I've been a member since 2019. The instructors and the front desk help are always helpful and friendly. I've frozen my membership a few times and have never had a problem stopping or starting up the classes. A clean comfortable environment to work out in. Pilates has changed my life! I've never felt so strong, healthy, and confident as I have since starting Pilates. A friend referred me to Club Pilates and I am so grateful for the recommendation. I've been a member of Club Pilates in Wantagh for 18mons and I have loved my entire experience. Every session has been extremely informative as they thoroughly educate you on form and technique while ensuring safety all the while. Each instructor brings their own flare to the lesson while staying true to the Club Pilates policy and standards. I prefer the 1.5 classes and instructors that really push you to the next level, and do they deliver! I often leave feeling invigorated and drench in sweat. I go 5 days/week and cannot imagine my life without it. Also, the app is easy to use and more often than not, I get into the classes I am waitlisted for. I initially thought it was too expensive but after researching other options and figuring out the per class cost, I learned that Club Pilates was most fair and had the best schedule options. Avoid! I have some family members who I saw firsthand the many many negatives of this place. It can be nearly impossible to book classes to fit your schedule. They sell more memberships than the small number of classes that you can attend. For most people this makes it very hard to actually use their membership and end up waitlisted. This makes it very difficult to have a consistent exercise routine. All of the people discussing the difficulty of canceling are absolutely correct! The people you speak with will neglect to process paperwork. Most emails that they finally do send you will probably end up in your spam folder due to their shady business practices. Prepare to be billed for several more months after you think you are free from these people. This business must be doing really really poorly to constantly have to charge people well after they cancel. A successful business run by good people would not have to rob people for extra months after they stop going. read more

I have been a member of Club Pilates since 2021. I have all access and go 5-6 times a week. When I travel I go to locations all over the U.S. and this has by far been the WORST experience ever! The class began at 10:30am and arrived at the door at 10:32am and it was locked (major fire hazard btw). The woman opened the door and said I'm sorry I can't let you in as the class has begun....now it's 10:33am. I basically begged her (there's supposed to be a 5 minute window which is understandable but I was two minutes late (mind you it's pouring raining outside) and she wouldn't let me in. I told her that I'm here from Los Angeles visiting my family. She then asked if I've ever taken a level 2 which I've taken multiple 2.5 classes and if she even glanced at my profile she would see that. She apologized but didn't let me in. I'm honestly EXTREMELY upset especially since there's a constant wait list to get into any classes and I signed up two weeks ago (on a waitlist) planning my trip accordingly. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

Impossible to cancel . All the owner cares about is prolonging the process so she can continue to rack up the following months credit card charges . I finally had to report them to my card company and then got harassed by a collection agency they send after you like pit bulls. I had to threaten reporting them to the Attorney General for civil and criminal charges before I FINALLY got them to leave me alone ! I hadn't even been to the school for at least two months and had submitted a cancellation form ( which is btw, like pulling teeth to get from them)! Parking is also atrocious! Owner has no empathy for her students either . Quite mean blooded . What should have been a simple process to cancel was made extremely stressful. They basically hold you hostage . read more

Club Pilates Wantagh seems to be managed by crooked people. I was member for 2 years and I told them via text message on June 2nd that I wanted to end my membership. They will try everything and anything to keep you in just for the sake of money. They don't care about their members. You go in person and tell them you want to cancel your membership but they will send you an email (mostly goes to spam) with a link that doesn't work . I really liked the instructors and most staff in front desk were friendly and helpful. However whoever owns or manages the place is really a greedy person. They were chasing me to pay the month that I intended to cancel and didn't use. I ended up paying them even though I could just ignore and report them. Will never recommend just because of the management/ owners. Also because of their broken app/ and when your billing period starts it can be difficult to get into classes. Just to add to my earlier review and to respond to the manager/owner. something that I found out after I post my earlier review. I never signed the CONTRACT!! the studio signs it in place of its members! after you sign up someone will call you to process your payment and they tell you to give them a pin number that you will receive in your phone . I FOUND OUT from the manager/owner couple of days ago that that pin number is authorizing them to sign the contract on my behalf (see email attached received on 05/23). the text message I received didn't say so (see picture posted) and the person on the phone didn't say so. Why would I give someone I don't know the authorization to sign a contract on my behalf without first reading and agreeing to what's in it!! so, when I went to attend my class and I was late, I didn't try to break the policies and rules as you are pretending , but I was ANAWARE of them because I was never aware that there is a contract in the first place where you are stipulating your policies. you are the only one knowing about these policies and rules. I am a person who works and apply rules and policies on a daily basis, why would I go and embarrass myself if I knew I am not allowed in after 5 min? So before you embarrass and insult your customers and send them back for something they are unaware of , be honest in your way of doing business and let them know that there is a contract in place and tell them that the pin number they are providing you is to generate an electronic signature on their behalves. or at least read the contract to them before you sign it. I am sure all members do not know about this. This is a total lack of transparency to say the least. Shame on you. your costumers deserves better. they are your source of income, I hope my case serves you as lesson learnt and you will use it be more transparent and honest in dealing with your customers. I do appreciate small businesses, honest and transparent ones, those who respect their customers and when there is an issue , they take care of their customers, not those businesses who only cares about the customer money.I will make sure to escalate this to the corporate level as they deserve to know about this and I am sure all the 800 studios around the USA do not lack communication skills the way you do and they have better management in place. read more

I have gone to several locations throughout Long Island and Florida. I'm not happy with the way this operation is run considering the classes that I have attended haven't even been booked 50%. They are not accommodating and I found the instructor while she is quite skilled, she lacks people skills and I found her quite abrasive. The owners are extremely unaccommodating to people who are even five minutes late they lock the doors after five minutes It is interesting to note that my home Club, Oceanside has the best rating out of all the yelp reviews and has been voted the best of the best! I highly recommend the skill level and warmth of Oceanside. The waiting list and awards that they have won speak for themselves! read more

Club Pilates in Wantagh is wonderful! I have been going for about 1 year (a record for me) and I can't believe the changes I see in myself! I am so much stronger, have more balance and better posture, feel better physically and mentally and have lost weight! The staff is so friendly and the instructors are excellent! I am learning so much about how my body moves and how to better isolate and control muscles. There are so many different types of classes and I love them all! I love the work outs I always feel so good after. At the end of each work out you are given wipes to clean the machines. I just wish they required everyone to wear masks. But you can wear it if you would like. They are judgment free and welcoming. They also have a variety of classes like stretching and cardio on top of just Pilates. read more

Don't sign up for a monthly membership. They make cancelling so difficult and are so rude about it. Classes fill up as soon as schedule comes out and almost impossible to get a all monthly prepaid sessions in if you don't book when they release schedule and when you can't use your prepaid classes you lose them by no fault of your own. They have half days on Saturday and Sunday so not convenient. Owner is downright rude and basically insulted me and my profession in an email when I asked why they continued to charge me after I called and cancelled my membership. They blamed me for not filling out a form (that went to spam) when they had record of date and time I called. Thanks but no thanks. Update (which I am not surprised base on the below reviews). The owner Jim emailed me back, accusing me of using a fake name to "air my side of the story" lol. I didn't know I had to explain the concept of a nick name and maiden name to Jim but he seems like he could use some help on not only his costumer service skills but also his administrative skills. He accused me of opening the cancel form to my email address but 2 days ago when I spoke to them they had the wrong email. Maybe they should get their story straight. This place is a SCAM. Not only do they scam you out of money by not honoring their cancellations but they have 0 classes available, the only ones that are available are with the instructors that have 0 people skills (not shocked since the owner doesn't either). I will continue to post on social media JIM from whichever name I please until I get my refund. read more

So far I have had the most amazing experience here! They send you updates that hold you accountable to your class and it is motivating to wake up in the morning and get a great work out in. The classes are small and they do a great job with social distancing, wearing masks and all Covid-19 safety. I feel like I burn more calories than ever and even cancelled my gym membership to do Pilates every week. They provide an inclusive, judgement free environment and everyone is so nice! I feel like I'm getting the best workout with awesome instructors that really care about the experience. I had a very difficult time canceling when they reopened after the pandemic. Unlike larger gyms which allowed people to get out of their contracts; despite their classes which you have frequently waitlisted begin with shrinking, they charged me for the month they reopened. I felt that for a business based around health and wellness they showed little regard for that of their customers. read more
