I am a regular at 24 Hour Fitness for the last 25 years and on a Wednesday afternoon, I was using…read morethe spa which includes the hot tub the swimming pool. I was sitting on a bench resting in between laps and going in the sauna. I was also observing the swim class, which I was highly considering enrolling my daughter into the class as I was observing the class two of the instructors approached me and asked me to move for no reason other than they said that they felt uncomfortable with me sitting on a bench that was close to the pool, not even close to where they were swimming I think I have answered my own question. This is probably not the class for me to enroll my daughter with this kind of behavior, I would highly recommend you read previous yelp ratings. I was really disappointed at their attitude, and I also notified the manager of the facility with this unacceptable behavior towards members of 24 Hour Fitness and clients of the British swim.

We've been extremely pleased with all the instructors (Ernie, Elanor, Faith and Ellie) who have been helping teach our son. We've observed how they make it so easy for newbies or kids afraid of water to get comfortable with water over a short period of time. They are super attentive to how the kids swim and their form and channel this feedback in a way the kids can understand so it can be fixed before it's too late. Their feedback to our son has been spot on and is timely and so well received by him because it's supported by positive reinforcement. My eight year old son just loves learning from Ernie every session and looks forward to his lessons after months of already attending British swim school. Absolutely recommend!

Ive had a family membership here for almost 10yrs. My wife has been way more consistent thanks to…read morethe childcare program that they have. It's available daily for up to two hours per child. Theres one downstairs for younger children and one upstairs for older kids. They also have parents night out events that let you drop your kids off for pizza and movies. They have lots of options to choose between for all types of fitness levels and interests. They have a great weight room area and equally great machine area, they have yoga rooms, stationary bike room, a rock climbing wall and much more. The recreational pool is heated, lap pool isn't and the kiddie pool isn't either but it's a great cold plunge in the winter. I usually hit that then the sauna before my workouts. They have a basketball court inside and pickle ball courts outside in the back which always has action on them. Theres so much more they offer but I still have not had the chance to try it all out. Their juice/ snack bar is amazing. The soups and wraps are fire!! I highly recommend this place, especially if you have kids. The staff is great and the place is clean. Can't think of anything negative about this place to be honest.

This gym is really big. It seems to offer everything you need, from weights and classes to a pool…read more It was really busy when I visited, but we were still able to get (basically) everything we needed. I was definitely able to complete my workout, I just had to compromise a bit on some of the weights because a lot were being used. I wouldn't say it's run down, but it doesn't feel like a new, fresh gym. It feels really bright inside and gives kind of a hospital cafeteria vibe in the locker rooms. I know that doesn't really make sense, but it's what I thought about when I was in there. , so I guess it makes sense to me. The staff was helpful and friendly, everything seemed to be in good, working order, and it was overall a fine gym. Definitely nicer than the 24 hour fitness in my hometown, but nowhere near as nice as, say... Equinox. It's a "get her done" type of gym, and, I don't know about you, but I am always excited to be DONE with a workout. I did think it was funny that they were selling GIANT cookies in the cafe in the club. Seems counterintuitive to being fit and healthy, but whatever. Don't get me wrong, I definitely LOVE a good, giant cookie, I just think they should have healthier options. And maybe they do, but I was blinded by the giant cookie and kept walking right. on. by.

I have liked this gym for a long time. I was a long time member, left with Covid, back about 18…read moremonths I think. The staff - and this remains a constant - are very nice and welcoming. It is certainly the most upscale option in Petaluma. That said, I feel it going downhill, perhaps more objectionable given a recent price increase for all members and then a discount program with Kaiser ending at same time (not sure if is decision of latter or club). I put my back out a few months ago so after an absence, have been back a good bit mainly just using sauna and jacuzzi. Phones have infiltrated both. No exaggeration. It would be an exception in my last 6 visits to not encounter someone on their phone in the (male) sauna. Literally there yesterday and a guy was playing music and scrolling. Guy next to him scrolling. This sort of thing seems to constantly happen at all my recent visits. I don't get it and there appears to be no checks or enforcement. I likely wouldn't mind so much if someone is quietly scrolling (though how the phone takes it, I don't know), but it is often someone watching a game on tenderhooks and reacting or listening to music which tends to leak out earphones if they are nice enough to even use them. It is stressful for other members and an invasion of privacy potentially. It is also sad that everyone is so addicted, they can't stop for even 15 mins. Game you want to watch? Go to a bar. Can't stop scrolling? Get some help from counselor or rehab! A new one 4 nights ago was out in jacuzzi. It is common for people to have their phones lying right next to jacuzzi, which they check occasionally. There was a guy (with earbuds in), phone propped up, watching some sort of cryptocurrency YouTube channel. We could all watch along. Distracting and annoying. Kids (under the age allowed) are again frequently coming into jacuzzi too. The parents always shrug sheepishly like they have no control, if they bother to acknowledge everyone's glares at all. I don't say anything as it is not my job to enforce, tempting as it is. It feels like the sheer number of people is now too high. I simply cannot get in to some classes unless I time it to hit apply within a few mins of booking opening. Still a nice gym and health club, but the relaxing benchmark feels like it is dipping low and not what I expect at $120 a month. I would ask management to consider if they received similar feedback and to act on enforcing (or create) rules around phone use and to reestablish boundaries in areas intended for adults.

I'm able to use the machines I need without having to wait like I did at other gyms. The only thing holding this place back from being a five star gym is the cleanliness. For the amount you pay per month your think it would be a lot cleaner than it really is. It doesn't take much paying attention to notice how grimy the carpets are or how badly the water fountains need a good a clean. I've been too all the other (cheaper) gyms in town and can say that they they were cleaner than this place. I wish they'd put some more effort into cleaning beyond taking out the trash and restocking towels. A good deep clean is definitely needed
