Updating my review, solely based on business practices - this does not reflect on the instructors. I cancelled a class for the following day 22 minutes into the 12 hour cancellation window the night before. An employee I manage called out of work for their shift the next day at 9:50 at night. I cancelled my 9:30am class for the next day at 9:52pm due to having to go into work and knowing I wouldn't be able to attend. When I called this morning to explain, I was told I would be charged for the "late cancelation". I pay for the unlimited membership, and attend class almost every day. I've attended 55 classes since joining in December. I cancelled 22 minutes into the 12 hour "window" and was told there was "nothing they could do". I have also been charged multiple times for "no showing" classes that I attended - so if you are a member, check your bank account frequently. This will be remedied if you can prove attendance via them checking the cameras. A note to all members: you must have an "extreme illness" in order to not be charged for a late cancellation. I can understand charging if I had cancelled a few hours before - but 11 hours and 38 minutes prior to the class - for something out of my control - is absurd. No empathy for their members who pay almost $300/month. read more

I've heard good things about pilates but didn't know whether it was for me. I was concerned about the cost and didn't know whether it would be a welcoming atmosphere. After someone from another city recommended Club Pilates, I decided to try out a free intro class to see what it was like. I really enjoyed it and decided to sign up. The instructors have all been great. While a membership is a little pricey (~$199 for 8 classes per month; less for 4 per month and more for unlimited), it has been worth the cost for me. The unlimited option is probably the best deal if you are able to go at least 3 times per week. The studio teaches reformer pilates, which means you use a machine with springs to work out. There are only 12 machines, which means classes are small. You get a lot of individual attention because the instructor is able to walk around and monitor the max 12 students and give feedback, make sure you're doing things correctly, etc. There are all kinds of other tools and contraptions, which means every class is a little different so you are never bored and work out different muscle groups. They also have classes on the schedule for different levels and some classes that specialize in different things like cardio, balance, etc. The studio is welcoming and there are people of all ages, body types, and abilities. Punctuality & Consistency: I've been a member of Club Pilates Kendall since September 2022, and I've always made it a point to be on time for ALL my classes. Over the course of my membership, I've encountered a mix of experiences with the instructors. While some, like Sharon, are great, others, such as Monica and Nancy, leave much to be desired (rude, dismissive, and unprofessional). Unfortunately, most instructors I've interacted with don't seem very attentive or invested in your progress. Cost vs. Service Quality: One of the biggest drawbacks is the cost. The membership is extremely expensive, yet the service and attention you receive don't justify the investment. The studio is quite persistent in requesting reviews--sending you links and e-mails until you finally submit one. My advice? Hold off on reviewing them until you've experienced enough to give an honest assessment because there are some aspects that may not be immediately apparent. Instructor Quality & Attentiveness: A major issue I've encountered is the lack of motivation to help you progress. It seems they are content to let you stay in the same level indefinitely, especially if you're in a 1.5 course. I've requested to move up a level several times during my membership, but the last time I asked, I had the worst interaction. The response was disheartening, and it felt like they might be financially motivated to keep members in lower levels. Negative Interaction with MONICA (Instructor): For example, when I asked Monica if I could move up a level--after almost two years in the program--her body language immediately shifted, and it was clear she wasn't happy with my request. Despite my explanation that I wasn't feeling challenged and that my progress felt stagnant, she showed little concern. She informed me that I can only be evaluated to move up during a Flow class, but I was there attending a Sculpt class at the time. As I walked away, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that she grabbed a piece of paper and quickly wrote something down before handing it to the front door clerk, likely something negative about me that she didn't want me to hear. Throughout the Sculpt class, Monica watched me closely, something she had never done before. At the end of the class, she quickly approached me to say that I wasn't ready for level 2 and criticized me for not following directions--though she had never provided any guidance in the first place. The whole interaction was confusing and left me feeling defeated. It also made me question the studio's practices and whether the instructors might have personal biases. Membership Management Issues: After my negative interaction with Monica, I asked the clerk about pausing my membership. She informed me that I could do so by sending an email, but I needed to ensure it was done before my next billing date. Since this conversation took place just a few days before my bill was due, I sent an email the following day to pause my membership. However, I had additional questions about the process and called the studio several times, but no one ever answered. The next day, I called the studio again, and someone finally answered, but they seemed in a rush to get off the phone. I asked about my email and wanted to confirm if my membership was indeed paused since I had not received a response and my billing date was approaching. She then told me that I had to request the pause 14 days before my billing cycle, which contradicted what the clerk had initially told me. I explained that the clerk had informed me differently after class on Saturday, but the person on the phone hurriedly told me that she wasn't typically at that studio and to call Monica at 2 pm. Around 2:30 pm, I called several times, but as usual, no one answered. I then re-sent my email, asking them to confirm if my membership had been paused. I called again around 4:00pm, and finally got in touch with Monica - only after this was I able to finally pause my membership. Overall Experience & Recommendation: In conclusion, after almost two years of being a member, and with a limited membership of just four classes a month (the most I can afford), I had hoped for better support and a more encouraging environment. I even paid for extra classes in an attempt to get better and be more prepared to advance to a level 2, but it hasn't made much difference. I don't recommend this studio, or Club Pilates in general. The instructors don't seem to genuinely care about your progress, and ultimately, it feels more like a business focused on making money than a place that supports your fitness journey. Many of the workouts can be done on your own without a reformer, making the high cost even harder to justify. read more

Tried out the complementary class and i immediately knew how much i would enjoy it. The instructor was great. There were people of all ages and shapes and I have to say, it really is something most, if not all, people can do. After the class they explained how Pilates works and all the different memberships they offer. At no time did I feel pressured or obligated to join. They were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They answered all my questions & needless to say (it's been 3 weeks) I'm obsessed. I love what it's doing for my abs/core and my glutes. I definitely recommend trying it. read more

This location has some pretty great instructors (David, Madison, Nicole, Nancy, to name a few). I've been coming for a month now and have enjoyed the workouts. I find them to be targeting strength, core, and balance. There are different levels and class types. I am just starting to build myself up. It's similar to yoga but with equipment and your own body weight. Can be challenging and the instructors do motivate you to keep going. read more

I had an accident in the beginning of when I signed up and was unable to go due to my injuries; they would not roll over any of the classes and you cannot cancel as they lock you in for a minimum of 3 months and then continue to charge you monthly which is not explained nor stated in the contract. You cannot cancel via the App and not even in person. Only email and even if you don't go they will still charge you after the cancellation that is NOT in the contract. It's a rip off. In addition if you do want to go to a class you have to book weeks in advance or be on a wait list. As far as Pilates places go, I would NOT recommend this place. I have been to other studios that are people friendly and those other places have a proper friendly policy and don't rip you off even when you services are rendered and not on the contract. read more

The management is horrible, period! My membership was cancelled on 3/1 but I still have one credit available and I have one last class booked on 3/2 ( the system allows the booking). My booking got cancelled on 3/1 when my membership expired and I called the office. They don't offer any thing to payback my credit, and I cannot book anything else because my membership ends. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE INTRO CLASS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN ACTUAL WORKOUT This is a nice studio and I'm sure some of their instructors are good as they seem to have happy members. It's inevitable that some instructors will be less seasoned or just not a good match. Unfortunately, I wasn't particularly impressed with the person who taught the intro session I attended as she never once guided us on when we should be inhaling/ exhaling/ mentioned breathing AT ALL which has always been a prevalent part of any Pilates practice I've experience. Additionally, the intro class was just under 20 minutes with almost an equally long sales pitch at the end. While the online schedule mentions that the class is 30 minutes it felt a bit deceptive as all other classes had the length in bold next to the class name in bold letters and I unfortunately assumed it would be an actual class and not just a few moves to familiarize people with pilates. Another aggravation with this studio was poor communication. When I first signed up, several weeks ago, I just wanted to get pricing for drop-in classes as I'm rarely in town and didn't want to wait 3 weeks to take a class but I couldn't get in touch with anyone and their response time by text was slow/inconvenient. I finally heard from someone when they called to see if I wanted to sign up for an intro class (which I had already enrolled in a week before). This may have been a good time to tell me it wasn't a full class or I would have switched to a regular class, if allowed (it was unclear to me if the intro class was required before attending other classes) but no one did. Also, when it came to confirming this class, I received two different messages an hour apart, even though I kept confirming and of course when I tried to call back, no one answered. If you're looking for a local studio, with a large selection of class options, and aren't turned off my a registration fee on top of the monthly fee, this studio will likely do the trick however I would skip the intro class if you're like me and will be frustrated/ turned off by a sales pitch that takes up half the "class" time and a studio that you can't get in touch with and doesn't know what's going on when you do. read more

Back with another review of this place. WHAT IS GOING ON with this place? Recently , they changed all of the morning instructors without prior notice. A little notice would have been nice. In the morning, we now have Samantha(no comment ), Natalie( so far so good) , Madison(so far, so good). Previously, I have said that Nicole has RBF but please bring her back. Her class was fun and challenging. I have limited booking my classes on Wednesday mornings. What happened to Callie??? I love her friday morning classes. I haven't booked any classes on Fridays because I don't see Callie on the schedule. Again, if you are going to rotate your instructors, prior notice is truly appreciated so the patrons can adjust their schedules and/or make better decisions about continuing frequenting this studio. read more

Instead of addressing my concerns and fixing a very major but fixable inconvenience, she'd rather continue portraying the money hungry toxic persona and facilitate cancelling my membership because I guess she'd rather lose out on a member paying unlimited classes for $249 a month for a miserable $10-$15 cancellation/no show/penalty for everything fee because I just GUESS it's a PUNISHMENT if you ever DARE to get a membership with these people. Rather than supporting you, they penalize you left and right and double penalize you lol and remind you that policies and rules are only going to get stricter from here on out, as if that were some sort of incentive to remain a member? Oh and to gaslight you because apparently the owner is always right and never the customer, and to send you testaments explaining why she'll never improve upon the service they provide at her franchises because I guess she thinks she knows it all and is too stubborn to accept constructive criticism, ESPECIALLY since I have noticed that I am not the only one with this sentiment as there are plenty other similar reviews on their poor customer service and inconsistency across the board. Being that the location was very close to my house and the first class is free, I decided to give it a try and have loved it ever since. I've been coming to Club Pilates in Kendall for a little over a month now and I absolutely enjoy taking the classes. They have classes for every level and the instructors make you comfortable while still guiding you to achieve the best workout. The pricing is fair but worth it when you see what type of equipment you'll be using. I was a member of the club for a couple of months. Coming into my first Pilates class I was nervous, but everyone is very welcoming. The place is very clean and the instructors are very professional and nice. Setting up your classes with the app is very easy and they have many times available, whether your availability is better in the mornings or the afternoon. The only con is that it's pricey. But most Pilates studios are. Honestly if you're able to afford it, do it. You get a good workout, a great stretch and the overall energy of the place is wonderful. read more

I thought I knew all about fitness, but when I found Club Pilates, my world changed in every way. This is something you cannot imagine unless you try it and see for yourself. It teaches you posture, strength, focus on your body/mind functions; honestly this is an amazing way to get fit and healthy. Pilates is great for everyone beginning from teenagers to those who are 80 years old, men and women, fit and injured trying to heal and get stronger, ALL!!! As you can see I'm completely in love. On top of all the positives I mentioned, the staff is awesome; they go above and beyond to assist their members. The owner Tara is the sweetest, most understanding person and will do anything to help you. The girls at the front are friendly and will always assist you. Club Pilates is exactly what was missing in West Kendall. How do I even begin to explain how much I love this place? The instructors. I've taken classes with all of the instructors and they are all phenomenal. Every single one. The classes. They offer 9 different classes from cardio sculpt to restore. There's a class for everyone at any level, 7 days a week. Monday-Friday they open at an ungodly early hour and have classes all day long until 9pm. On Fri-Sun they're only open until the early afternoon. They have a fantastic app where you can see their schedule, book classes, track your workouts and it even syncs to your fitness tracker. The studio is located in the Publix shopping center off 117th Ave and 104th St. so there's always plenty of parking available. read more

No classes for level 1 beginners in the afternoon???... Very disappointed this is such a big place with so many instructors but, there are no beginner classes at 5:30pm or 6:00pm. Everything is extremely early or super late in the evening. Please think about the people that have regular jobs and leave work at 5 and want to start taking pilates. Think about all the money you are missing on by not having these classes available, im sure there are others like me. In addition, there are no prices listed, you will have to register, become a member and book a class to see the price. Worst customer service experience (Frida is her name). I had a class booked for 8:30 am today, I got there at 8:35 exactly (I showed her the time on my phone) and she didn't let me in. Everybody knows that the traffic in Miami is chaotic these days with the gas problem. I drove 4 miles and when I was on my way I checked in on the app so that they knew I was confirmed. This was my second class. My first class I got there early, I was on the wait list and had to wait 6 min after the class started because the girl (another one not Frida) said that the rule is to wait at least 5 min for the confirmed member. I entered the class late and there was no problem. Today, Frida didn't want to apply the 5 min waiting period rule. My spot was there empty, there was nobody from the wait list waiting, and still she didn't let me in. I asked to speak to a manager, and she said I had to write an email. They just want to charge your money. During the intro class they are nice, but once you pay you start seeing their true colors. It is very unacceptable for a place so expensive to be so inflexible and rude. read more

I've always liked Pilates, but had not found a place that was close enough to my house and that worked well with my busy schedule, until I found Club Pilates. And after just one class, I was hooked! I've been coming for 6 weeks and feel amazing... I saw a difference in my body after just the first month, which is very motivating. My favorite instructors are Nancy and Diana... They're both awesome, very patient, informative and attentive to your needs. Also, the facilities are super clean (very important to me), the space is inviting and smells nice, the music is always at a reasonable volume, and the front desk staff is excellent.
