It's a lovely stop along the outdoor Buchanan Street pedestrian mall. With four levels, lots of retail, a few restaurants, and one great chocolatier, Princes Square Shopping Centre is worth a few hours of shopping for the ladies on vacation in Glasgow. The facility is just steps from the St. Enoch subway station on the Inner Line if you need a reference to the metro stops.

This is an upmarket shopping centre which has more expensive high street shops like Reiss, Ted Baker, Vivienne Westwood and Cos (which I'm still yet to check out!). The centre is certainly decorated to match the crowd it's looking to attract - glitzy, glam and always clean and tidy. I like the size of the centre as well - it's very dinky but still has lots of shops and is easy to navigate. There's also a host of restaurants, bars and cafés but I'll be honest - I've not visited many of them. I ate at Barca probably 4 years ago and also one of the places on the bottom floor but I think that's changed hands. One down side is that if you are dining at a restaurant on the lower level, parents will tend to let their kids run riot in the centre circle which can be a bit of a mood-killer. Princes Square doesn't have a car park due to its location but it is really close to train and subway. If you do really fancy driving, probably St Enoch or Mitchell Street are the closest car parks.

The clothes range also covers expectant mums, glad no doubt, to be able to choose something other than the usual dungarees and huge t-shirts. Recent additions to the shop include very pretty Mother and child accessories and crockery, including a Beatrix Potter range. While not cheap (some of the clothes are crazy dear, craaazy dear) you can rely on being the best dressed Mum or child around, if that is your priority. Otherwise, it's hard to beat Asda's George these days.

Anyway, this is a cute wee place with some really funky gear. Ok its a tad pricey but to be honest the gear looks to be of a high quality and its in nowhere near the same ridiculous price bracket as the west end. With a freindly and helpful owener i do hope this place is around to celebrate its second birthday come next year.....me likes.

Once inside Jasmine, you might think that everything looks a bit jumbled. Don't let this put you off, though, as it's just because there are so many clothes on offer that they all overlap a little! You'll find clothing ranging from cosy knitwear to party dresses, so it is worth having a bit of a rummage. Also in Jasmine you'll find a great costume jewellery range. I saw some really unusual pieces that would make great gifts (either for other people or yourself....). You'll also find a wide range of hats, scarves, gloves, belts and bags at Jasmine. The owner of the shop is friendly and more than happy to help find whatever you're looking for. Definitely worth a look!

Their selection of handbags is gorgeous, and encompasses all from sparkly clutch bags to full totes. At the moment they have a rainbow of different colours in - which is great to see. Do you know what else? All bags are priced at £30 or less. Bargain! The shoes are just as lovely and just as reasonably priced. Again, a great selection from ugg-style fashion boots to sky high heels and gladiator sandles. The owner, Sarah, is really friendly and will greet you the moment you walk in the door. I am normally a size 8 in most stores-this dress fitted like a peplum top! When sending back the items I made sure this was done within 14 days and have a receipt to prove this. Honey Boutique advised they have not received it within 14 days so I will not be entitled to a refund and they will take a 20% restocking fee! Total joke. They will not accept my proof of postage and advised that I should contact Royal Mail for the refund of £60. I would avoid ordering from Honey Boutique, never had these problems with any online orders from other companies. Currently going through Citezens advise who are assisting me in taking it further and have advised me I am entitled to full refund as I did cancel within the 14 day cooling off period. Have read lots of reviews on other sties about the hassle with trying to get a refund from this company. Nightmare!

One of these such stores is Karen Millen. Although a little over budget for the majority of high street shoppers - Karen Millen is a heavenly shop with heavenly clothes. Tailored, stylized and good quality - this place proves your Mum true when she said "you get what you pay for." This particular Karen Millen store is a really great size and stocks a large range of clothing. Worth a visit!

Unfortunately, everything is really pricey and my student budget doesn't stretch that far but one day one of the amazing dresses modelled in the various eye-catching window displays will be mine! Childish I know...but back in the days of said GH I was often in here buying and selling clothes (this was the days before eBay kids) which was a brilliant idea. I'm not 100% sure they still do that now, but because of eBay (other auction sites are available) I very much doubt they still offer this service. Not a vintage shop as such, more a nearly new shop as I would guess 90% of their stock is (very) new/modern items & a lot appearing to be hardly worn. So I guess I would describe this as a sort of 'vintage' shop for folk that don't like retro styles. You'll find high street & fashion labels such as Top Shop, ASOS, River Island and others as well as the odd Karen Millen & more high end/designer items too. Everything is laid out very well & there's lots of space to wander & browse, it's also got great lighting too which is something some other vintage/2nd hand shops seem to lack. As well as clothes they sell shoes/boots, bags, belts & some jewellery too. Everything is a pretty reasonable price, especially considering the condition of the items. You can pick up some real bargains here if you can be bothered searching (Me = always!). Last time I was in I found 2 dresses I really liked but didn't have enough cash on me to pay for them (Note: they don't take cards here) so they nice lady serving said she would put them aside whilst I went in search of a cash machine (there's plenty on nearby Byres road) and when I returned she very kindly rounded down the price of the 2 dresses saving me a couple of quid! Such a lovely gesture. The staff here have always been super nice & friendly which is always a wee bonus. It's service like that that keeps folk coming back. For trying on clothes they have one small changing area which is better than nowt but can be a pain when the shop's busy, but good things come to those who wait...supposedly! It might be off the beaten (Ruthvern Lane) track but this wee hidden gem is well worth a swatch. Another example of a fantastic wee local Glasgow business.

(I actually prefer the risque name!) The problem with Glorious is that that I NEVER leave without purchasing anything, and that's no exaggeration. If I can limit myself to a fortnightly visit and a maximum of two items purchased I'm doing well. The stock is always carefully selected- lots of on trend pieces, lots of items you missed out on first time round from the High Street, and a nice little smattering of vintage. There's also always a great selection of handbags. I think the prices are extremely competitive too. Its always possible to get two of three items for under £20 but equally you might spot a really special designer piece and pay a bit more for it but still get a bargain. The owners and staff are lovely and always enthusiastic about offering an opinion if needed. They all seem to take great pride in Glorious and subsequently all items for sale are of the highest quality; washed, pressed and ready to be worn. Often this can be a rarity from a secondhand store. Cant recommend this place enough and looking forward to my next pay day!

Brownn's is that great type of shop that illustrates how upmarket it is by keeping it's stock pretty minimalist. This is good as it means you'll have plenty of space for browsing and trying on dresses! Prices are generally around the £200 mark - but if you're looking for something a bit special, it's definitely worth a look. The majority of stock in this shop is taken up by a great array of lovely mini dresses. They're definitely cocktail dresses rather than ball gowns - and you'll find all the sparkles and flouncy bits you could possibly want. As well as some great brands of jeans (think D&G) you'll also find some more casual clothing. I think this part of the shop is rather overshadowed by the dresses - and I will admit to making a quick dash past the Juicy Couture section. Just because they've got a label on them - it doesn't make them any less of a tracksuit. Overall, having a browse in Brownn's is a great experience. I think the choice of music (r&b) was a little wrong, but the place had a really nice feel to it.

I've been here a couple of times but never been very inspired by any of the dresses here. I was looking for a dress for my school leavers dance and as I was only 17, I don't think they were sure what to show me, on the one hand I wanted something young and trendy but I also wanted to look classy and sophisticated. They came up with the worst dress I've ever seen in my life, it looked like The Little Mermaid meets Dita Von Teese, it was just bizarre. It had a long tail at the back but the actual dress itself was short with slits up each side. The colour was red with black fish net lace over it, it just looked awful. I honestly cannot think of anywhere that you could have worn that dress unless you were starring in the latest production of Chicago or some burlesque themed theatre show. At £275 it was designed for someone with more money than sense. I think it's still nice to have traditional boutiques such as this one and it does have a very classy feel about it when you go in, but with High Street shops such as Karen Millen and Coast selling gorgeous formal dresses which are a lot more modern and cheap compared to the prices here, I somehow feel that Catherines of Partick is left a bit redundant and is more suited to the mother of the bride look.

When you walk in, you clearly get the vibe that this is a university student's frequent haunt. As we shopped here, students came in and out, receive a discount, and generally have their needs met with the types of clothing available. However, the selection of clothes in the store isn't so student oriented that a wider audience won't be able to find something of interest. The first floor is more women's oriented, with tartan featuring prominently. The second floor is men's, which had some decent selections of Fred Perrys and the like. When we were there, the store was staffed just by a couple girls on the first floor, and they were pretty deep in conversation with each other. Didn't bother us at all, but perhaps don't expect to have staff catering to your every need here. But if you just like to do your thing and browse through the racks, you should be well sorted.,

I spent good money (too much) on trousers that had an irreparable defect that I did not notice until I put them on at home. I understand this is a risk with 2nd hand clothing, and places don't accept returns etc, but I do draw the line at paying ~£30 for something I literally can't wear. I messaged their instagram page about it and expressed my disappointment that they weren't willing to reconcile this in any way (I said I felt this was poor customer service) and the message I received back was so cheeky I am honestly in disbelief. So here I am doing the only thing I can do since I've literally wasted my money.
