In theory, this place should be my favourite shop ever. For some reason, though, there's something…read moreabout it that simply doesn't click. I love bags, I love hats, I'll find any excuse to buy a new scarf. And yet, this place is never the first, or even third, place I'll go to look for such items. I think it goes back to when I was younger and couldn't afford to shop here, but there must be something more. No matter how hard I try, though, I can't seem to put my finger on it. Don't get me wrong, they have lots of lovely items from which to choose. Their bags are great and often a little bit different or unusual - nothing like the same old Primark totes that everyone in Glasgow is dragging around. Accessorize is probably a great place to impulse buy all sorts of rings and gloves and purses; but I haven't really given it that chance. I think my problem is that I go here when I have money, not to browse. Whatever my issue is, Accessorize remains a great high street shop with a huge selection of all manner of accessories. If nothing else, it's great for window shopping.

I love my friend, but didn't really fancy leaving the house wearing a bird on my head, or forking out my hard-earned cash for the privilege. Luckily I stumbled upon Accessorize on Buchannan Street and their ample selection of fascinators (that's the bird-like things) which started at very reasonable prices. The shop itself it is a good one too- it's much bigger than your average Accecorize store with bigger selections of jewellery, hair things, bags, some shoes, and now that winter's on its way- hats, gloves and scarves!

Childish I know...but back in the days of said GH I was often in here buying and selling clothes (this was the days before eBay kids) which was a brilliant idea. I'm not 100% sure they still do that now, but because of eBay (other auction sites are available) I very much doubt they still offer this service. Not a vintage shop as such, more a nearly new shop as I would guess 90% of their stock is (very) new/modern items & a lot appearing to be hardly worn. So I guess I would describe this as a sort of 'vintage' shop for folk that don't like retro styles. You'll find high street & fashion labels such as Top Shop, ASOS, River Island and others as well as the odd Karen Millen & more high end/designer items too. Everything is laid out very well & there's lots of space to wander & browse, it's also got great lighting too which is something some other vintage/2nd hand shops seem to lack. As well as clothes they sell shoes/boots, bags, belts & some jewellery too. Everything is a pretty reasonable price, especially considering the condition of the items. You can pick up some real bargains here if you can be bothered searching (Me = always!). Last time I was in I found 2 dresses I really liked but didn't have enough cash on me to pay for them (Note: they don't take cards here) so they nice lady serving said she would put them aside whilst I went in search of a cash machine (there's plenty on nearby Byres road) and when I returned she very kindly rounded down the price of the 2 dresses saving me a couple of quid! Such a lovely gesture. The staff here have always been super nice & friendly which is always a wee bonus. It's service like that that keeps folk coming back. For trying on clothes they have one small changing area which is better than nowt but can be a pain when the shop's busy, but good things come to those who wait...supposedly! It might be off the beaten (Ruthvern Lane) track but this wee hidden gem is well worth a swatch. Another example of a fantastic wee local Glasgow business.

(I actually prefer the risque name!) The problem with Glorious is that that I NEVER leave without purchasing anything, and that's no exaggeration. If I can limit myself to a fortnightly visit and a maximum of two items purchased I'm doing well. The stock is always carefully selected- lots of on trend pieces, lots of items you missed out on first time round from the High Street, and a nice little smattering of vintage. There's also always a great selection of handbags. I think the prices are extremely competitive too. Its always possible to get two of three items for under £20 but equally you might spot a really special designer piece and pay a bit more for it but still get a bargain. The owners and staff are lovely and always enthusiastic about offering an opinion if needed. They all seem to take great pride in Glorious and subsequently all items for sale are of the highest quality; washed, pressed and ready to be worn. Often this can be a rarity from a secondhand store. Cant recommend this place enough and looking forward to my next pay day!

I trawl the internet for the perfect bag, I covet them, I examine them, I wait until 3 months is up to decide whether I'm going to purchase a particular bag. In that sense, I'm all for Radley, as it has some gorgeous bags and accessories on offer. The problem is that they're all a little too old for my testes. My aunt bought a lovely laptop bag, with was a bit of a splurge for her, but the quality is brilliant and it's lovely to look at. The store itself is quite small but very chic and sophisticated looking. They have a good range of bags that all carry that little dog chain. The smell of leather is almost overwhelming, but in a good way. None of your Priceless Shoes faux-leather stench here! If you like designer bags and Radley in particular, it's a great wee store and the staff are very helpful. Like Darryl said, though, maybe we'll appreciate it a bit more when we're older!

The shop itself has the air of designer - properly posh, and that distinct smell of real, fresh leather. You can't help but notice the Radley trademark dog-shaped tag on each and every single item. The items aren't ridiculously overpriced however - £50 for a large leather purse isn't exactly breaking the bank. Maybe when I'm older I'll appreciate Radley more...

Not that I'm cheap, I just can't routinely afford to drop £120-£150 on a handbag! Kris and I were greeted warmly by the 2 sales staff, and left to peruse the bags. After 5 mins, one of the ladies came over to offer help and advice on the 2 bags I was humming over. She wasn't pushy and offered honest input on my decision, which was very refreshing. I eventually settled on a navy leather and tartan satchel (I'm reliably informed this was exclusive to the Glasgow and Edinburgh stores.) and so I headed for the till. The 2nd sales lady was equally lovely, commenting on my choice and explaining that something was wrong with their POS system so they couldn't print a receipt. However they took my email and sent it to me instead! I feel more shops should do this - receipts do become a waste of paper and this seems a more eco-friendly way; and means you can print it only if you need to. I genuinely felt so special shopping in the Cambridge store, definitely pop in if you have a chance!

Some of the t-shirts are actually not that bad, but everytime I went in to get a certain t-shirt, it was either sold out or they only had Large sizes left, unlucky me. Anyways, the girls clothing is absolutely revolting, unless you are an attention seeking, Black Veil Brides-loving scene kid. It's true, you cannot disagree with this one. The guys merch is not bad, some of the shirts are quite nice but rather pricey, better brands like H&M for example would have the same shirt for about half the price. The people that usually hang about the shop are 14year olds with their Vans bags hangin low. Not cool. The only thing I ever buy in that store are birthday cards, as they're sarcastic and insulting, aka a perfect gift for friends of mine. Also, there are a few hot guys working in there. That is all i think.

The store is full to burst with clothes of an emo vain, although it also reminded me a bit of Hellfire's punk section. There are skinny jeans galore, Hell Bunny tops and Rock Steady-esque clothing. A few of the T Shirts are styled on a frantic Japanese theme - one dress even had manic doughnuts dotted about all over it. They looked rabid, but I nevertheless wanted to buy it since I like something a bit different. They do a lot of band T Shirts, currently on special offer (2 for £10). There's a lot of heavy belts with skulls and guns on them and graphic tees with superheroes emblazoned on the front. I quite liked the Hulk one they had in their sale. They also have some zombie dresses in a comic book style, and some kitschy clothes that are a modern, younger take on pin-up summer dresses. I'm an old lady these days and have grown out of the vast majority of stores similar to this - like Stephanie I used to go to Flip and wear jeans so flared my friends could fit their whole bodies into the legs (we tried this; it worked), but I've morphed into a bit of a girlie girl of late and probably wouldn't buy much in Pulp. Nevertheless, I see its edgy appeal and would say it's definitely geared towards younger people who are into 'Scene' fashion. If you're looking for a loud pink t shirt and a pair of skinny jeans then you'll love it!

When you walk in, you clearly get the vibe that this is a university student's frequent haunt. As we shopped here, students came in and out, receive a discount, and generally have their needs met with the types of clothing available. However, the selection of clothes in the store isn't so student oriented that a wider audience won't be able to find something of interest. The first floor is more women's oriented, with tartan featuring prominently. The second floor is men's, which had some decent selections of Fred Perrys and the like. When we were there, the store was staffed just by a couple girls on the first floor, and they were pretty deep in conversation with each other. Didn't bother us at all, but perhaps don't expect to have staff catering to your every need here. But if you just like to do your thing and browse through the racks, you should be well sorted.,

I spent good money (too much) on trousers that had an irreparable defect that I did not notice until I put them on at home. I understand this is a risk with 2nd hand clothing, and places don't accept returns etc, but I do draw the line at paying ~£30 for something I literally can't wear. I messaged their instagram page about it and expressed my disappointment that they weren't willing to reconcile this in any way (I said I felt this was poor customer service) and the message I received back was so cheeky I am honestly in disbelief. So here I am doing the only thing I can do since I've literally wasted my money.
