I really don't want to bash a business or a stylist as I am also a small business owner and strive to perfection for my clients and understand this isn't always possible but after 10.5 hours in the chair, yes 10.5 HOURS this is the outcome of my hair. I went in on 1/10 at 12:30 pm with Jodi to get my current extensions removed, roots bleached and my current extensions put back in (I left the shop at almost 11pm).I left like this after 10.5 hours and almost $1900!!!!!! As you can see I have an orange band all over my head and my extensions are already coming out only after 4 days. I called the shop on Sunday (still haven't been called or even a email from them and it's now Wednesday). I have sent all the photos and complained to the stylist and was told I would only receive a $350 refund for (color). Mind you she charged me for high lights on top of my color to fix her mistake of not lifting me long enough from the start. I am not one to complain about most things but when you spent this kind of money I expect perfection! I have been getting my hair bleached and extensions done for YEARS!! Never have I ever spent this kind of money unless I had purchased new hair (I did not) and my color is 5 different colors. I highly recommend staying away from this salon as they clearly don't value their customers and the hard earned money it takes to get ones hair done. Very disappointed in this place and will NEVER return. I am aware they will come on here and tell me I could go back for them to fix it but after spending 10.5 hours in the chair and you let me leave like this. Do you think I trust you to fix it properly? Not to mention the extra charge for them trying to fix their mistake from the beginning? Also I NEVER even received an itemized receipt so I have no idea exactly what I was even charged for. With that said even if their claim of my color only costing $350. There is no way my own hair removal and replacement should cost $1500! Not sure if all my pictures are loading but I have many of the orange band, my extensions falling out and my hair that was fried off from the bleaching. Well I wish this wasn't the case, but I've drawn the line. When I left from my hair appointment I was upset about the cut and a minor detail mishap in color. BUT I saw this SPOT of color in my hair now and I can't let this go unspoken of. I received my cut and color almost a month ago now and I am just now seeing this huge spot... The front desk is sooo friendly and accommodating. My hair stylist is Estee, and she is hilarious. She's also the first hairdresser who's ever been able to perfectly match my natural root color so that when my hair grows out, there's literally no line--just grays (lol). She'll also fix anything if you don't feel it's what you asked for, e.g., one time I felt like I left with two highlights in the front and hardly any in the back (which I'm not cool enough to pull off), and she happily thinned them out and brightened up the back with some more natural highlights, which looked amazing. Somehow she's able to do highlights without that obvious line. They're in the middle of remodeling (which isn't bad; it's still clean), but if you can look past that, you'll have a great experience. Oh, and if you're from California like me, you'll actually be able to get your hair done in a salon here (i.e., they don't charge $350 like the salons in Southern CA do). read more

I went to cloud 9 salon about two weeks ago and I had a young lady named Ray workin on my hair, I gave her free reign, I wanted something fun and spunky it was my birthday and at 61 years age I needed a little uplift. Problem was twofold, one I hated the color and the cut was very bad. We had ended up having the stylus in the booth next to her come over to fix the cut, she did better. I was told to go home see what people thought about the color give it a few days: the if still not happy they would bring me back in and change the color I did that I went home for a few days I hated the color still , i called back Ray was not in I spoke with Grace at the front desk, Grace was to reach out to Ray and find out when I could come back in, and I've never have been contacted again so $130 for cut and color and I was unhappy and went to yet another salon for my fix. I feel like I was overcharged for the service I received. $35 for a trim. 1. My appointment was pushed back because the client before me ran late, which I can get over. It just adds to the overall negative experience. 2. I didnt have any product used, no shampoo, conditioner, hair spray. All she did was wet my hair. 3. She wet and trimmed my dead ends which took all of 15 minutes at the most. 4. I was not blow dried, offered to be blow dried, and obviously wasn't styled or flat ironed. I left with my hair wet in a braid that I braided. 5. I felt like she made the price up off of the top of her head on the spot as I paid on a square register on her phone, which also prompted a tip. So I actually paid $40. 6. I inquired about a manicure/pricing at the front desk and was offered zero information. Maybe I'm not cut out for a salon like this. I'm a non confrontational person so i paid and left. But I definitely won't go back. Not my kind of hair place. For a trim I would expect $25 at the most. If she actually had to do something, like shampoo, or blow-dry and flat iron I could see it going up to $40. I felt robbed when I left and that what I got wasn't worth what I paid. read more

DO NOT GO TO JACKIE!!!!!!!!!!! A hairdresser named Jackie messed up my hair. I had asked for my natural, virgin dark brown hair to be dyed to be a much lighter color--similar to an ash blonde shade--and the result was DARKER. It was 1% lighter compared to my roots, but more than half my hair color was lightened naturally because of the sun and heat. I pointed it out on the hair chart, showed her pictures, and she clearly knew. She said she would give it a beautiful honey glow by mixing some warm tones. After my hair was washed and she was blow drying my hair, I noticed that it was hardly lighter. I asked her if it's going to get lighter when it's completely dry and she looked stiff and answered "yes." Then she proceeded to hastily dismiss me with damp hair; probably because she didn't want me to see how failed it is. I went home skeptical, and when I dried my hair I was horrified to see my hair looking darker. I immediately called her, which she ignored. Then I called the spa and a rude hairdresser with an attitude picked up saying that she'll make sure Jackie calls me back. After a lot of time passed I called her again. She IGNORED my calls, and I know she ignored it because she was just fine answering and calling me when we talked about setting up an appointment. That is just cowardly and rude. If I could give this salon no star, that's what I would rate this place as. I have been to this salon two times. My last visit, was for sure my very last. When I say that my 4 year old could cut my hair better, I mean it when I say it. My hair was frayed, choppy with 6-7 different lengths of layers all around my head. I had to wait 30 days to get my hair to grow out a little more so that I could go to Alyssa at Floyd's 99-Addison to fix it. I messaged Cloud 9 Salon with the complaint and asking for a refund with no response. At the time of the poor cut, I wasn't able to notice what happened because the stylist had curled the ends of my hair to where I couldn't see what happened until a week later when I straightened my hair for the first time. The stylist did offer to fix my hair (shown in the first photo below) but after looking at the disaster that she had caused, my gut told me that I would regret returning. Needless to say, this was a far far fetch as a professional hair cut that I simply requested for layers. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE LONG HAIR. read more

I've never been to anybody but her at Cloud 9, so this is really a review about my stylist. I find the desk staff to be a little lackadaisical, but I have no qualms texting my stylist when it's apparent they haven't let her know I'm there. That said...Carley Malloy is my go to girl for losing the silver sideburns that just insist on reappearing! She was referred to me years ago and I've never been disappointed. She is excellent with color, and I've never gotten a bad cut either. I love her to death and would keep her my little secret, but hey...she's got to eat! I went to this place end of July. My hair was done by Britney Snyder. She over processed my hair 2xs and left it severely damaged. The owner offered to fix it and promised it would get better and he redid my hair again for the 3rd time 2 days later. Well here I am 2months after and my hair is so damaged that I have had to spend so much money trying to fix it. It is super fried and breaking off so bad. Since this has happen I am afraid for anyone to even touch my hair. It is embarrassing to even go out because of the damage to my hair. Worse hair problem in my life! read more

Today I had an appointment with Cindy at 4:45. I am brand new to the DFW area and have not had to find a new hair stylist in a very long time. I arrived at 4:40 and was told that Cindy was running 10 or 15 minutes late and to have a seat. I sat down and the wait began. After 25 minutes of sitting there with no follow up what so ever I asked one of the two girls up front how much longer would it be and this time please tell me the truth. She said she passed Cindy and she was putting foils on a lady's hair. I knew then it was going to be much longer than the stated 10 minutes. I asked her to check for me. She went to the back and said five more minutes. At this point it is now 5:20. At 5:30 I chose to leave. I am appalled at how they just expect you to camp out waiting for them as if your time is of no value. There was no follow through with me at all, not even an offer to get water. Just sit there because you have to. I chose not to. The little girls up front said what they were told but they even acted as if I was not there. Even when I told them how no one followed up or even offered a drink that is when she said do you want some water. I politely declined. Another lady came in and out with her hair done while I was waiting. Had Cindy called me to say she was running an hour late and to come in later I would have appreciated that but she obviously thought I would wait on her longer than the 45 minutes that I had already done. Went here about a year ago. Wanted to get my hair blonde, which I have been doing for the past 7 years. Everything was going great until she put the actual color on. Idk what happened but my hair turned a dark copper color. Mind you, I was going for beach/icy blonde. Didn't realize how bad it was till I actually got home and it was ORANGE PINK. Texted her to ask to fix it, came in the next week. Seemed annoyed that she had to deal with HER mistake. Tried to tone it out of my hair but then my hair ended up purple! I almost got kicked out of school for having "unnatural" colored hair. Stylist didn't own up to her mistake and blamed my natural hair color for it turning red. Again, I have been getting some form of blonde in my hair for 7 years and never had a problem before this. 6 months and thousands of dollars later with another stylist and my hair is finally back to normal. I have been going to Cloud 9 for a few years now. I called in to have a last minute appointment for a balayage hair color. They referred me to Jeremy Ruiz!! I showed him a photo of what I wanted and he said it wasn't balayage that I needed to get baby lights to achieve the look I wanted.. I told him I trust him as long as I get what is in the photo... YOU GUYS!! He colored my hair and I started to notice it is not as light as I wanted and my hair is not blended in as I wanted... my hair is dishwasher blonde, super easy to color. I said something and he kept assuring me that it will be pretty close to what I wanted. I trusted him because he kept telling me how good he is and been doing this for 30 years.. Fast forward, my hair looked NOTHING LIKE I WANTED. I wanted blended highlights and lighter hair. I ended up getting so many little highlights all over my head, basically look like a zebra now! I was so upset! He said if I still didn't like it when I went home he will redo my hair!! I texted him (he said that's the best way to reach him) and I haven't heard back in days!! She was great at listening to what I wanted but using her profession skills, as a stylist, to talk me in a direction to make my hair beautiful, both cut and color. She has amazing color skills. I am a person that likes to change my hairstyle to both really natural colors and to vibrant colors depending on the season in my life. She was able to do this. I am shocked this salon does not have more posts. Ive lived in the area for 10+ years and to my knowledge this place has been around for at least that long. My hairstylist made me wait 20 minutes before we got started, no biggie it was a busy Saturday afternoon. He foiled on a few strands around my face and had me sit in a chair outside of his station. He left me for over an hour! When he finally rinsed the color off I had to leave. I left with a wet head because I had to pick my daughter up. Truly disapointing because I had a wedding to attend that evening. The worst part is is that the stylist was recommended to me. Guess he was over booked that day.
