My girlfriend came here to get her nails done here after a day of work. Waiting for her to get them done, I could see how rude the staff were. Typical of an asian nail salon, I'm asian, I can say this LMAO. The nails were streaky and weren't shaped well, but I convinced her to try this salon because it's close by and she'd never been there before. To make matters worse, at the end, the owner told my girlfriend there's a $1 fee that is mandatory on top of the nails for the sponge which wasn't exactly mentioned prior to getting the nails done. The owner justified it by saying that the sponge is used on you and is new - sanitary reasons for the $1. I feel as though it should be factored into the price. You don't go to a dentist and get charged extra after for sanitary extras. It's just in the price. So, we found that extremely odd but it wasn't worth the trip or the experience. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE I went to get a nail fixed (whenever my nails crack or split, I go to get a layer put on top to stop me from having to cut it super short) as I do a couple times a year. The place I normally go was closed. So they said they'd do it and said it was $5.65. Normally it's $3-5 so whatever that's fine. (This is without colour, just two layers of gel). When I stood up to pay she said $5.65 and then when we got to cash she said $9.05. I repeated her and she said "Tax". Tax is 1.13%. Please don't go there. They charged me $10 ("only 9" is what she said to me) to fix one f---- nail, a full set - as I read on their pricing sheet - is $30. So unless they're actually charging $100 for a full set of gel nails with NO COLOUR she made a nice f---- tip for herself. Please for the love of god don't go here. Such a blatant rip off. read more

I pass by this place every day on my lunch break. I have been wanting to try this place for months. Finally decided to come in to get my nails done on a thursday evening after work. I was very stressed out from work and was hoping to destress with a manicure - bad idea. The appointment made me even more stressed! I had an appointment for 5:45 and arrived there shortly before. They were full and I had to wait 15-20 minutes before they took me. The salon is not very clean and does not look sanitary. The lady who did my nails (i think she is the owner?!) did not do a good job on my nails. I said I wanted my nails rounded, not square ends. However she did not listen and proceeded to do square ends. The nail polish was sloppily applied. It was very streaky (not evenly applied and in patches). I had to ask her to redo some of them because the polish was not evenly applied. To top it off, she forced me to purchase the nail file and buffer she used on me! I asked them about it but they were very reluctant to explain! The owner's english was terrible and I could not understand a word she was saying when I confronted her. I asked to speak to someone else but she refused. I had no idea of this extra charge and they sprung it on me when i was paying. If they had told me before they started the manicure I wouldn't have minded as much. I found it very unfair and sketchy for them to do this. Worst place by far . I went there to get a pedicure and an extension nail on my big toe as it stopped growing 2 years ago . I showed them before they began and they told me there was no problem and could do it . when it was time to put the colour the technician asked me if I was ok with bio gel . I said I'd rather just an extension. She came back with the salon owner and shamed me in front of everyone for what they thought was fungus. The owner argued with me and said that they won't do it anymore . I told them that at this point to just stop , and I wanted to leave . They still charged me full price for pedicure!!! My elderly mother went to have a pedicure at his salon. After she was finished they had her take a seat until her feet were completely dry. When she got up to leave, the chair rolled from behind and she fell. She ended up breaking her wrist. The staff just picked her up and she left. No follow up. Staff were nice and friendly. The whole pedicure and manicure didn't take long. However they did a sloppy job. After a week, my shellac is coming off. The corners are not clean. DON'T GO UNLESS YOU WANT TO OVERPAY TO BE TREATED RUDELY AND UNPROFESSIONALLY !BAD ENERGY IN THAT PLACE! I have gone 2 times.First time I guess I was lucky with whoever did my nails,because 2nd time was a disaster. I was being pressured to get shellac instead of regular nail polish,and then when the woman working on my pedicure notices she did full 3 layers on top of a piece of skin,she ripped it out and tried to touch up unsuccessfully-there was a huge line half way through my toenail.Than I asked to fix that and a male owner came up to it,took off his glasses to see it(no common sense) and said "I don't see anything.We only do pedicure.Next time bring a microscope".Another lady decided to fix it for me and than went on to complete my manicure.Before they even did that as she just started working on my hands,they asked me to pay in full for both me and my daughter as if I was gonna run away without paying???So,my hands being busy...I asked my 10 year old to pay.I had $90cash but they wanted more so I put my $90 on the desk and told her to pay with debit card.In all that commotion(and very crappy energy given off by my esthetician and other female workers who never smile) I left my daughter's water bottle and $90 cash on the desk(my fault!).When I called (in case these people believe in bad karma),I got Kathy (the woman that did my manicure) telling me she put it in my jacket which made me SUPER MAD because she was seating across from me doing my manicure,physically not being in position to put money in my pocket;and she kept screaming in my ear over the phone with broken english,being rude and repeating the same thing over and over without letting me say a word when I wasn't accusing her,just asked as if she did find it and wanted to be honest about it,she could not find me as they don't have my phone number ( I was a walk in)-THE INNOCENT DON'T NEED TO DO ALL THAT.I told her "You could've just say "No,you didn't leave your money here" without being rude and I hang up after a few seconds of her silence. read more

The lady said I had an in grown toe nail. She cut it,..badly, I was bleeding and in much pain. I saw the owner from the corner of my eye laughing with another technician by my facial expressions of pain. I had to go to the hospital, my toe got infected badly. See attached image. This is my go to salon for nails and waxing; they are fast, efficient and reasonably priced. I get my bio gels here and only here as they know exactly how I like it and are meticulous. The pedicures are great as well and they have more then enough staff that are skilled and kind. Walk ins always seem to be accomodated even though they are a busy salon with a lot of customers at any given time, but they slways manage to squeeze you in while still doing an excellent job. The waxing is quick and I rarely get any reactions and this was a major problem for me before I found this place. The owner is a friendly lady always offering a warm smile to customers. My only complaint about this place, and the reason it is not recieving a 5/5 rating is because they tend to be a bit pushy on the sales side. That being said any salon u will go to I'm sure will try to sell u more then u planned on buying. Even still the service, staff, location and prices more then make up for it. I was hard pressed even to give this place one star. Went for a regular mani as I couldn't get to my regular place & girl who did my nails was constantly trying to upsell me on shellac and biogel. She even went so far as to say that it would take hours for my regular manicure to dry. ?!! She was telling me that they were 'good' for my nails. Honestly...?!! The clean-up portion of the nails was pretty lackluster and the dark polish was streaky and starting chipping not soon after. My second time at this salon. I agree with some of the others - the lady kept pushing Shellac on me, practically told me she was going to do it even though I kept telling her all I wanted was a regular mani. She got very rude, very fast, kept constantly talking in her language to other employees probably calling me names. Then she cut my cuticles so badly that my thumb started bleeding & when I asked her to put alcohol on it, she told me it was bleeding because my skin was dry! Funny thing is that my skin was not dry when I walked in there! She proceeded to pile polish on top of the bleeding skin possibly trying to cover it up & it's only after she noticed me pampering my bleeding thumb that she decided to put some alcohol on it. This lady should be fired. If I had any sense I would have walked out of there instead of sitting through that ordeal. Obviously good sense did not prevail at the time. I will never go there again & will certainly not recommend it to anyone & will discourage others from going there. It's better for people like that to close shop & go into a business where they do not have to deal with people. Completely unfriendly, pushy, callous & below zero customer care skills. Worst salon of life. I work in the mall and didn't have time to go to my usual salon so I went in to get an acrylic full set as I am leaving for vacation tomorrow. First she said it was fine but kept telling me to get bio gel for $55 and more $$ to do shellac. I kept saying I didn't want bio gel or shellac as I prob won't keep these on long. She put on the fake nails for me and then made me sit for 10 minutes. After she came back and said we can't do acrylic because it smells and I have to do bio gel. I said no I don't want bio gel and she rudely said well too bad and we don't have time to do it. What the hell? So she put my fingers in alcohol so that the nails she put on would come off. I left disappointed. Luckily, My boss let me go to a nearby salon and I got them done there. read more

I've been going here on and off for years for various services because it's close to home. A little while ago I went there to have them do a shellac manicure. And Linda, one of the owners, convinced me to do bio gel. $60 for the initial application and the $35 for a fill. When I went back recently for a fill they charged me $45 and when I asked why, he told me it was extra for shellac. No one told me that otherwise I would have got regular polish. Also when you are there the employees are talking so loud, pretty much yelling and stand right behind you while "talking" which is extremely irritating. Okay so I went here once to take my mom and sister for mani pedis. While they were doing that (since I am a nail biter) I figured I would get some fake nails for the holidays. Firstly, despite having booked an appointment, they made me wait about 15 minutes, which was not ideal. Then, my nail tech was audibly complaining about having to do my bio gel set as they had just finished a customer when the boss told me to go to them. The set itself was sloppy, badly shaped and obviously rushed, as the tech both didn't want me as a client and wanted to move on asap as a line was forming behind me. I also got cut very badly on my pinky, to the point where my eyes teared up and I was bleeding. This was not addressed during the nail shaping process. Finally the other lady who did my shellac polish applied it unevenly and all over my cuticles. They look like trash, even after I filed them later myself to a better shape. This experience cost me 65$ just for my mani, although my mother and sister had no complaints so maybe just do not go here for bio gel/ fake nails. I felt unimportant, rushed and scammed, which is not ideal for a spa day. I will not be returning. read more

I have been here for waxing, nails and facial. Their waxing is nice and fast. The facials are good too but I have never gotten a facial anywhere else so I can't compare. They are very pushy with trying to add more to your bill. They'll always ask "Do you want to wax your _____?" I got asked twice one time because I was getting a pedicure & manicure on the same day. One time I asked to remove my gel nails and they were trying so hard to convince me to get a refill. As for the nails, it's okay. I have only gotten bio gel + shellac and the only person I like to do my nails is Kathy. She does an excellent job. One time another girl did my nails and the nail looked very thick. It was more obvious as my nail started to grow out some more. They like to make the nail shape look natural which nice. But I showed the girl a picture of the shape I wanted and in the end, the shape looked nothing like the photo at all. They don't have a good colour selection for shellac polish. It's mostly reds, pinks and some neutrals. Be careful about the colour wheel on the neutral colours!!! The colour wheel is originally an off-white so with the neutral colours, especially the lighter ones, will most likely not turn out the same on your actual nails since the base is white and your real nails are a nudish shade. I learned this the hard way twice as the colour didn't look the same on my nails. The sad part is that when I mentioned it to them, they said that when you add 3 layers, the colour changes. Umm like how am I supposed to know that? Usually with 3 layers, the colour becomes more opaque. You would think that the colour you see on the wheel will the same one that will be on your nails. I mentioned that this is not the colour I expected and they told me they would have to charge me an extra $15 to change it because it's not their fault, it's my fault I wanted 3 layers. read more

This is my second time here, the first time a full set of bio gel nails was about 50 dollars. The second time I went was almost the same when questioned that it should only be 35 dollars you have to add in tax, air brush and since i like my nails blended with the airbrush I got 2 coats of gel polish, they wanted to charge me $5 dollars a coat! that's an extra $10! but they ended up "giving me a deal" and only charged me 5 dollars extra for polish. I couldn't believe these hidden costs until check out when nobody told me in the first place. But according to them "she told you" nope she didn't, I agree with previous comment they are pushy on sales and rip you off at check out. And the place is dusty and dirty, why don't they use that extra money that they are ripping people off and clean the place! looks like it hadn't been cleaned in 5 years. I used to go to this place regularly for more than a year- until a few months ago. The owners are very pleasant and nice BUT the staff is quite arrogant and rude at times. I used to go every 3 weeks more or less, and got my bio gel done plus a pedicure, so an average of $110 a month plus tips. The last few times I went, I received bad treatment, the lady doing my nails was rude and harsh on my hands when I pointed out something that I didn't like on one of my nails, she was very inpatient and said she can't do my nails square which is funny because I have my nails square for the past few years and then she no longer wanted to work on my nails In the meantime a lot of Korean talking started between the staff, which always bothered me a lot and laughing.I'm a nice person and I don't like confrontation, I pointed out to the owners that I come there to relax and have some me time and not argue with their staff. I have been going here for a couple of years now. I have normally had a good experience here. Today when I went to get my nails done I have never felt so uncomfortable for getting acrylic nails. My nail tech was amazing, her name was gigi. She only asked me 1 time if I would rather do Bio gel. However her co-worker beside her was more pushy,to the point that I was going to get up and walk out if my nails werent already started, about how bio- gel is better and it doesnt smell, if they really HATE the smell so much they should just get rid of it. . To make it even more uncomfortable the girl beside me complained of the smell. Like you are bound to smell "that smell' when you go to a nail salon with acrylic nails. I have had better experience than today at this place. I gave it 2/5 based on my exeperience today but I would normally give it 4/5 because like the other comments they are pushy on sales and try and make you do more than what you come in for which I do not like, If I wanted to do another service I would tell you! read more
