Instead of a vibrant, fresh sauce, there was a thick layer of cheap-tasting cheese ladled all over the salmon, smothering the flavor out of everything else. The rice was bland. On a Friday evening, a good restaurant should be jam-packed; here, however, only half the tables were occupied. For three people, $140 is an insane price to pay given the low-quality food that we received. Philip M's is much better. I would be giving one star if it were not for the service, which I have no complaints about: our server was courteous and attentive, and we tipped her appropriately.
