The coleslaw was just purple cabbage with some sort of sauce in it, but it really had no flavor. The fish tacos and fish and chips were very good. Washed down with a nice cold beer. Person who shared pizza with me agreed. Someone else across from me ordered a Wrap & said that too was tasteless, only ate half. There was even a comment about the yam fries being tasteless as well. If you are going to charge high prices for food, you should make it tasty & a good bang for the buck. This was absolutely terrible eats. I won' t be back anytime soon. As comparable on my last visit to area, I had a LARGE Greek Pizza vs your Small/Med, from Boston Pizza & it was loaded & I mean loaded with Greek toppings for around $30.. and it was to die for delicious. There is no excuse for poor food, get a better cook or train the one you have better or you will loose customers that come for eats vs just the beer. Waitress was Nice though.

We went today and it was horrible. Small hard piece of some kind of fish in a corn dog batter. Grease dripping when I picked it up. We were…read moregoing to have dinner here, but the reviews are wide ranging, so we thought we'd stop in for a bowl of soup and a beer and see for ourselves. The building itself is for sale, not sure if that matters or not. The entry is old school, but the interior is very plain and the ceilings are low, so it's noisy. Our server was very quick to get us menus, our requested water arrived quickly as did our beers. No complaints at all with how we were treated. We both ordered the small Borschts, the lovely K with white bread and I the rye. The soup was good, not great, the bread was very good. The presentation of the soup was very average with soup up the side of the bowl. Kind of looked like they had too much in my bowl and poured some in K's. We chose to go to another place (Chinese) for dinner after our experience at Clyde's. Nothing wrong with the place, but nothing stood out other than our server.

I've driven past Benedict's many times and have wanted to check it out. Tonight I had the regrettable displeasure. Our waitress was very nice. Perfect service. I ordered a main. A 10oz NY strip steak, medium rare, pretty standard. It showed up, a sad 8oz at best thin little steak on a soggy piece of garlic bread looking pretty crispy. I got a couple bites in. The initial flavour was bland followed by a bitter burnt musty taste, imagine trying to eat reconstituted mothballs overcooked on a dirty grill. I felt my eyes water up as I chewed. I tried to swallow. I felt my entire GI tract prepare to purge. That was as far as I was willing to go with this sad steak. Please understand that I've eaten some wildly questionable meals around the world. This still wins the worst. Our waitress came by to check on the food. I politely told her I wasn't going to be able to eat the steak. Without hesitation she apologized and said she'd have them remake it no problem. Cool, ok, great. My gross sad steak leaves the table. 30 seconds later the MANAGER shows up with the steak I thought I'd never have to look at again. She was pissssed! She wanted to have a full on argument with me about what medium rare is. In the end she charged me $30 for an un edible piece of meat. She was so out of line and ready to battle with me. It was actually so insane it was hilarious, in a sad pathetic way. Anyways, save yourself the horrible experience and the waste of time of money and go literally anywhere else. My dogs thought it was good! So there's that.. I guess.

The food was pretty nice as well -- the flavours were balanced, portions were average size. There was a little too much sauerkraut in the Reuben, but the whole grain bread was delicious. The Dinosaur Stone Fruit Sour Brew was phenomenal! It was 100% deserving of the name. Finally, the service here was passable. Our server did her job and had a good attitude, but got a few orders mixed up, didn't check up during the meal, and brought only a single check when we had planned to split. Not the best, but pretty okay. Overall -- rad vibes, solid food, and lots of room for chatter. Recommend!

This is one of those places where the food is surprisingly good, with some crazy variety! We had the soup, a delicious creation dubbed "Chicken Cheddar Chowder" which was fresh, so savory, and full of good texture (most soups are pretty one-note, I.e soft, but this bowl had fresh onions that contrasted nicely with the soft veg). As it turns out, the Pub also boasts quite a substantial Chinese food menu (who knew?!) that we're dying to try next time. Service was amazing, both our waitress (Sonya) and chef ("SP") were super friendly, the kinds of people you end up spending 20 minutes chatting with, just to hear their stories. The restaurant was clean, with a relaxed, local vibe, which we always appreciate when trying out new places! We will certainly be back!
