Wow, I always enjoyed coming to Jenny, but today I felt like she was disrespectful to me as a customer. I can't deny that she does beautiful work, and she always told me that Sundays were better for her because it wasn't as busy. I think she just wasn't in a good mood today. All I asked was if she could cut my hair a little shorter, and she got upset. She didn't even want to wash my hair and practically rushed me out of the salon, even though I was the only customer there. It makes me sad because I really liked going to her. Men's haircut is $18+tip but the quality of the haircut is quite poor. I'd rather spend a little more and get it done somewhere else. I've got my haircut a couple of times from the Asian guy who works here, and on both occasions the cut is uneven, the lines are off and he fails to follow simple instructions. It's a simple 10-15 min haircut. I asked him to fix uneven cuts and he seemed offended. This is no way to run a business. Your work is far from perfect, so be open to feedback and give the customer what they want. read more

I came in on April 8th, 2025 for a quick haircut. I usually get my haircuts at another barbershop close by but it was full of people and I didn't want to wait there. So I came to Clips N Cuts by doing a random search for barbershops nearby on Apple Maps with my iPhone. There was no wait and an Asian lady got started on my haircut right away. She was done in 5-10 minutes. She rushed the haircut but I was happy with the haircut. I didn't want the top of my hair trimmed. I just wanted my sides cut and then I wanted a line up. They charge $18 for a men's haircut. I'd be back again next time if I need an emergency haircut. read more

To be quite upfront, I'm not the type of person to mind *too* much about having my hair done in a particular way. I just need my hair cut professionally, have it cut quick, and ideally not break the bank while I'm at it. This place checks all those boxes! Quite honestly they did an excellent job and far better than I was expecting. This place is a bit of a hole in the wall however, as there wasn't a ton of clear signage when I went and they were renovating the outdoor portion. A lot of hesitation as to whether I was even in the right spot when I first arrived though. Parking is a bit limited, but it's in a fairly residential area so not too much traffic in that part of town. As soon as I got inside, things went by pretty quick for two walk-ins for dudes with short hair. For the price point I was expecting mostly a quick buzz, but the stylist went so far as to go for details on the sides/back and scissoring out the front in layers, so props to them for sure. Really really happy to find this place after searching high and low for Asian hair salon that is open during the pandemic shutdown. I am definitely gonna be their regulars from now on. Both my daughter and I came for haircut, not knowing what to expect. Just told them we want some trims but they added some nice layers to to both of our hair and came out much better than I could ever imagine and the best part is the price was super affordable: $25 for my long hair+simple blowout and $15 for my daughter. I would recommend giving 30-40% tips on top of that. Unfortunately they don't take reservations but since there are 3 different stylists, they said there's barely any wait. They recommend you come with your hair already washed and still slightly wet for better experience. They do follow some covid-19 protocols like hand sanitizer, masks, each station and seats in waiting area are socially-distanced. They sanitize the seats after each costomer but they didn't use disposable salon cape. 1 thing that I'm not sure is whether they change the cape after each customer. But mine was taken out from a drawer. Since the area is covered, it's not hot at all and the floor is newly finished + wall was newly painted. They have TV also on the wall. Came here the first time on July 3rd, because my usual salon wasn't open and it's the only salon opens early and no appointment needed. Parking is limited in front of the salon, I only saw 3 spots; not sure if they have more in the back. I arrived at 9:15, they opened at exactly 9:30. I was greeted by a gentleman and I told him I wanted to dye my hair, then he asked the lady Jenny to assist me. Pros: Friendly people, I was offered coffee, and it was reasonably priced ($45 for long hair). Cons: I told Jenny that I wanted blue tone black, she gave me red tone black; when it's done I told her I saw red on my roots, but she said it's their ceiling lights. I went outside and checked again under the sun, it shows redish brown and it's obvious. I also asked if she put color on my ends because she was so focused on the roots, she assured me she did and I shouldn't see any grey hair afterwards; well, when I got home I checked the back, still see quite a lot of grey hair peaking through. I'm still giving 3 stars only because Jenny was very friendly and nice; but I won't be coming back. In fact, I need to go back to my usual place to re-dye my hair with blue tone black. read more

Horrible, and borderline traumatizing experience here. Took my 5 year old to this place. Normally, the stylists allow me to be around my kid during the haircut to make sure he's not too nervous, but the guy here (pete) refused to let me stand (even at socially distant standards) next to my kid, claiming I was in his way -- which was furthest from the truth. He yelled at me to sit down. He then threatened me, and yelled and said he wished he refused my service. All with my poor 5 year old watching. Came in as a walk in on a weekend for my little boys first haircut. The location is a bit odd in an old house. The stylist was very friendly and my little boy, who I expected to scream the whole time, sat nicely through it! You could tell the stylist was familiar on working on kids because he did little things like let my son feel the vibration of the cutters before actually using them on him. I was able to let my son sit in my lap while he got his hair cut, which I really feel like helped the entire experience. The cost was very affordable and we were offered tiny lollipops for the kids. There was nobody waiting, which should've been a bad sign. Got my cut and wasn't really paying attention. I paid and tipped and left. There was this guy who looked middle aged, neither do i know his name, nor do i care He was super overconfident, as if he had the divine ability to read my thoughts :( Rude and poor at communicating , he didnt even care to listen to the kind of style i was looking for. I requested my hair to be cut using scissors but he refused and used the machine instead. At the end, I am pretty sure there was mismatch in the length of hair on the sides and he wasnt ready to accept it. Instead he blamed the waviness of my hair. My partner is extremely picky with who cuts his hair, and with good reason too. We came here on a whim a year ago because he desperately needed a haircut. We've gone to other barbers since that first time and it just hasn't been the same. Price wise and quality wise. My partner also has a disability where it's painful to sit. They were willing to accommodate by cutting his hair with him standing up. AND STILL MANAGED TO GIVE A GREAT HAIRCUT! In my experience as a once growing Vietnamese girl, people who provided services would SOMETIMES lose professionalism once a non-Vietnamese client came in. They would become judgmental or giggle to their colleagues. But that doesn't happen here. It was my first time to go here for my son's haircut, i tried to show pictures of the haircut i want for my son and he just ruined his hair and try to blame it on me because i tried to show him 2 pictures of the haircut i want for my son but i explained it how i want it done.
