Entry is all very well managed and you then go through a crude courtyard where all the smokers are penned in. On entry the place was full but comfortable to move around in. Decor is Devil based and very well done. 4 bars and 2 dance floors so getting drink and a space for a boogie is no problem (not that dancing is my thing!). My kind of music, more dance remix than main stream. Seems to be the only decent club for miles around and have regular Big DJ's and promote also on the national Irish radio. Overall I'd go back.

The regular Havana's floor is a bit of a nightmare, typical ancient nightclub in Cork and can draw a bit of a rough crowd. That one gets no more than a two star. On the other hand the two floors above that are completely different in vibe and music and everything. The middle part is the Hidden Attic and it's a bit hipster and the vibe is a little dull. Great place to sit around with a drink and still listen to the same kind of music that's playing in the other two floors without the pressure to be up and dancing, but I'd prefer a quiet pub if you're not going to dance. Then the third floor is the golden egg, the Secret Garden. It's a super cool venue, part beer garden, part old fashioned sitting room. The key night is a Monday-- very studenty but a great vibe. It's not massive and it gets a bit rowdy on the dancefloor by the end of the night-- plus the bar is always three deep at least. However the music is by far the best I've ever heard in Cork, total mix of oldies stuff, hip-hop and the decent chart stuff- no ridiculously long dance intros and no cutting the songs off before the best part. I had an absolutely brilliant night here. So I'm giving a three star for the overall venue but definitely check out Secret Garden for their Monday nights.

During dinner, we noticed a confederate flag had been drawn on the daily menu board to support Cajun wings. There was even a suggestion to like the photo or share it on Facebook and Instagram which is horrible. Everyone in my party was absolutely disgusted and became uncomfortable and wanted to leave. I asked for the manager and told her how inappropriate it was to have a flag that in the United States is parallel to a swastika on their board. She apologized and stated that it was the general managers idea and they had received several complaints that day. Seeing something of this nature is a bad look for Cork and Ireland. The fact that the general manager thought this was OK is very clear that the general manager probably shouldn't have a job there. SoHo, you can do better and so can the city of Cork.
