Wanted to get my Father's Grandfather clock serviced after sitting for 4 years. Called "Clockmaster" and scheduled an appointment. I also wanted to pay for it for my Father's birthday. Eddy rescheduled once and I couldn't be there to meet him. Called twice with no response. Eddy showed up basically started the clock and oiled the gears and then proceeded to BS my Father about how it doesn't have certain functions. Weird because all those functions worked before. Beware. Something is funny about this business. Took my wall clock in for an estimate. It took two weeks and was diagnosed with the need for an overhaul. Cost $450.. I later discovered that the clock was not even opened. The need for an overhaul was a sham. All it required was a spray of electronic cleaner and new clock oil in each pivot. My wife took our clock in for repair ,about 4-5 mo we got it and paid $390 on 12/6/2016 . About 9 months later it would not chime the whole week . I took it in and was told it needed oil and the chimes set . $75 more I paid . $465 . 8 week passed and it stoped again. He said he would put in a used movement of the same type . Well it was a Howard Miller movement and I can no longer set the speed and the hour strike stoped the chimed went out of sync. $465 latter and I still don't have a good working clock. read more
