I don't know if there still is, but there actually used to be an entire magazine devoted to t-shirts and t-shirt art and t-shirt culture, whatever the fuck that is. Hopefully that magazine has folded because really, how could it not? But the attitude that led to its creation also generates shops like this and Mr. Vintage and their online equivalents like Threadless. While I cringe at anyone wearing a 'Yeah Yeah Nah Yeah' t-shirt (these are the same dickheads who get an outline of New Zealand filled with korus tattooed on the back of their calf, and 'Born Here' written down their forearm in a script font), it's nice that our own pop culture is being recognised and celebrated, rather than just transposing US ideals onto us.
Anyway some of their t-shirts are pretty cool, although a bit pricey for my tastes. read more
