Brenda Muir is quite a compact shop - but you'll still find a great selection of outfits. Like many of the other clothing shops along Hyndland Road, it is aimed at women of 30/40+, but that doesn't stop me from heading in and having a browse through some really chic tailored clothing. As well as the clothing, at Brenda Muir you'll also find a dazzling selection of costume jewellery and pashmina scarves of almost every colour. Once inside Jasmine, you might think that everything looks a bit jumbled. Don't let this put you off, though, as it's just because there are so many clothes on offer that they all overlap a little! You'll find clothing ranging from cosy knitwear to party dresses, so it is worth having a bit of a rummage. Also in Jasmine you'll find a great costume jewellery range. I saw some really unusual pieces that would make great gifts (either for other people or yourself....). You'll also find a wide range of hats, scarves, gloves, belts and bags at Jasmine. As we shopped here, students came in and out, receive a discount, and generally have their needs met with the types of clothing available. However, the selection of clothes in the store isn't so student oriented that a wider audience won't be able to find something of interest. The first floor is more women's oriented, with tartan featuring prominently. The second floor is men's, which had some decent selections of Fred Perrys and the like. When we were there, the store was staffed just by a couple girls on the first floor, and they were pretty deep in conversation with each other. Didn't bother us at all, but perhaps don't expect to have staff catering to your every need here. But if you just like to do your thing and browse through the racks, you should be well sorted.,

Again, a great selection from ugg-style fashion boots to sky high heels and gladiator sandles. The owner, Sarah, is really friendly and will greet you the moment you walk in the door. I am normally a size 8 in most stores-this dress fitted like a peplum top! When sending back the items I made sure this was done within 14 days and have a receipt to prove this. Honey Boutique advised they have not received it within 14 days so I will not be entitled to a refund and they will take a 20% restocking fee! Total joke. They will not accept my proof of postage and advised that I should contact Royal Mail for the refund of £60. I would avoid ordering from Honey Boutique, never had these problems with any online orders from other companies. Currently going through Citezens advise who are assisting me in taking it further and have advised me I am entitled to full refund as I did cancel within the 14 day cooling off period. Have read lots of reviews on other sties about the hassle with trying to get a refund from this company. Nightmare!

I'd say that the clothes sold in Solo would appeal more to ladies age 40+ - but there are plenty of exceptions to this rule, so it's definitely worth having a look anyway. The staff are really friendly and service is obviously a huge priority in this shop. Although it can be a little pricey in Solo - they do have significant reductions in the sales. So keep an eye out for the big red stickers if the shop is normally a little out of your budget!

When walking into this shop you feel immediately like a lady, as this place sells ladies things…read more I was last minute wedding accessories shopping and I realised, only by looking into the shop window, I didn't have a necklace. The one on the half a head dummy looked beautiful, ok my description of the display may not be selling it to you but it was a really pretty and unusual looking piece of jewellery. This shop is probably more mother of the bride by looking at the outfits on display. They do have a good range of accessories, from fasinators, handbags, scarfs and jewellery. The ladies were very helpful and the lady who initially served me got the necklace from the shop window for me. It was a little more than I would have liked to have spent but it really was pretty and would go perfectly with my outfit. So next time you're in Hamilton ladies have a wee look. It does feel very intimate as it's a small sized shop but it's very brightly lit and you can see in through the window display, so I would window shop first before heading in. By the way there's no way you'll get 'Madonna Voguing' here, a wee disappointed but I'll get over it. I just keep it all in my head instead. Vogue!

Tucked away down on the quite splendidly west endy Skirving Street on the South Side, this place is a quite funky wee shop with cutsey clothing, accessories and other bits and bobs for gals and babies.....there is a gentle nod to some guys stuff but really, with a name like Butterfly Kisses they aint exactly lookng to corner the man market. Anyway, this is a cute wee place with some really funky gear. Ok its a tad pricey but to be honest the gear looks to be of a high quality and its in nowhere near the same ridiculous price bracket as the west end. With a freindly and helpful owener i do hope this place is around to celebrate its second birthday come next year.....me likes.
