Everything I ate was very delicious and really hit the stop in preparation for long days outside hiking and camping. Both mornings I ate the breakfast burrito with sausage. Very well prepared and filling, with some very yummy salsa on the side. I also tried two of their muffins, both were fantastic and came with optional icing. Very tasty sweet treat. Their coffee is also great! I had an iced latte one morning and a hot latte the next morning. Both were great. The workers inside were super friendly and welcoming. It's clearly popular with locals, as there were lines inside and at the drive thru. But service was very fast! The vibes inside were nice and cozy. Right off the highway so it's an easy stop, and it's attached to a gas station making it very convenient. I will definitely come back here next time I'm in the Coulee City area.

After growing frustrated with the other coffee shop on the main drag, we searched for nearby options and were relieved to find this one open. Overall, Voltage Coffee House was a much better experience. You could actually taste the coffee in the drinks, which was a nice change. The gal who took our order was friendly and greeted us with a smile, which added a welcoming touch. The two baristas preparing the drinks seemed a bit disoriented and unsure with some of the orders, so I was pleasantly surprised when the drinks came out just right. The ambiance of the café felt a little scattered--it didn't seem like there was a consistent theme--but the space definitely has good bones and the potential to be something special. One small thing I appreciated was that they don't put the lids or straws on your drinks for you. It's a simple but thoughtful touch that I personally prefer. We'll definitely be back.

Today was our second visit but the first to include food. We are in town for the week and stopped by for coffee three days ago and bantered a bit with the woman working the counter whose name we found out today is Amber. She's so awesome! I hope that business knows just how amazing she is and treats her accordingly. That first day we only ordered coffee and really liked it and the banter lifted us up a bit so that was cool. Today we went in for breakfast and coffee. She remembered us and everything unique about that first encounter. It was a good feeling after a crazy few days so that was wonderful. We also met Hannah who made the excellent coffees we had. We ordered a croque monsieur with an egg on top, a beirock (not sure I'm spelling that right), quiche and a morning bun. Everything was delicious! The beirock had eggs, cheese and bacon in it in a fully closed bun. That bun had such a good flavor that I would only order that next time. The quiche was creamy and smooth but the crust wasn't good. Our daughter who lives here and loves this place, especially their quiche (she says it's better than mine, lol) says the crust usually isn't as bad as it was today. For me, it tasted like it was microwaved (and maybe it was) and that taste and texture is not good. The filling was so tasty though. The morning bun was delicious. I don't normally love sweets for breakfast but it was yummy. The croque was fan-frickin-tastic and while Randy says he's had one that's better, it's not much better and he absolutely loved it.
