I have the highest tier all access equinox membership and even that is not $400 monthly. She hasn't gone there once since signing up and has reached out to them multiple times to cancel and they keep giving her excuses or not getting back to her. I think it's a bit unethical for them to do that, so now I've had to reach out to my credit card company about their negligence to cancel despite the multiple attempts to reach them and try to resolve it with them firsthand. She also said her friend mentioned that it's impossible to cancel and they will keep charging your card. I'm shocked to see good reviews and if this is just something happening personally to my mom but either way, I think the issue isn't the facility, it's the business practices. Continuing to charge after a cancellation request is highly concerning. If you're considering signing up, make sure you fully understand how difficult it may be to cancel. Below is a photo of my mom reaching out a month and a half ago for cancellation. And the ridiculous charges of $2k and the $400, it feels like robbery

At first I thought people were confusing me with someone else, but I quickly realized that's just the culture here. I started with their 4-week beginner program and had a really positive experience. The professors are not only friendly and approachable, but also world-class. They pay close attention to everyone to make sure you feel comfortable and are learning the techniques correctly. Starting BJJ can feel intimidating, but they've created a safe and supportive environment that makes it much easier to stay consistent. That's important for a sport like this where progress takes time. What initially drew me in was Cobrinha's philosophy, and it absolutely lives up to the reputation. I'd encourage anyone to learn about it directly from him. I've been meaning to write this for a while, but I'm proud to be a member here now. This is a great place to start your BJJ journey.

I can truly say that my experience at Cobrinha BJJ has been the best out of all my training. It starts with a great leader at the top, Rubens Charles "Cobrinha" Maciel, who is not only a world renowned champion but, a genuinely good person! All of his instructors including his son, Kennedy, are world champion caliber professors and great people as well. I can't say enough about the quality of instruction and the overall environment. If you are looking for jiu jitsu training in Los Angeles, I would highly recommend you check this place out!

Everyone in the class is great, very helpful, and we are all learning together. No egos allowed in this class. JKD, especially EC JKD, will push you to your limits, and you can be as great as you want to be. You get out what you put in, and you learn at your own pace. I highly recommend taking this class if you are interested in JKD, especially if you are drawn to it because you are a fan of Bruce Lee, or even Ip Man, it's hard to find this type of lineage.

The staff are incredible - I called because I was worried I'd be late to class looking for parking and they were very calm and reassuring in letting me know there was a lot in the back. The space is very secure, behind a gate with a buzz-in. Once you go up the stairs, the space is drenched in calming hues and smells of incense. The walls have many stimulating pieces of art, history, or resources to look at. They have a fridge with tea. The yoga class itself is a sanctuary from the city. The yoga space is minimal, yet it's very comfortable to relax and practice yoga. They have a very secure locker room to keep devices away as well as a meditation room on the side.

I am amazed at the growth and structure Walkgood has taken on with their physical location! From yoga, to high intensity classes, meditation classes, running groups, walking groups, etc., the yard really has it all! And since studio is powered by the Propel brand, there are always complimentary items and events for members! For example, at yesterday's run, I got electrolyte supplements, granola bars, and workout bands! There are so many perks! My favorite element is the community! I've been in LA for 10 years, and I've had my fair share of memberships with hot yoga studios, wellness centers, etc., but none have nurtured and fostered community in the way that Walkgood has. You will make true friends along the way! Check out their membership options, or join one of the weekly activities if you wanna get your feet wet first!
