We had the banana pudding and peach cobbler and an ice cream. The ice cream was purchased separately, so we got it immediately. But it took at least 20 minutes for the pudding and cobbler. At one point, I jokingly said to my daughter "are they making it right now"...and they I think they were. The vanilla wafers on the sides and bottom were crunchy, not soggy. It is one of the better banana puddings I've had lately. Definitely recommend it! The cobbler was warm but not what I was looking for. They have a ton of local made products and the bathroom was very clean. Their sign advertised Farm to Table. If we get out that way again I would definitely give their menu a try.

To make matters worse, the air conditioning wasn't working, and while I understand equipment can fail, the dining room was quite warm despite several fans running. Our server was kind and did his best, but overall the experience didn't match what I would expect from a high-end restaurant. Spending nearly $200 on a birthday dinner that ended up feeling average at best was disappointing. There's a menu on the wall with specials and a physical menu a well which was great. Our table had the chicken and dumpling special, fried catfish sandwich, fried okra, mashed and scallop potatoes, green beans, and cornbread. Everything was excellent and you could tell was home cooked. The fish, okra, mashed potatoes and chicken and dumplings were stand outs though. So good! We decided to grab two pies to go to share with some lucky friends, and got the peanut butter fudge and pecan plus a slice of the lemon meringue. Everything was so good but the peanut butter and pecan is very rich (obviously). Both were excellent but we should've grabbed some vanilla ice cream. The lemon meringue was excellent, and if we had known you need to order it in advance to get a whole pie we would've! Now we know for next time.
