Private room with the viewing window was enjoyable for people to watch us. Cover charge was very cheap.

Cocoa Joes Food & Spirits- Cocoa-4-Stars (Alcohol pour only)…read more Well, I woke up this morning, and I got myself a beer. The future's uncertain, and the end is always near." -- The Doors When Cocoa Joe's Food & Spirits Pool and Billiard Hall came up as the next place to be reviewed on my Munch-a-Tron, I had a flashback to Player's Billiard Hall...recalling that review and the flack that followed (I know it's not officially a restaurant as much as the name suggests, a pool hall) I decided to forego any offerings of an edible nature and focus solely on why people come to little dives such as this: the drinks, the barkeep, entertainment and the drinks. As I entered I was engulfed in a cloud of stale cigarette smoke and I quickly had to check my phone for the year. Yep, still in 2019, though I swear this place is stuck in the 70s. Circumventing the law legally, they allow for smoking and as such, it is just as Dalton described the infamous bar in the movie Roadhouse, filled with "power drinkers and trustees of modern chemistry." My barkeep for this afternoons soiree was Erin. Like the establishment she plies her trade in, Erin is a monument to the 70s, when, no doubt, she was most likely a top notch catch (I mean this in nothing but a good way). She is efficient, humorous, engaging and man, can she pour a whiskey correctly! Well over a 2 oz. pour on my Dewar's. Glancing at the menu (see pictures) I decided to stick with my first impression on name only and passed on the delectables offered. Hey, I am sure they are fine for what they are, pool hall food, but it's just not my cup of tea. The Scotch, on the other hand, is right up my ally and as such, with pours like the one I got from Erin, you can bet sweet biffy I'll be back. The rating here is obviously all about the barkeep and the pour. The Big Boy says, "for sports viewing or a rousing game of billiards with generously poured drinks and frothy pitchers of cold beer, this is your place." #bigboydiningout #iamthebigboy

The Neon Sanctuary: Why Timmy T's (AKA Chudkosky's MTV Nightclub) is the Soul of the World's #4…read moreNightlife Capital If the globe has a heartbeat, it's pulsing at 600 North. Daytona Beach didn't just stumble into its ranking as the #4 city for nightlife on the planet--it earned it through the sheer, electric legacy of spots like Timmy T's. This isn't just a nightclub; it's a legendary MTV-era cathedral of sound and light where the "Daytona Dream" was born. But look closer. Beyond the 50,000 watts of bass and the ocean-view VIP decks, there is a new frequency vibrating through the salt air. In a city where the sun never sets on the party, the Daytona Dream Center is proving that the "girls of the nightlife" aren't just part of the scene--they are the scene's greatest untapped potential. The Vibe: Imagine the raw, unfiltered energy of 90s MTV Spring Break fused with a modern, high-glamour sanctuary. Timmy T (the visionary Chudkosky himself) hasn't just preserved a club; he's curated an atmosphere of "Atmospheric Alchemy." It's where the music meets the soul. The Inspiration: For every woman navigating the neon-lit corridors of the world's elite party district, the message is clear: Your lifestyle is a masterpiece in progress. Supported by the heart-centered mission of the Daytona Dream Center, the nights at Timmy T's are no longer just about the dance floor--they're about the rise. This is where the elite converge, not just to lose themselves, but to find a higher version of their own story. In the #4 nightlife city in the world, the brightest lights aren't on the stage; they're the women who turn the nightlife into a lifestyle of power, purpose, and transformation. The Verdict: If you haven't experienced the "transcendent frequency" of Timmy T's, you haven't seen Daytona. Come for the legend, stay for the evolution.

When I first arrived there around 7pm, which is there opening time, the security staff were just showing up, and they didn't think the facility was opened yet. So I went to my restaurant first, had dinner, then came back around 8:30. The place was open, and there was no line. Security staff screened me using a handheld metal detector, and kindly let me in. They did inform me that I could not bring outside food with me, but were very nice to valet it for me. I directly went to the bar and just had a diet coke for 4 dollars. Yup, it's a little pricey, but what did you expect for a tourist area? Honestly, I didn't come here for the food and drinks. It's obvious you know why I came. The star attraction is of course, the mechanical bull. It's not a PBR without the bull, and there were a few people riding it. Of course, I took a ride too, and had a lot of fun (hint: if you want a fun ride at your own pace, be sure to tip the ride operator). The operator did an excellent job controlling the bull at my desired pace, and it was a great practice for the real thing (yes my friends, I been cleared to ride the real ones again ). After riding, I headed back out. Security and check in area gave me my bag back and wished me farewell. I was quite impressed with the great service and friendly staff, especially from security (the bouncers). They took great care of me, and mechanical bull operator did a great job giving everyone a fun ride. The music was pretty loud and they were some people line dancing too. The bar area is both indoors and outdoors, so if you don't want to go though security or pay cover charge, you can still drink outdoors. But the indoor area has the better vibe, and the bull ride, so it is better to be indoors. There were saddle seats too, but they were occupied when I was there. I wasn't sure what's the cover charge as I had a coupon to get in for free. This country bar is definitely much better than the defunct Cowgirls bar that was at Icon Park. The vibes here seemed a lot better. The drinks looked to be a bit expensive, but at least the bull rides are free if you buy a food or drink. And parking is validated too. So it's well worth it for a bull ride and free parking to go through the friendly security check and buy a food or drink. Overall: A
