monday in Grand Forks, so you have to be open minded. We were going to have dinner here, but the reviews are wide ranging, so we thought we'd stop in for a bowl of soup and a beer and see for ourselves. The building itself is for sale, not sure if that matters or not. The entry is old school, but the interior is very plain and the ceilings are low, so it's noisy. Our server was very quick to get us menus, our requested water arrived quickly as did our beers. No complaints at all with how we were treated. We both ordered the small Borschts, the lovely K with white bread and I the rye. The soup was good, not great, the bread was very good. The presentation of the soup was very average with soup up the side of the bowl. Kind of looked like they had too much in my bowl and poured some in K's. Went here today with a group and it was a zero! This town is known for borscht, a Russian/Ukrainian soup. I was first to order after hours on a motorcycle and was told they did not have any but it was on the menu?! I had one water.....no one got offered a beverage refill or napkins/cutlery. The others in my group found the food and service poor. Do not bother with this dump! Wish I could give a negative number! Wrecked everyone's day! Was dirty and dusty also. Pathetic. read more

Stopped for dinner on our way through from Kelowna to Trail with some family. The food was amazing for a great price, we are already planning a trip back. The waitress was great but seemed like she like she might have been in over her head a little with the business of the place but she did okay and was kind. The ambiance was typical of any pub, nothing special but certainly nothing to complain about. We will 100% be back sometime in the not too distant future. read more

My bestfriend and I were on a road trip and decided to stop in Grand Forks for the night. By the time we arrived, many of the restaurants were closed but Clyde's Pub was open. It had numerous good reviews so we came to try it out. Our waitress, Candice was very friendly and cheerful. The food was really good. I had their special, salad, half order of ribs, and rotini. It was amazing and the portions were generous. My bestie has the almond crusted lingcod. She thought it was very good as well. Our accommodations were less than desirable and we didn't want to go back yet so asked about a late night coffee shop. Unfortunately, they were all closed. Candice, being awesome as she is, offered to make us coffee and told us to hang out at the pub and let us watch what we wanted on the big screen. You rock, Candice, thank you!! read more

What a pleasure to eat at a restaurant which takes COVID seriously and maintains great service and food. They did everything right from requiring registration for contact tracing, squirting your hands with sanitizer through to all of the servers wearing masks and social distancing. In a world that seems to keep hammering the COVID snooze button and wishing it would go away, this was first class attention to the health and safety of guests and staff. Very well done! The food was not very appetizing! Our Double Stacked Nachos came double stacked but nothing in between the layers everything on top and burnt!!! We also ordered the Poutine which was burnt as well. The gravy tasted sweet and the cheese was shredded and baked to a crisp. No cheese curds in sight. I was very disappointed in our meal! read more

They introduced a new menu lately that is full of some unique and delicious items. My personal favourite is the Reuben sandwich, It comes with coleslaw on the sandwich instead of sauerkraut and compliments the corned beef perfectly. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. read more

Was working in Grand Forks for the week and once I discovered this place went there every evening for dinner. It's the classic pub atmosphere in an older venue. They had a very good mix of items on the menu and everything that I tried was excellent. They had everything from Sandwiches, home made Soups, Steak, Ribs, Mexican, Salads to Burgers and $5.00 pints of beer. Food portions were large and prices were reasonable. The service was probably the best that I have experienced in a long time. Staff were extremely quick to take care of you, very friendly and it didn't take long for the food to get to your table. The waitress who was serving my party of 9 (25 year olds) was extremely rude and spoke back to us on multiple occasions. She seemed very new and instead of just letting us know that she was overwhelmed she gave us attitude and sass. When I ordered my linguini she turned to me and asked me "does that come with bread? Soup? Or salad?" Seeing as I was just passing through Grand forks and have never been to this restaurant I had no idea... Should a server not know what sides come with a meal? Our food took extremely long and the appies came out the same time as the rest of the food even though we politely asked to have them come out first. Then as we were getting our bills she didn't put the couples bills together and when we asked if they could be put together she quote said "seriously?!" And refused to fix the bills instead asking us to add up the totals ourselves. As I am currently a server in the restaurant industry who also works with the micros system being treated this way is very upsetting. Add bills together is a simple few buttons and knowing your own restaurants menu items is common sense. I don't think she is prepared or ready to be on the floor of the restaurant speaking to customers. read more
