I arrived with very high expectations as I had read all the reviews of Audrey O'Hara. All expectations were met and way beyond! I was so very impressed! Audrey is the consummate professional. She is highly skilled and trained. She is respectful and intelligent, and listens attentively as you tell her what your needs are. She works to accomodate your needs and is thrilled at being able to do so! My feet are sadly a mess, and she treated them as a challenge (in a very lovely nice way!) rather than a shudder! I feel like we are working together. It is a great relationship! She also appreciates and respects your need for a peaceful environment--if you indicate that you need peace, she is highly attuned and sensitve to that, and makes her salon area a quiet, peaceful place with iights dimmed and nice soft music.I haven't asked for specific music yet but I know if i did she would be on it in a heartbeat! So that is her personal profile--as for her skill and technique, OUTSTANDING! She approaches the feet more as a clinician than a technician. I have had skin issues since my teens and could never figure out the reason why treatments worked only temporarily. I have had everything from laser to microderm to micro needling and nothing seems to help my skin on a long term. I decided that I wanted to try a peel and looked for a place near iowa city and stumbled upon audrey's website. It is probably the best discovery I have made in my life because the two appointments I have had with her (one in August and one in September) has literally transformed my skin and life. She is so honest that during the first appointment she had told me that the issue is immense clogging and she actually spent the next 3 hours on my skin and that was a life changing facial/extraction for me. And the second appointment was a peel that transformed my skin further. I have been a client of Audrey's for a while and I was so glad I found her after moving to Iowa City from Chicago! She is amazing at what she does! Audrey was AMAZING! I went in for a Brazilian Wax (my first one!) and I wasn't even nervous from the moment we met. She is incredibly personable and does an amazing job. In fact, better than amazing! Audrey is a great waxer; she's very knowledgeable and professional. She does an awesome male Brazilian waxing. She does a good job of explaining it and comforting you as she goes along. Her salon is quaint but efficient. She does an awesome male waxing, something most salons in Iowa do not offer. I'd had a bad experience previously but Audrey assured me that this procedure would be nonirritating and effective - and it was! She was deliberate to make sure all of the hair was gone, made sure to help ease the pain where she could and made me feel extremely comfortable.
