The owner was extremely rude we will never go back to this golf course. Not nice enough for the ignorant staff.

In terms of course layout, maintenance, and general quality, Totteridge is nicer than a municipal…read morecourse. That said, the course charges resort-course green fees that I believe are too high for what's offered here. As of now, the weekend green fees is roughly $90, and I feel like $60-70 is more on par for what it should be. The course itself is challenging, but fair. There aren't any greens that are impossible, and there are several yards of rough on each side of the fairways before you get into serious hazards (meaning the average golfer has a little room to miss before being penalized, which I like). And the grounds crew does a nice job keeping the fairways and greens in good condition (though par 3 tee boxes could be improved). Overall, I'd come back and play again every once and I while, but I wouldn't make it a home course because it's a bit overpriced in my eyes.

This is an absolute beautiful course with well maintained greens and facilities. The carts are…read morerelatively new and thankfully have GPS enabled. But for nearly $100, the price doesn't match the quality. I found the starter to be friendly while the gentlemen working the bag drop off area clearly weren't having a great day. For ~$70-75 I think you'd be getting a reasonable rate, but as it stands I don't find myself coming back here often.

Everything is so elegant and the layout of the property is immaculate. When you walk inside the main area, everything is just as beautiful as it is on the outside. The ballroom is huge and everything is brand new due to a remodel they did earlier this year. But the main reason for the 5 stars is the staff. Everyone is so nice and so helpful. They always had a smile on their face! I will definitely be hosting any of my events here in the future!

A gorgeous view of the beautiful hills in Pittsburgh and a winding river. The estate/mansion itself is beautiful stone with slate tile roofing. It truly feels like a castle tucked away on a private villa. I've photographed many weddings over the years but Longue Vue will go down in history as having one of the best staffs I've experienced. Any time myself or either of the other two photographers had a question - we were quickly given an answered and offered any additional help we'd need. And, a perk - we only had to ask about our dinner twice. (Wedding photographers know this is a game changer and a far cry from the usual 3 or 4 times I need to ask the staff for a plated dinner on any given wedding day.) After asking the second person about our dinner, we were served within one minute by an incredibly kind waiter with a smile on his face. We were also served drinks (seltzer for my second photographer, pop for me) during "non-serving" hours by a nice bartender who immediately understood that we hadn't been able to grab drinks earlier and knew how thirsty we must be. Both the bartender and server checked on us during our meal (which we were eating in the living room, away from guests) to ensure we had every single thing we could possibly need. The gentleman who lead us around on the golf carts was also a stellar employee. I cannot say enough great things about him. The ONLY downfall is that the archways are a really popular spot for portraits. (Rightfully so. They're gorgeous!) But they are also the main entrance and exit from the parking areas, so there are regularly cars going through them. If you are a bride/groom and want your photos specifically there - plan ahead. Plan for extra time for those portraits to allow for the time cars need to go through and then for your photographer to set up the shot again. I look forward to visiting again soon.

My wife and I went here on a tour. We're looking for a country club to join. It was between this…read moreone and Greensburg country club. I know why Westmoreland country club only has 400 members and Greensburg has 1200 members. The prices are absolutely ridiculous. Basically you pay $20,000 a year for you and your family. And the place looks like it came straight out of the 60s. it smells absolutely horrible in there. As soon as you walk in, you get a punch to the face of mothballs and embalming fluid. I don't know why. I won't lie. The woman who toward us was super nice. And the manager who was a real nice guy, he gave us coffee and tea. But some of the things I didn't agree with. And some of the things that I didn't agree with was if I wanna go golfing, I'm free and I get a cart for free but if I wanna bring my brother who wouldn't be part of my membership, he's $325 to play and he has to pay an additional $35 just a ride in the golf cart. That is absolutely stupid. I've been a member at country club before. And a lot of them do not do that. They say they have a restaurant but it's not even open yet. And they're closed two months out of the year. Every country club that I've ever been a member at they're open all 12 months. They'll just have one day a week that they're closed. But you can still golf on that day. I do not recommend this place. This place needs to be tore down and start all over again. They need to modernize and they need to get rid of that funky smell. Most of the people that go to Westmoreland country club are 50 years or older. Greensburg country club they said most of their members are between the ages of 21 and 40. They do have some that are older and they also have a younger group of kids that are legacies off of their parents, but also are really in the golf. And when you want to golf with a family member not in your package it's $40 and the cart comes with it for free. That's more reasonable. Their pub looks so much better than Westmoreland and their dining room is beautiful.
