One of the most important aspects to us is seeing how much our children love their teachers! Every aspect of how a child develops is incredibly considered, thought-out, and seamlessly integrated into their daily learning. We are so proud to be a part of this one-of-a-kind, supportive community.

St. Tim's has a serious lack of funding, and it shows. Each week, our daughter was asked to come with money to pay for school-wide events, usually to buy Dollar Tree junk food -- a transparent effort of the school to raise much needed money. Volleyballs (the only feature of the "athletics department") are misshapen, lopsided and ripping at the seams. What's more, every water fountain is broken and students are discouraged from using the restroom In groups as a way to avoid high water and power bills. Aside from the more obvious signs, the lack of funding is even clearer behind the scenes: the school holds a "Teachers Matter" fundraiser because the school can't afford to pay its teachers what they deserve, and we parents are asked to contribute even more to teachers' paychecks. In fact, almost everything about the school is a fundraiser: Parents Night Out, pep rallies, school plays and the Cultural Heritage Festival. The only thing more lacking than funds at St. Tim's is the school's leadership. We're so happy we finally left.

The school founder, Allan has created a community in which students, parents and teachers support each other. Special recognition to Hogan, Angel, and Jordan for the extended commitment to educating children. It's wonderful to be able to send our children to school, knowing that they will be safe, inspired to learn and thrive. My only complaint is that I didn't discover them earlier! My children's complaints are that their school year is not longer! (They followed the private school calendar, which is shorter than the LAUSD calendar). The school and the teachers are true gems.

I was around for most of the sessions and was impressed not only with the lessons provided (I learned a lot of things!) but the PATIENCE of each teacher. I heard the same questions asked repeatedly by students (and some parents!) and there was *never* even a hint of frustration from the team. WOW! Teaching over zoom is HARD so I can't give enough credit for the work they did! The activities were great, when the supply box first arrived I wasn't sure how the supplies in it were going to occupy my two squirrley kids for a week but it was like Mary Poppins magic carpet bag that just kept supplying what they needed! My kids want me to give a special shout out to Hogan who taught them (and a technologically challenged mom) how to "code" and my daughter wants Abe to know how much she liked the slime. Also they love Grey, Rosie and Alan, so basically every teacher they had they thought was the best teacher I'd highly recommend this group of educators for your homeschool or camp needs, they care about the kids and their excitement for what they teach transfers to the kids, even the littlest campers!

Beginning with Madame Haustete, the head of the school, all of the teachers, supervisors, and staff are just the best of the best. It is a nurturing, loving environment paired with a structured yet fun approach to learning. Half of the children's day is taught in French and the other half is in English. We are not French and my son spoke no French when he started and he is now well on his way to being fluent in just one school year. The supervisors and security greet you and your child by name every morning and it is a safe, happy place that my son looked forward to going to every single day. He cannot wait to start first grade in the fall and he says almost on a weekly basis that his school is the best. The lunch provided is prepared by chefs daily and is healthy and balanced - the menu is gourmet! The events throughout the year are so special and the school is very independent meaning parents have the opportunity to volunteer but they are not asking for donations and an excessive amount of your time (like many other private schools that directly ask/demand for donations during the interview process - yuck!) Le Lycee is focused on the well being and education of the children and it shows. It is a diverse group of families that are grounded and it's not about who has what. Everyone is there for the same reason which is to enrich their child with a balanced approach to learning. I am the biggest champion of Madame Haustete and the entire staff at Le Lycee and I'm so grateful my son will be continuing his education at such a wonderful school. Thank you to everyone who made his first year of school truly magical!

Your children will be surrounded by exceptional teachers with advanced degrees. They utilize the latest and greatest educational methods, and researchers are on-sight. Dr. Renata Gusmão-Garcia Williams is a brilliant, captivating leader and the kids love her. Small class sizes, access to the latest technology, walking field trips to museums on UCLA's campus, agriculture programs with a Farmer's Market really excites the kids to grow and sell items to the community. UCLA Athletes come to campus from time to time to play and mentor these lucky children. They even get a Fit Day and utilize UCLA's athletic fields! Every culture is welcomed and celebrated.
