Until recently, I was unaware of Cloud 9 Massage as it is located in the quaint town of Ely. However, scrolling through Groupon, I found a coupon for Float Therapy at Cloud 9 Massage and immediately made the purchase. I had been intrigued by float therapy and desperately wanted to try it. I went into the appointment a little anxiety, but after being greeted by the friendly staff, that immediately faded. The staff was incredibly informative about the process and were able to answer all of my questions. After an informational video and a quick shower, I was ready to hop in the float tank. It took a few minutes to adapt to the sensory deprivation, but I took solace in the fact that a panic button was safely within reach. I was able to relax by slowly counting to 100. Doing so helped me clear my head and fully enjoy the experience. By placing my arms in the water over my head, I was able to relieve a lot of tension in my upper back and shoulders. I tried other positions, but this was my personal favorite. The 60 minutes quickly passed and I left feeling refreshed! I signed up immediately for a second session. Not only was my float experience wonderful, but my fiancé received a 60-minute Swedish massage which he raved about! Oftentimes, he complains about the lack of pressure applied on his trouble areas, but he was pleasantly surprised with the level of attention and detail given to his upper shoulders and back. read more

I have had two massages and have done the float with cloud 9! I had two different massage therapists and both were absolutely wonderful and hit all of my target areas! Be sure to get there early so you get to relax a few minutes before your service! I can't wait for my next one! read more

Tammy is the best. As in the best massage I've had in 25+ years of massage therapy! I did the 75 minute Ashiatsu. My muscles were bound up from some abnormal physical activity recently. After my massage I felt wonderful, all the tightness and pain was gone. read more

Lovely helpful staff, clean and well maintained, nice private float space with nearly everything you'd need to get on with your day after. It was my first time visiting Cloud9 and the float session discount for the month was one reason for me to try out a new place to float after experiencing so many others. My following comments in no way downgrade my rating because I feel they are personal preferences when floating and really depend on what exactly you're looking to get out of your float session. The water in the pod was hotter than I was expecting it to be or used to it being. Still relaxing (and probably the temperature most spa goers are looking for) but most of my session was more like a hot tub experience and I wasn't able to get to the headspace I normally do when looking to shut out the world for a while. About halfway through I propped open the lid of the pod about an inch with a towel and that seemed to be the solution to keep the temperature about right. She had mentioned at the beginning that some like to do that but I wasn't expecting for it to be because of the temperature building up inside. Knowing those few things for this specific pod now, I will definitely have a more enjoyable experience next time! read more

I contacted Cloud 9 this afternoon trying to make a Massage appointment I received as a gift. My Fiance got it for me and it came with a Gift Card in a tiny envelope and that is all. No policy info, no website info, just the specific card itself. It took me a couple attempts to try to book this Massage as apparently I wasn't following the guidelines correctly. They were booking 3 weeks out, so when I called I did not have my credit card info, I had never needed to give my cc to a Massage business prior to making an appointment and I have had several! The Woman behind the phone made me an appt. then requested my CC info and since I was at work on break I didn't have this on me. I then received a call from the owner of the company, Tammy Bryant. After her writing my Fiance on FB about me, she finally returns my call as I requested. For being a Business owner she was very unprofessional. She interrupted me as I tried to express my feelings to her, she stated I should have read her online policy prior to calling in to make an appt. I didn't even know she had a website!! She was rude, didn't care to listen to what I had to say at all, and after all this, I of course don't feel comfortable going to get a Massage there so she states she will NOT refund my $. She tells me to sell it to someone. Very unprofessional and I will never go to that establishment. Tammy stated she shouldn't have to provide her policy information to every client. read more
