I can't say enough good things about the Clock gallery. First of all they sell the coolest clocks there, must see. The customer service is on point, they care about their customers. I have been there three times already for clock repair and today for my Bulgari watch. Barbara opened up today on a Saturday just for me. Who does that? No one anymore. Her honesty was overwhelming. She repaired my watch while I waited - apparently the fancy jewelry store I took my watch to a few mths ago for a new battery not only put in a cheaper battery but it also didn't fit and was too small so it moved around and when I dropped it the battery moved and it stopped keeping time. Barbara replaced with a Swiss battery ( a better one than the fancy place gave me) she charged me $10.00! I paid anywhere from $35 to $50 in the past and waited 2 weeks to a mth. Barbara you could of charged me more. THANK YOU AGAIN. Always a pleasant experience and always successful work. I highly recommend clock gallery for repairs and to find an amazing new clock. New to the area, I had no idea where to go when I needed an expert to repair the shattered glass on an old barometer. Numerous locals, residents and businesses, referred me to The Clock Gallery with high recommendation. My barometer was repaired ahead of schedule, restored with beveled glass as the original was. (Another provider turned the job down, and previously is been told I wouldn't find anyone to replace the beveled glass.) I am so grateful. We recently took a Vienna Regulator wall clock for repair since the hammer was no longer connecting for a chime. Other than that, the clock was running beautifully. They called me and told me they had fixed the chime, but could not get the clock to run and it would cost several hundred dollars to repair. When I said that it had been working fine when I brought it in, they implied that I had damaged it in transit. Being antique clock collectors for 30 years, we have transported a few clocks in our time and never damaged one. I told them no repairs and picked up the clock. We transported the clock north and took it to our trusted antique clock dealer. He looked at it and said all it need was a replacement hook for the pendulum. Everything else was fine. Not sure how the pendulum hook was broken, but oh well. $65 later, I picked up the clock and transported it back to FL on our next trip. It has been hanging on the wall and is working beautifully. Before letting this shop do any repairs on your clock, I highly recommend getting a second opinion as they clearly did not know what was wrong with ours. read more

I normally let a bad experience go...but today's visit to the Clock Gallery in Sarasota left me speechless. I was picking up a small clock for an elderly man I do not know that had lost his wife recently. This clock was hers, so I was told is cherished. Upon my arrival, the woman sitting behind the counter did not look up or acknowledge my presence. Soon after a gentleman walked out from the back and asked if he could help me. I handed him the repair slip and pre written check for the payment amount on the slip. Apparently, the check did not include sales tax. The gentleman (and I use the term loosely) began to scold me that the amount was wrong and said rudely I "had to pay the government and they would not release the clock until paid in full!" I went to the car and retrieved a $5.00 bill and handed it to the man to cover the $3.50 in sales tax. Upon waiting for the receipt, the woman now rudely said, "You only gave me a dollar fifty, which isn't enough!" I told her I gave them a five. She then called the man out and he confirmed it was my change. I was so taken back that I said I couldn't believe how rude they were both being. Even more shocking, another man from the back said loud enough to hear, "Well you're an asshole." When I said, "did you just call me an asshole?!" He said, "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain." This experience was like being in the Wizard of Oz! I will never go back, nor will my family that owns Grandfather clocks previously serviced by them. read more

I should have read all reviews before doing business with the Clock Gallery. In August of 2018, I brought an older, United States Marine Corps wind-up clock into the shop as it stopped running (not unusual after some 50 years of service). The shop quoted me a high-dollar figure to have it "tuned" and adjusted, noting that they had to send it "out" and that there was a 3-4 month turnaround time. I left it with them. Around Christmas, 2018, I called and asked what the status was on the clock and was given some vague assurance that it was still being "worked on." I called again in May, 2019, and was told that yes, the clock was back but was being "timed." Two weeks later, I drove down to the Clock Gallery and questioned them about the clock; it was still being "timed." I noted that they had the clock for in excess of eight months, and they said, "well, that's the way it is." I then found out that the clock had come back from where they had sent it initially in OCTOBER of 2018, SIX months previously. I remarked that half a year would seem to be long enough to "time" the piece for accuracy. I was then told that they were the "only game in town" vis-a-vis clock repair (even though they had to send mine "out") and that "the other" repair shop was in Orlando and they took upwards of a year to fix clocks. I left before the steam coming out of my ears threatened to fog all the clock faces in the place. And guess what; a day or two after my visit, I was called and told the clock was ready for pickup. It is now back in its stand and, for the moment, running. Time will tell if it continues to do so [Pun intended]. read more
