I heard it had been refurbished a couple of years ago so went to see what the new interior had to offer last month. Gone are the old, outdated furnishings and the bright, restaurant-type feeling, and in are dark corners and rather retro wooden tables and chairs.
It's all very impressive, but it's not the sort of refurbishment that an 'old man's pub' in Yeadon needs. It now looks like a student pub, but it's usually full of elderly gents having a daytime pint, which gives the whole place a rather lost and confused atmosphere and ambience, despite the fact that the beers are cheap and the staff are friendly.
