Trying to let it cure as long as possible before final sanding. I had given my keys to the house sitter the night before and could not get to my skimboard from the garage. Profesional skimboard are 350-600$ We get there and i decide to call all the "surf shops" i could find online. Most had recordings saying " its past laborday we closed early now". My wife suggested that i call the place we had done SUP dolphin tour a few years... Long shot i thought but always take wifes advice. BAM! Some guy answers and is like yeah well wait on you how far are you away. I verify im old man weighing in at 170 he has that kinda board. He tells me the brand and its got grip we got wax come and get it. I tell him were there in 5 minutes. We get there sure enough this place has a full line of quality rentals . Like a hidden surf rental location. Jack pot! This board was better than the one i have and rental price was very fair. If we could of stayed longer I would of tryed out the boogie board they had. We rented the board right at closing and didn't get it back till the next day. The first yoga class started at 830 that morning. They had quite the following. All ages and types looked like it would of been a really good class. We will be attending when we come back and stay longer. This is hilton heads surf shop IMO.

I was missing the feel of having a home studio, especially coming from a big city where I was mainly doing Pilates. I had never done barre in my life but after a few classes, I committed to an unlimited membership and it has been the best decision! The instructors are all so lovely and knowledgeable about what they teach. They go out of their way to encourage you and correct you so you're getting the best workout in. I genuinely enjoy my 6 am mornings with them, which is saying something bc I have NEVER in my life gotten up that early to do anything. Highly recommend this studio and am so appreciative of how above and beyond they do here.

They go out of their way to learn people's names and make you feel at home when you walk in the door. I like the open vibe and there's no judgement--everyone is here to have fun and workout! I'm pretty out of shape but I never felt self-conscious about my lack of balance or ability to hold a plank. The classes will whip you into shape! I went consistently for a month and noticed results very quickly. If you need to get into shape for a wedding or big event, go to barre classes everyday and you will notice that your muscles are toned. It's pretty remarkable how hard a workout can be using nothing but your body weight, and how great you feel after. The only reason why I stopped going here was even though I really enjoyed going to barre classes, I did want to try something new after months of nothing but barre. It's pretty pricey ($200 for unlimited monthly classes, they do run specials sometimes though) compared to the YMCA ($10 a month for a gym AND a wide variety of classes, not just barre). I like to mix-up my workouts. I know the business model is a nothing-but-barre studio, but variety is the spice of life!

I am so grateful to each coach at Orange Theory Pooler, all of them completely rock my world and I am so appreciative for the energy they bring every day! It has made a tremendous difference for me! Seriously, if you're thinking about checking this place out, GO....you will be met with smiles, a warm, inviting atmosphere, and a life changing workout led by positive vibe coaches that will make you feel amazing!!!!

The manager told me it's being taken care of, but after a whole month, I was still charged the regular price. Now I'm moving and cancellation seems tricky. Apparently, you can only sign up at the studio but you CANNOT cancel your membership at the studio in person. They won't give you the cancellation form; instead you have to email the studio manager asking for the paperwork. I did, but so far no reply to my email. I'll give it 48 hours to see if she will ever reply to me. It's a bit aggravating. If you can join in and complete the paperwork in person, what on earth is preventing them from allowing you to cancel the membership and complete the paperwork in person? None other than making it difficult for you to cancel. Overall, it's a solid place. I love the classes and really like the coaches, especially coach Ashley.

A new owner purchased this studio about 3 years ago. She is a retired high school teacher that found yoga at a second stage in her life. While this isn't my favorite YMCA location, it has all you need for a great workout. The Habersham Branch recently moved a lot of their equipment around, and I'm not a huge fan of the change. The main workout area is tightly squeezed together, and it can be a little chaotic. I mainly come to this location for the classes. They have a large group fitness room for strength training and yoga classes, which I love! I do think joining the YMCA is a great deal considering the price and the fact that you can use multiple locations. The gym caters to all fitness levels, and again, the unlimited classes are amazing! This YMCA didn't provide me a breakdown of what my toddler was going to go over. I didn't even know that was a thing until another YMCA gave me a welcome sheet at the first class! They set the standard high. It's summer, so there are a lot of people and summer camps, especially with it being a noon class. They could definitely increase the seating area for parents, and put more shaded areas. The pool is a little tight. The kids water play area is awesome, for babies and older kids. It's not a terrible YMCA, but it's definitely congested and I've experienced better instructors and customer service elsewhere.

James (the owner) is incredibly easy to work with, very responsive to texts and emails, and was there the day of the event to assist with any logistics. We brought in some folding chairs and the Clearing House also had some, ask what is available and what you might need to bring in (tables, AV, cables, etc). We were allowed to bring in outside food for breakfast. The space is gorgeous, with large windows, tons of natural light, hardwood floors. The participants enjoyed the venue and we received a lot of positive feedback afterward. The only issue that is out of the control of Clearing House is parking. Our event was on the weekend so no one had an issue, but if you choose to host a weekday event it's something to keep in mind. Can't recommend this place enough! And it's reasonably priced when compared to other downtown venues. Can't beat that!
